The season starts with this event in literally 1 day! The sports aspect isn't that important, I'm interested in the betting, and the odds at the moment are as follows:

Does +76% for the favorite's win sound like a good deal? But it's not so clear if you look at the history:

If we exclude the victories of the best club in the world in regular time, then over the last 10 years the fate of the title was decided either in extra time or in a penalty shootout, even if the imbalance in power was huge (PSG - Tottenham, City - Sevilla, Bayern - Sevilla). Extra time has long been cancelled, so Aston Villa only need to hold out until the penalty shootout to seriously improve their chances. In a situation where PSG is obliged to force the issue, what is better to take - a straightforward victory, a BTTS or a total?

That is the reason it is called preseason. The players are resting. I take preseason as a joke. The real matches are just about to start. I also think going for over 2.5 will be better. Only 2 matches was under 2.5 were played in the last 10 matches. I will also check over 1.5 which I think is more possible.

I never thought like this before, when I wanted to feel excitement from the game I always did bet on both teams to score which many times have proven to be a failed bet. It is only good if you use it in single bets and you need to win 4 out of 5 bets to be on profit. On the Super Cup game I think both teams will be able to score exactly because their pre-season performance has not been good at all. I think maybe throwing a couple of bucks on Villa can be a good choice here.

I forgot about this final and I honestly don't care that much. Both PSG and Aston Villa are very good teams. As a neutral fan I want more goals and more drama, regardless of the winner. The main question is will PSG consider this trophy to be a top priority? I've seen several UEFA super cup finals, where the Champions League winner(the strongest team in theory) had lost badly and the Europa League winner(or UEFA cup winner in the past) had shown a better performance and won the UEFA super cup by destroying their opponent. I'm neutral, but I might bet money on the underdog, which is Aston Villa. It's always a bit satisfying, when you see the underdog to win against the favorite.

PSG is the favourite to win the UEFA Super Cup trophy, PSG is still the best club in the world, PSG is the World Champions last season and if we look at Aston Villa squad they are not the same team because they have sold some of their players, Aston Villa can still perform well but not like the Aston Villa we use to know. I know that anything can happen because in football any team can win and it will not be a surprise but if looking at the both teams we can describe that PSG is the better team.

PSG won last two seasons UEFA Super Cup last against Tottenham and no one expects that kind of performance from Tottenham, but I still believe that PSG have a better chance of winning the trophy because they have a good squad and they played well when they want to trophy.

Sometimes I don't judge a team by playing friendlies when I knew that song we definitely not put any more of their efforts in this or risk we are players from performing all the best they could deliver, this is why some will not put in their first 11 and risk on playing friendlies, because they know that it is just a normal play that does not warrant them to concentrate much on, we are going to know all they've got when the season fully begins.

Since it's just a one-match competition, anything is expected. Aston Villa may lie low till the final third of the game before they strike and that won't be too surprising for a win. If you ask me, I'd say totals to stay on the safer side. Just because PSG won the UCL 2x, back to back doesn't mean I should underestimate Villa who of course claimed their first European honor since 1982.

I don't think we're about to experience a new type of "seriousness" aside what we have already seen in the preseasons. It's not a joke and we can all agree that no player wants to lose any match, be it preseasons or in the active league.

If no team score on time, the odd will in be increasing. I have used the strategy to bet on some matches, but the disadvantage is that if PSG score fast, the odd will significantly fall. But if PSG did not score, but the other team scored, the PSG odd will significantly rise but the problem is that even if PSG later won the match, you may not have bet on PSG because of the opponent that first scored.

Mate, extra time has been scrapped as of 2023.
If the match remains tied after regular time, it goes straight to a penalty shootout.
I think it will be a high-scoring match.
If the winner is decided by penalties, Aston Villa would have the advantage; Emiliano Martinez is an excellent goalkeeper when it comes to penalty shootouts.

Must see the line-up first before making a bet, who would have thought later that some of the core players from PSG still cannot be played that can affect the game even though on the basis of competing for trophies.

I don't want the game to end with a penalty shootout and Villa shouldn't be focused on penalties if not, it might make them focus solemnly on a defensive game which will become an advantage to PSG because they'll have the chance to attack aggressively and before you know it, they will find the back of the net.

