It’s not a major event for the team that wins the Champions League. It’s a huge opportunity for the team that wins the European Cup. That’s why we often see surprising results in this cup. That’s why it’s not easy to place bets on it. The chances of a surprise result are very high, but I still think PSG will win this match. Also, I think the significance of a cup like this should be re-examined these days...
Well. One important reason I’ve looked into for UEFA is the commercial aspect of it all. The Super Cup is obviously another creative way of keeping the fans busy despite having no any other big European club season’s competition and also serves as the ceremonial opening of the entire season every year. If you look around the stadium , it is usually full of fans showing how good enough they are making money from their commercial materials including the tickets they are selling, the billboard adverts and more. Then let’s also look at the TV promotions and social media promotions too.  These are all a lot of money fifa is making organizing such competition. So sometimes we should look at it from the business side because these guys are also looking towards such angle too.

But all the results have favored the teams that won the Champions League, so no surprising results, although there are one or two times that the game has gone to the opposite but the major wins have always been the Champions League winners, which is the same thing I expect to happen once more. PSG are just not a force to be reckon with, they have won Aston Villa before in the Champions League and they will do so again.

I prefer to go to money line. 1.81 for PSG is tempting odds to miss. PSG might lose to Mallorca in their last pre-season, but they were not even playing a player from their main squad. So they obviously did it to take Supercup game seriously.
So i will go for them. I don't think Villa is strong enough to beat them consider they sold their key player, Rogers. Villa also looks pathetic based on their pre season results.

I don't see a sense to bet on Villa. Time for PSG to thrash Villa, then b2b win supercup.
Any one going for Aston villa to win Paris saint Germain is only trying his luck incase the game comes in favour of Aston villa since they have a big odd. 1.81 odd for Paris saint Germain to win is a nice one but anyone who wants to play this one game must bet with a reasonable amount of money so that the potential win can come up, Paris saint Germain is still the favorite team to win i don't think Aston villa can stand the pressure that Arsenal couldn't withstand in the champions league final.

Neither team's pre-season form is particularly impressive, but what stands out to me is that Aston Villa's matches tend to be high-scoring.
On paper, PSG looks like the clear favorite, but their opponent is Aston Villa—certainly not a weak team.
If I were to place a bet on this match, I would choose the "Over 2.5 goals" option.
That way, I’d feel the excitement during every attack and every scoring opportunity.

PSG doesn't show mercy to English teams so I can't gamble the odds against them because I know how risky it would be. Not that Aston Villa is that bad in performance but PSG will not give them the opportunity to win the Super Cup just as they didn't allow Tottenham to win them last season. Over 2.5 is very good option because even if PSG wins, Aston Villa should be able to get a goal. BTTS is also another good option because they can play a 1:1 draw then PSG can win in penalty shootout.

Pre season is less important so teams don't add more strength when it's pre season games, PSG chance of winning Aston Villa in the super Cup is very high as they are currently the best team in the world now.

Though we can never predict football but i don't see Aston Villa winning PSG unless the game ended in penalty which could favor any side. Over 2.5 goals is possible because PSG is high scoring side what Aston Villa can only do now is to try and play defensively with some good counter -attack to see if they can get a goal if still they couldn't get a goal they should still be strong in their defense so they could end everything in a penalty shot out.
PSG looks more stronger than Aston villa but then we can't overlook what aston is capable of doing to Psg if they let their guard down. In football anything could happen which is the reason why aston villa can't be underestimated because PSG seems stronger than them. if Aston villa can play better they might have a chance to beat PSG,perhaps the game might not end in a penalty. PSG is the best team in the world but there are also not invincible as they can be beaten by Aston villa. In this game, I think the Over 2.5 seems better because they might be lot of goals in this match.

