Hello everyone. Let me encourage us a little.

It’s been months since I last posted, but I’ve been reading through the comments and watching the mood around the market, and honestly, I think people’re getting a little too caught up in the short-term price action, like traders. Bitcoin has been stuck in roughly the $67,000–$57,500 range in 3 months, I keep seeing people describe it as boring, weak, or even unreliable. I actually think the opposite. When you look at everything Bitcoin has had to deal with over the past months, the fact that it’s still sitting around $64K is impressive.

Think about what it survived this year:

  • Escalations around the Strait of Hormuz which caused moves in oil prices that could have economic chain effects.
  • The recent Coldcard hardware wallet security exploits, the trust on Bitcoin security, and the FUD around it.
  • The huge initial ETF outflows.
  • The US job reports, interest rate, and important unfavorable announcements.
  • Michael Sailor breaking his no-sell promise, using Bitcoin as a source of liquidity, casting doubts on how long institutions can hold.

If it were in the early cycles, especially 2018 and 2022, these could have caused Bitcoin to fall 20% in a short time. But this time, it barely moved. It has continued to defend the $60,000 area despite the temporary year-low. That is resilience.

Institutions Keep Buying, A Sign of Hope

As retail traders wait and are complaining, the big money is quietly being accumulated by institutions, with US Spot Bitcoin ETFs bringing in over $853 million from August 3 to 7, led by BlackRock’s IBIT. Also, Fed is becoming supportive of easier monetary conditions and weaker jobs data is adding to the case for rate cuts possibility. Bitcoin should benefit from the more liquidity.

My Question to the veterans here:
Do you think this sideways action is shaking out impatient and overleveraged traders before a possible bullish breakout?

Bitcoin was never going to go straight up in a perfectly clean line. There are always going to be periods where the market gets tested, prices go nowhere and looks static, leverage gets liquidated, and people start wondering whether the whole thing is a losing trap. But don't get discouraged, sometimes the most interesting part of Bitcoin happens when nothing seems to be happening. Therefore, continue accumulating.

In every bear market, there will always be a shake down, as there are investors that opted to get out and liquidated their holdings because they don't want they are seeing. And I would say that it is going to be the normal in this kind of cycle. Just imagine, from $126k to $65k, that is a almost 50% decline already.

We don't know how long this bear market is, or if we have touch the lowest low or if capitulation had happened already at $57k. So it's not the question whether it's boring as it is trading sideways or sitting around $64k-$65k is impressive. It's how to take advantage of this cycle, if institutions keeps accumulating, why not average joe like the rest of us DCA and look at the bigger picture?

From a valuation perspective, Bitcoin may be nearing a level of maturity (price stability) where even global macroeconomic factors contribute only 1–5% of its volatility, a consequence rarely considered by short-term speculators. Yet, this is not necessarily a bad thing; Bitcoin may well be a few steps closer to global scale payment adoption. After all, much like in the gold market, if price fluctuations become too bored, they can simply increase their leverage.

The price of Bitcoin has been limited to between $60 and $70k for a long time, but despite various events, the price of Bitcoin has not skyrocketed. Currently, the amount of Bitcoin investment has increased globally, where enough companies are holding Bitcoin for a long time and treasury companies are also involved. And there are countless Bitcoin investors who use this Bitcoin holding to eliminate their future financial needs, saving for the future so that they can survive inflation.
Because Bitcoin plays the biggest role against inflation, where people are foolish to deposit cash, if Bitcoin can be invested in that place with that amount of money, then it will definitely play a sufficient role in eliminating future financial needs.

Knowing how volatile Bitcoin can be in a bullish momentum made it to be difficult for most investors and weak traders/holders to keep up with their holding, knowing well the nature of Bitcoin movement. It is hard to say if the price of Bitcoin has reached its bottom, and it is difficult to say when the next phase of the market will surface, therefore investors sell off to put their money somewhere else, when Bitcoin is facing decline.

Bitcoin has seen situations that made it strong over the years gone bye, and seeing same thing at this current time, it doesn't flinch anymore, rather it moves in its desired direction, not because of politics or some sort of hype from public figures, rather making its firm stand.

I think there is no doubt that in the 60k area we are seeing a lot of buying support. Bears broke through a couple of times and even achieved some lower lows, but only by a few %.

But despite the quite static floor, we don't see an upward movement yet. For me, the reason is due to the popularity of the "4 year cycle theory", which would predict another lower low in late 2026.