Villa should play PSG bone to bone and also attack them at the same time because both teams are still very fresh and can bring out the best they gat. It will be shocking to see Aston Villa win this game.

Pre season is less important so teams don't add more strength when it's pre season games, PSG chance of winning Aston Villa in the super Cup is very high as they are currently the best team in the world now.

Though we can never predict football but i don't see Aston Villa winning PSG unless the game ended in penalty which could favor any side. Over 2.5 goals is possible because PSG is high scoring side what Aston Villa can only do now is to try and play defensively with some good counter -attack to see if they can get a goal if still they couldn't get a goal they should still be strong in their defense so they could end everything in a penalty shot out.

I think one interesting fact worth considering about this Super Cup is that Unai Emery has played in three Super Cup finals, all three times as Sevilla coach in 2014, 2015, and 2016, and he lost all three times. So, despite twice managing to force the match into extra time, he has never been able to achieve victory in the final. Therefore, the first thing that comes to mind is that PSG will get the Super Cup. But the odds there are small, around 1.4. And by the way, Enrique and Emery already met in the Super Cup final in 2015, when Enrique was Barcelona coach and Emery was Sevilla coach. That match also went to extra time, and Enrique won the cup.

It's gonna be a tough match, though its clear that the double European champions are more favourites to win. But I trust Unai Emery, he is always on his feet,  not easy to defeat, and always ready to make the difference. From the stats shown above, it's clear that he is hungry for this trophy, and will do all he can to go home with it this time. We know PSG isn't an easy side at all, sure it's gonna be a real fight.

Am confident the game will play over 2.5, if not more. The teams are no dull side overly defensive side. They are always out for business, and there surely will be goals. I think 1.5 will be a waste of odd because certainly, there would be goals

I don't care to look at any statistics between these two top coach because it's going to be a clear victory for PSG. If you look at the PSG team from last season until now, nothing much have changed from their UEFA champions league squad, but aston villa has sold one of their key players Morgan Roger to Chelsea, and teliemans has also gone to Manchester United, so you can see that they may be weaker than last season, and may not put up a better fight for this super cup final coming up as we expected, but even though the odds is smaller, I will still bet on PSG to win.

The only problem or my only worries about PSG is that since the league is just starting, they may have not found their rythme to compete fiercely in a game of this magnitude, because their preseason games entails so, but even at that, I believe that they will be too strong for aston villa.

Judging from the quality, experience and odds, PSG are very favored to lift the trophy. However, I am not convinced by the odds of 1.76 for victory in 90 minutes of normal time. If we look at the history of the last 10 finals, 7 out of 10 matches went to extra time and 4 out of 10 were decided on penalties. Even teams with "big gaps" such as PSG 2-2 Tottenham 2025, Man City 1-1 Sevilla 2023, and Bayern Munich 2-1 Sevilla 2020, are all stuck at 90 minutes.

Based on the history of the UEFA Super Cup, the winning UCL team almost always manages to lift the trophy. But to win in 90 minutes is very difficult. Aston Villa who are handled by specialist coaches in European competitions, will try to provide fierce resistance, at least they only need to survive 90 minutes to reach the penalty shootout to have a chance to steal the trophy from PSG.

I prefer to go to money line. 1.81 for PSG is tempting odds to miss. PSG might lose to Mallorca in their last pre-season, but they were not even playing a player from their main squad. So they obviously did it to take Supercup game seriously.
So i will go for them. I don't think Villa is strong enough to beat them consider they sold their key player, Rogers. Villa also looks pathetic based on their pre season results.

I don't see a sense to bet on Villa. Time for PSG to thrash Villa, then b2b win supercup.

I just checked the bookmakers’ odds. PSG to win is @1.81, while BTTS is @1.83. For the total goals market, we would have to take over 2.5 to get odds of @1.88.

For me, choosing the total goals option is slightly riskier because Aston Villa will most likely focus more on defending and hope the match goes to a penalty shootout. I predict it could end 1-1, or if PSG are really lucky, the final score could be 2-1.

I would personally go with BTTS because it carries less risk.