If we exclude the victories of the best club in the world in regular time, then over the last 10 years the fate of the title was decided either in extra time or in a penalty shootout, even if the imbalance in power was huge (PSG - Tottenham, City - Sevilla, Bayern - Sevilla). Extra time has long been cancelled, so Aston Villa only need to hold out until the penalty shootout to seriously improve their chances. In a situation where PSG is obliged to force the issue, what is better to take - a straightforward victory, a BTTS or a total?[glow]

Paris Saint-Germain are the clear favorites for this match, with the majority expecting them to lift the trophy & seal the win in regular time. They are an attacking team, so I think betting on BTTS would be a good choice, because Aston Villa also have a good chance of scoring. I haven't checked the odds for BTTS yet, do they reach 1.70?

I just checked the bookmakers’ odds. PSG to win is @1.81, while BTTS is @1.83. For the total goals market, we would have to take over 2.5 to get odds of @1.88.

For me, choosing the total goals option is slightly riskier because Aston Villa will most likely focus more on defending and hope the match goes to a penalty shootout. I predict it could end 1-1, or if PSG are really lucky, the final score could be 2-1.

I would personally go with BTTS because it carries less risk.

My thoughts exactly on playing strategy for Aston Villa. I see them playing a defensive strategy with hopes to counter attack PSG. I wouldn’t expect anything different from them though, PSG is the better and rightly the favorites here, we can expect them to be a lot offensive and are very capable of keeping a clean sheet against Aston Villa.

The win market is the more probable to place a favorable bet and 1.85 odds for PSG to win is a good one too.

Although PSG looks the clear favorite to win this game but you can’t write off Aston villa in this game too. The both teams have met twice in a competitive knockout game in the champions league. PSG have won Aston villa before in the champions league in France and so do Aston villa won at home in the return leg, although PSG advanced as a result of goal aggregate. Now they will be meeting in a neutral ground, the season is just getting started and you never can tell how prepared and sharp the players are currently which makes it difficult to decide, but judging from previous meetings I’ll rather go for a both team score than outright win.

That is the reason it is called preseason. The players are resting. I take preseason as a joke. The real matches are just about to start. I also think going for over 2.5 will be better. Only 2 matches was under 2.5 were played in the last 10 matches. I will also check over 1.5 which I think is more possible.
Honestly I agree with your opinion, betting on a certain team to win the game is even more difficult to predict and win now. Most especially when the league is just about beginning. you can’t tell  the performance of any club after the long break, and the preseason aren’t the true representation of a team because most first teams player are often not featured in the games from the start they mostly come in when it’s about die minutes. That why I feel like betting on total number of goals should be easier to predict than banking on only one side. Over 2.5 goals to be scored in the enter game time feels safer for me too if were to bet on the game also.

Aston Villa are missing 3 important players, Tielemans, Morgan Rogers, and Digne. If we simply look at this part, it's easy to say that they would lose against PSG. But looking at PSG's recent match and the number of friendly matches being played after the last season, Aston Villa seems to have a more prepared team, although we can't take friendly matches as important stats.

However, I am still favoring PSG for this match. I am just not sure if they can win it in just 2x45 minutes. I also think of placing over/under, but over/under 2.5 doesn't seem to offer good odds. Less than 2 for both. My prediction is either 2-0 for PSG, or just 1-1 in 2x45 minutes.

The odds look very interesting as you said and could attract more interest from gamblers. If you talk about the needed winning the odds does not also look bad or even deceitful since we already know these teams and what they're capable of doing. Aston villa was great during the Europa League tournament and can also hold PSG to a less scoreline. The odds would let any gambler to play with caution because if you undermine anyone you can get a shocker. Aston villa had a smooth ride over SC Freiburg in a resounding 3.0 win in may while PSG struggled to beat Arsenal. I am not ignorant of the fact that their opponents were also of different strengths but then cruising over SC Freiburg and struggling over arsenal could mean a common boundary. If there was still extra time I could say the game will be decided in extra time but now I would say the game could be decided at the dying minutes of the game or perhaps, penalty. Aston villa understands PSG is a better side and may not pull out entirely to play this game, so there's likelihood that it will end in draw and then decided in penalties.

