At first I got thinking you were bullshitting HODLing  with an improvement but I see what you were stressing is how to make a quicker recovery possible but if you buy again especially at the dips, they even out quicker. that is why the DCA approach is quite popular with HODLers.  Obiviously if you are HODLing without buying more, your average cost per Bitcoin remains high and would take much longer time to break even. There is a chance that the current price now will have its lower before it finally recovers. So assuming the next 3-6 months, it's from the end of year until the early 1st quarter of 2027 which is I also do believe is a good time to start planning getting more stacks. For sure, Dollar Cost Averaging is mostly the best strategy when we are in a bear market, since it minimizes the risk of your investment because you are not just buying a huge lot of Bitcoin in just one order, you are just buying a small volume every week or month, something like that. All those people who sold to make the price go down right now will be very upset when the time comes and the price skyrockets. There is no denying that many people are selling; if they weren't, the price wouldn't be going down, but that also means that we are going to see those people will be very unhappy when the price finally recovers.

It's true, some sold because they needed the money, others because they felt like it, others sold because they went short. We don't really know the reasons, but there has to be something behind it that the news doesn't mention. The news only talks about events happening in the world, and that's enough of an excuse to say that was the reason.

You are not making the right comparisons. The all-time high for Bitcoin in the last cycle was $69k, and then it dropped to $16k from there, and that isn't an 8x drop from the top, and I don't think we can count drops like that, because you have to measure it within 100% from the top price, which means that if the price is at $100k, and it drops to $20k, it is an 80% drop from the top, even though we could say that it's a 0.8x drop, but that doesn't make sense, and a price can't drop more than 1x of its value.

With that being said, there is no doubt that the bottom each time will be at a different level, because the top price or the all-time high keeps going higher, so the bottom will also be relatively higher than before. When the all-time high was $69k, the bottom was $16k, and now that the all-time high is $126k, the bottom will obviously be way higher than it was before, which is why most people are saying that the bottom won't be below $50k, but I don't think so, because I believe it will be somewhere in between $40k and $50k.

The market dip usually test investors patience. it's only investors with a tough and discipline mindset that see dip as a normal market phase. Yes the dip can be a good opportunity to accumulate more Bitcoin but some people over do it (over aggressiveness).  Being aggressive sounds good, but over aggressiveness exposes someone into more risks. It could be, but I think around 20% or more drop before we can finally see the bottom. And with that, we should really continue to accumulate as much as we can today and from the time that we could be in the bottom in the next coming months.

I still remember when I was new, I will always hear this advice. But I keep postponing it for whatever reasons until I finally understand what it means to do DCA early or at the start of the bear market so that you have a lot of leg room to save and obviously in the future you can maximize our profits. In the past, Bitcoin has experienced similar corrections before so it's very important to know that and a dip by itself doesn't change the bigger picture.

Also we know that nothing is guaranteed but looking at the market conditions, I think a new ATH is much more realistic than Bitcoin dropping to zero(that I don't even think will ever happen again)
