I was going through X to see recent news feeds, then i came across this this video you can watch it in your free time but trust me you’ll be very disappointed at what you’ll see. For those who are not X, it’s concerning a young man who talked about voting Tinubu because he doesn't want to betray his tribal man. He said "Peter Obi would do better but I'll vote Tinubu cause i don't want to betray someone from my part".

This is the reason why we ain't moving forward as a nation, Tribalism is like a virus eating the soul of many citizens, people choose to suffer in silence just for an inefficient leader from their tribe to remain in power, in that video you’ll see how the young man acknowledged that Obi would do better but Tinubu who's failed the country would get his vote.

We all want change but the country won't change if many people still have such mentality. I'm not saying it's bad to support someone from same tribe achieve their goal but not when it's against the progress of the nation, choosing a failed leader over someone with potential is a high level of foolishness, the politicians woukd always have the edge if we allow them keep using tribalism to fool us.

Tribalism is one of the major challenges we have as a people because just imagine what the young man said in the video that he can't vote Tinubu out of office just because he is a Yoruba Man, even at the detriment of his life he still prefers to vote in a Man whose interest is just to rule and complete his second tenure without having the interest of the people at heart.

Tinubu was interviewed in a recent video and he told the Interviewer that he doesn't know that Nigerians are suffering when he was asked and that suffering has been there even before he became president, just look at the statement from someone we call a leader and yet people still wants to vote him again because he is of his tribe, such a shame. This is to further buttress my point that the country is all about tribalism, since Tinubu became president and things are not going down well, none of his tribe men has protested against him the way they did against Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan, I'm disappointed that he chooses a failed leader against someone who will do better to revive the economy and make Nigeria a better place.

I’ve actually came across this video a while back, months ago I think and it’s actually pathetic how this is still happening in our country today. And the most annoying thing about this is that the Majority of the voters constitute of people like this.. this politicians can easily use Religion or Tribalism to influence their voting choices.

This made me realize that the people that are actually interested and ready to change this country by making their votes count aren’t that much, because if someone as young as this guy has this mentality then think of other people in the far rural communities in the country that might not even have proper education to start with..

The current president Bola Admed Tinubu had 3years to proof to prove to the Nigerian people if he should be voted for next tenure and he failed woefully in all sectors. And for the fact that some people have chosen to vote for tribe over competence, it clearly shows how "Olodo Culture" have eaten deep into the average common Nigerians. Because if you check very well, sometimes it's obvious this guy is not benefiting anything from this government, but for the fact that the person in power is their tribal man, that alone is enough for them, which is very bad. Because if this is the mentality of every Yoruba man, then it's obvious that Nigerians are not yet ready for the change they seek. However, if the person that made that video is a content creator, then sometimes these guys do this for engagement baits, so that they can get views by making such hateful comments..

Well, this has always been the problem. Others are there. But this one right here is a virus. Wanted to write it's like. But it is a virus. Honestly, people have to learn the hard way. For me if I were to be a leader. I would separate the country. As you like your tribal person and don't care whether he is competent or not at the detriment of everybody. Let him rule over you and let's see the outcome. I have 100 more years to see it. People just have to learn the hard way. And it is coming.

Tribalism is a major problem in Nigeria. For me, that man only did what he believes was right but deep down he is actually wrong because voting for his kins man based on the fact they are from the same tribe is corruption.. Maybe he must have did what he did because he may have been brainwashed by his tribal chiefs or traditional  rulers that if he vote for anyone who is not from the same tribe as he is then he has betrayed his people. I believe this is common in the northern parts of the country where people are brainwashed to vote for their fellow Muslims or Christians candidates that then won't make heaven if they do  otherwise. I don't know how many person may  have been brainwashed like this but If something isn't done real fast then this  might land us into a greater problem in the upcoming general election.

This is one of the problems we have as a nation. This person would have even want to compare the two and point out where Peter obi is lacking and not fit for presidency rather than outrightly saying that he will not vote him because he’s not of his tribe. That would have been a different reason and approach as to what he termed the reason for not going to vote for Peter Obi. This is what is happening even in the geo-political zones, states and local government. We tend to vote for people of same race, religion, tribe or whom we share something with to represent us even when they show many qualities that they’re not fit for the job. Unless we change our mindsets, these things will continue to cause havoc and will continue to disunite us as a nation.

