How are you? Hope you all are doing well. As we are livig in the arena of technology where we are hugely dependent on technology for our daily activities  including machines, robots and many other tools.  These advancements have revolutionized our lifestyle and made our lives more easier. However, along with all these benefits nations are using digital tools against each other. They are launching cyber attacks on each others' infrastrucure for the sake of their own country's benefits.
The Ukraine Power Grid Attack is the major case in point. During the year of 2016-2017 Russia's hackers  shut down at least three power distribution stations. As a result , 230,000people lost their power conection and faced blackout. It is the first known cyber attack that proved countries could attack on their rivals through cyber technology  without using missiles. Through these attacks one can easily destroy others economic, energy, and another country's important infrastrucutre.

The private sector is not left out on this threat. As they are well connected to the government affairs. Cyber is another all new angle of how war is now. You could easily tell who there a missile to your country. But it is much harder to tell who hacked who. With all this and if they are well protected will always have a weaker link. Social engineering is one big deal and this aspect of hack is very hard to actually secure because it deals with the human emotions. With all this preventing is will all come to our mind.  But I think it is not enough to wage war against cybercrime. Technologies need to be created that can detect any cyber attacks quickly. As the need for cyber security rises. So as the need for those who can actually frontier this security.

The technologies already exist. Cybersecurity attacks are much easier to operate with the help of artificial intelligence, so humans don't need more technologies to be created. What we need is more cybersecurity expert that can investigate attacks, because if an attack remains undetected the more damage it will cause. More professional cybersecurity officials are needed. We have a few of them who are equipped for the job.

I’m not disputing that having cybersecurity professional is not important but the big challenge should be making security part of our everyday operation not just by relying on experts after an attack has happened. A well trained security can still struggle and find it difficult if employees fall for phishing or ignore basic security practice.

AI may make attack easier but it can also improve detection and response as well. Personally I think the best advantage can come from the combination of better technology with skilled people and better security awareness.

That is cyber warfare and that's another way of attacking the opposing country if ever they have good infrastructure and high technology economics. The advance countries are investing into their cyber security and hiring more experts to do it for them and so, they're protected in the cyber space. While the others are only looking at it as an additional cost, they don't see the importance of it for their advancement. Are drone attacks can be considered cyber attack? because it also involves computer intervention and programming in it despite it being a physical attack.

U read somewhere in the news that my country is currently working on transferring the cloud storage data of the country from US based to National hosted, thus are measures that could help improve national security and reducing dependency on other countries for sensitive aspects of the security like cyber space, but the bigger challenges in this is, if the indigenous security companies have the capability to secure the cyber space and whether they cyber security tool is well enough to combat and handle any security challenge that raises in the future.

The only means nations would be able to tackle these cyberattacks is to develop defensive systems. Developing nations are prey to other highly technologically advanced nations. With the advancement in AI technology, countries will keep advancing their cyberattack and security systems.

China is leading in the AI robotics field. Elon Musk predicted that China might overtake the US in the AI industry.

China isn't leading currently.  They will eventually have the most compute on earth, but I don't believe that is true today.  American large corporations still have all the money and are in control of a majority of the hardware.  When China does take the lead on earth, SpaceX will be building out datacenters in orbit and that is where Elon has said that 99% of the world's compute will be eventually.  At least in the beginning, that space will be dominated by the United States.

Cyberattacks has also been one of a flexible means of destruction which rival's can be at their ends using sophisticated softwares to launch attacks on their targets digital security or networks.
What's goes around comes around. This is the effects of the advanced technologies we believe had made live easy but also disastrous on causing more destructions.

Money can influence efficiency. It is easy for the USA to improve efficiency because they have the money to do so. All they need to do is increase taxes on the citizens, and boom, efficiency has increased.

With money, the US will have access to the best AI researchers and engineers, fund universities and research offices, and acquire the best AI companies in the world. Trump already has Jensen Huang, a true friend and founder of NVIDIA. Borin Taiwan, but is an American citizen.
