Even if it goes downward to $55k, I think it's still tolerable. $5-10k difference can be recovered fast because of how volatile Bitcoin can be. HODL is an acronym for Hold on for Dear Life... Something like that. This does not mean you should stop buying and "hold on" just as you described above. It simply means you shouldn't sell at loss. So, not selling at loss doesn't necessarily mean that one should stop accumulating.

The price should not be a concern for us as as it does not really matter what the price is currently trading at as the price of Bitcoin is going to always end up higher than we bought it as we keep holding it. It is clearly the best time to be stacking Bitcoin in several years now. It could get worse, sure. We are definitely closer to the bottom than the top now though. I think a good DCA strategy over the next 3-6 months will turn out to be a smart move for those that can hang on a few years.

Down to zero, is not possible even though it did not happen before still it will not be free fall so deep, a drop from to the lowest can happen, say it is below $50K where the market does not have a significant movement even sideways can be longer between the range now.

Medium-term to ATH --- it could happen, previously bitcoin had touched to $80K it did not last long instead returned to the starting point of decline, take advantage of buying now it's much better in any way your own.

That is the fact Bear market like this is one time that, investors who truly understand how the market really works to make sure that they continue to hold and accumulate Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been down for a while which implies that it's more easier to accumulate more Bitcoin, when compared to when the price is up.

Op, I don't see anything wrong with this advice. There are also many new investors who get scared by a small market drop and decide to sell, so they are advised to hold. Many above have said, I will also say that you are told to hodl but you are not forbidden to buy. If you have money to invest then start accumulating more btc. If you don't have money then just hodl and wait.

A good check is those who came into Bitcoin investment sometime last year when we experienced a pump in the price of Bitcoin in the market, reaching an ATH market price of at about $126k or so. Just imagine those who bought earlier when it was at about $50-80-100k, and it skyrocketed to that ATH price, the ln the difference is very much visible. Though it is down now, but we have a fate and HODLing hopefully.

When Bitcoin is way below ATH, DCA is the best way to handle volatility. No need to try and time the exact bottom, because no one can. If you look at previous cycles, the people who made the most money were the ones who ignored daily price swings and just kept buying for 4-6 years. For them, patience and conviction was everything.
The ones who actually make it are the ones who DCA, tune out the noise and only check their bags once every 4 years when the halving comes around.