First official match before the season fully begins among the top leagues in the continent. Tomorrow it's either PSG wins their second successive UEFA super cup trophy or they don't. Personally, I will see this match as something PSG will and can easily win because of their previous results in international club football but there again this is football and nothing is 100% certain in terms of who wins. 2 seasons ago, in the quarter finals of the Champions league between Aston Villa and PSG, although the first leg was won by PSG but the second leg, Aston Villa proved back then that they were not a push over, they almost eliminated PSG, infact that was the toughest game I watched Vs PSG. Even though I think PSG will win, I will still not underestimate Aston Villa.

That is it, football games are unpredictable i see almost everyone giving the UEFA super cup trophy to PSG already when the game hasn't been played i know, this is because PSG has more quality and good players than Aston villa but still we can't still conclude that PSG will eliminate Aston villa as nothing is 100% sure in football just as you have spoken.

Aston villa shouldn't be underrated we should remember that they also won UEFA Europa league trophy just as PSG won the UEFA champions league trophy so i will definitely see this game as what is not going to be very easy for PSG to win as most people think.

I believe that this winning odd that is 1.82 will definitely shrink to 1.30 or lower from now till the game kickoff tomorrow, if bettors keeps on selecting PSG to win, but we should avoid going all in while betting on this game because if PSG disappoints, it's going to be heartbreaking to many.

No, I think such a drop in the odds is unlikely. The lower the odds on PSG to win become, the higher the odds on Aston Villa will get. And in that case, there will be players who choose to bet on Aston Villa, perhaps on them not losing in regular time or something similar, and that will push the odds back toward equilibrium. So I don’t think the odds on PSG will drop below 1.7. I’ll most likely side with the majority here, PSG are clear favorites for me. The best Aston Villa can hope for is a draw, but I expect PSG to win in regular time.

I will be favouring PSG to lift the trophy if I may be gambling on this game because they are the clear favourite here, but my concern is that almost everyone is betting on PSG to win, which I believe makes it more difficult for PSG because Aston Villa will want to do everything possible to prove a point.

If there is any team to win this game then it will be PSG for those going for a straight winning like myself. Aston Villa have lost couple of their important players in this season transfer windows and this players  I’m talking about are the ones who used to orchestrate Aston villas counter attack because I know for sure that Unai Emery cannot come out to play attacking football with PSG if not he will concede too many goals. Aston villa will be relying on counter attacks trying to exploit the space left by Hakimi and Mendes in the left and right wings, but they are now without their explosive players like Morgan Rogers and Youri Tieleman which they will struggle to break into PSG defense. But PSG already have All their important players back, Dembele, Doue, kvaratskeila who will do the damage against Aston Villa defense.

You probably rarely check live odds. Even if PSG starts the game with ten men, the odds are unlikely to fall below 1.30. In general, no matter what's happening, pre-match odds rarely move sharply. The biggest movement I have seen was from 1.7 to 1.5 within an hour (at the last World Cup) and a few years ago when Real Madrid played Liverpool in the Champions League, at first Liverpool was the favorite of the match, then within a week the roles changed (1.8 -> 2.2). If you want to bet on Aston Villa, it’s better to do it now.

Yeah, PSG is going to win the match. I don’t think anyone should be arguing that because they are the better team. There is no way Aston Villa will be able to win PSG because they are not actually informed or strong enough to stand PSG.
PSG is a team that attack very well and Aston Villa don’t have the defense to stop them so it is a clear win for PSG.
If Dembele performance very well in the match, he is going to actually win the ballon d’Or. I don’t think they are going to argue anymore. All he needs to do is to perform very well in this super cup.
I don’t think Aston Villa will be able to score a goal in this match so it will be a wrong prediction to say Aston Villa is going to have a goal in that match.

I like this affirmation but did you know anything can happen in sport? What if the match ended in draw and moved ET and AET? Anything is possible in football. What if Aston Villa later won or be the club that won the Super Cup? I know PSG is stronger team than Aston Villa team but anything is possible.