The governor of Edo state said the same thing on the news. Now I understand that tribalism is what is actually bringing this country down instead of moving it forward. The hardship, and economic instability we are experiencing in Nigeria is affecting everybody including the Yorubas who are from the South West, and is not relegated to one particular people, as for me, am after someone who will lead Nigeria well, and as well make the economy, and Nigeria at large a better country to stay. To be very honest, this present administration lead by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu is recorded as the worst leadership so far the Nigeria leadership history is concern, and it will be very wrong for APC government to go back to seat because I still foresee they will likely do more havoc to Nigeria economy than they have done now.

If you on X and see how Nigerians of different tribes insult each other you'll be ashamed of being a Nigerian, you'll barely demand for accountability from the President without someone from his tribe raining insults on you and it's become so worst that people don't care if they suffer, they rather turn political beggers than allow someone from another tribe especially (Igbo man) take over.

That has made me realise that some of our politicians doesn't want unity in Nigeria for their selfish interests they know that if there's unity people including those from their tribes would demand accountability and vote someone competent so they use the traditional leaders to corrupt the minds of people against other tribes

The greatest tool that has kept Nigeria stagnant is tribalism, the second one is religion. The country is just too multi-lingual, even in some states we have up to 20 different languages, in the core Eastern part of Nigeria for example you will observe that some Igbo’s finds it difficult to understand the Ebonyi man’s language, in the southern part of Nigeria the language is extremely diverse, the Rivers man can’t understand the Akwaibom man so also the the Bayelsa man can’t understand a Crossivarian it’s so bad that even within a state ethnic groups can’t understand each other, take Rivers for example you will observe that an Ikwerre man can’t understand a Kalabari man, so also an Ogoni man can’t understand someone from Etche, the list is endless that is why the Nigerian growth is slow, everyone sees others like a stranger and that has always been the major barrier to the country’s growth.

If you observe most developed countries in the world like China, Russia, France, America etc all have a central language that is generally accepted and understood by all, and that has been the bedrock for development in the developed countries, i just hope Nigeria would one day emulate same pattern so that growth can spread easily across various regions and so that this dubious politicians won’t continue to use it as a tool to suppress the masses.

Actually, I believe one of the reasons why this psycho said this in that video is literally because he's not from or staying in a state where kidnappers and bandits are that's why. If by any chance he stays in any of those states, he will see some reason not to vote for the same person who's not making any progress for the country. Well, if he's not a psycho then he will think of others well being, because it's obvious that's he's gaining from the government that's why he's saying he will vote for the current President during election.

However, all Moslem tribes really like their fellow Muslims because they have same belief system. But fortunately there's are some wise people who know when to speak up when their fellow brothers with the same belief system are doing something wrong.
The reason for saying this is actually because I have seen a lot of videos were fellow Muslims are not happy for the current President.

Just like what I said earlier, those who are benefiting from this government will speak up while those who are not benefiting will complain and that's life. But we all should know that it's important to fight for the future benefits than fight for present benefits that will not last long rather it will spoil the country more.

I just watched the video recommended above, and to be frankly speaking, I was thinking maybe I will see a local government chairman, a house of rep member or even a common as a ward councilor in the video, who is heavily benefiting from this government, but only to be surprised when I saw a random individual with big teeth, opening his dirty mouth to say he will still vote Tinubu come 2027 simply because he is from his tribe. Omo, I wipe for this country no be small, and I also pity all those who will collect #5k and a bag of half loco rice at polling units during the day of the presidential election. Because if by mistake Tinubu happens to come back, then you should be rest assured that the cost of living in this country will be worse than it is today. And the best thing anybody can do to himself come 2027 is to look for a better alternative to earn a living, rather than relying that our economy will ever get better as long as these corrupt individuals are still in power.

I opened the link to watch the said video but I didn't bother myself to play the video as the write up above the video showed me what I was supposed to hear in the video. I'm not surprised with the young man bold claim of not voting for Peter Obi even when he knew Peter Obi would do better than Bola Ahmed Tinubu if elected as the 17th president of Nigeria because a typical Nigeria man or woman would rather vote for his tribe man or woman even when the person isn't incredible to occupy a political office than voting for someone that would bring good governance. The tribalism politics that is being played in the country is the major reason why our leaders are treating us the way they like and enrich themselves and if we Nigerians can't unite as one and seek for governance from our leaders our country won't get any better and things will continue to get worse in the passage of time.