In many bearish years actually a sideways market like now was still broken once more, with another 20-30% crash (or even more in the first 10 years of Bitcoin). And I don't rule out this could happen still, due to the speculation on a self-fulfilling prophecy of a low roughly a year after the October 2025 high. Or due to some random news which would have barely an effect in bullish years, but could let people think that the floor is still lower.

On a whole, however, I think if there is such a final capitulation crash, it's likely it could be much lighter than many expect (if there is no Black swan like a massive hack, AI bubble burst etc., of course). Because I think people could get impatient and begin to buy earlier to frontrun the "bottom buyers", and by that logic the bottom should move to an earlier point in time in each cycle. If we compare 2017's top (December) with 2021's (November) and 2025's (October), such a movement has already ocurred at the ATHs, albeit in a very light way. It has to be seen if the bottoms begin to move, too. A quick lock to the charts showed that this indeed could be the case, because in 2014/15 the bottom was in January, in 2018 it occurred in mid-December, while in 2022 it was in late November.

So perhaps if in early October no capitulation has taken place, people could slowly begin to buy again massively.

This is what the diehard fanatic Bitcoin supporters have been dreaming for more than a decade. Big banks, investment funds and corporations buying more BTC and preserving Bitcoin's price stability. Grin The retail traders are always late to the show. They wait and complain during a sideways market, but they will start buying like crazy once the bull run begins. They are the sheep, that are following the shepherd. The big investors are the "shepherd".
The things Bitcoin haters are saying in regards to Bitcoin can be turned into a meme.
BTC haters when the Bitcoin price grows: "Bitcoin is a bubble!" BTC haters when the Bitcoin price stays stable: "Bitcoin is boring!" The haters will always find something to complain about.

Two things are clear here, the over-leveraging traders will meet more of their Waterloo this season, except those who are smart with a tight stop loss, and that are using the S/R techniques to limit their losses, and if they are lucky to follow the right direction, it would be an added advantage for them.

However, what Bitcoin is experiencing now in the sideways is a matter of indecisive market condition; a situation where the buyers and sellers have almost the same power per period/phase. Fortunately, this moments don't last forever, as there would be a breach away (lower or higher).

For me, I wouldn't written off the downside completely yet, and the close of this month would determine a lot on the next Bitcoin's movements.

Interesting but true. Haters always will hate Bitcoin, never mind whether it’s on a bull trend or a down trend. But more interesting is that even a few investors become boring and afraid when Bitcoin starts dumping or is stable. I saw many questions during the bull run: should they buy or not? While Bitcoin's recent movements have indeed seemed dull, I believe this indicates a battle between buyers and sellers, resulting in a reduction in high volatility in the BTC price. We certainly don't know how long this will last, but I also believe this is the perfect time to accumulate btc, as there's potential for it to rise in the future

btc won't immediately surge and reach a new ATH in a short time, as there's always some drama before the rally, which ultimately leads to a new ATH. While investing in BTC always presents temptations, such as the occasional negative news, btc ultimately fails to disappoint those who hold it for the long term

There isn't much time left, for anyone who wants to accumulate Bitcoin, I don't even know if we will go under 60k anymore but today is the FOMC meeting right? Maybe it's the decision day.

Bitcoin has proven to be very strong, months ago if anyone told me that Bitcoin will be at 60k in August of 2026 I would used them to laugh out loud, because it was not possible.

Why? That's because I expected Bitcoin to go below 60k, I was expecting nothing more than 47k bitcoin as the bottom but I am surprised that it's holding pretty strong till date, that's very impressive.

My Question to the veterans here:
Do you think this sideways action is shaking out impatient and overleveraged traders before a possible bullish breakout?
Yes, as usual that's what the bear market is all about. Shaking the weaklings and weak hands. Just be patient enough when you see that the drop is taking its moment as of now. It will come to an end but we don't know when, maybe at the end of the year. This is a typical cycle that we are having so no need to panic.

They don't realize that the more they leverage, the more that they're putting so much risk into themselves. Why not just hold, sit and wait until this bear is done?

Think about what it survived this year:

  • Escalations around the Strait of Hormuz which caused moves in oil prices that could have economic chain effects.
  • The recent Coldcard hardware wallet security exploits, the trust on Bitcoin security, and the FUD around it.
  • The huge initial ETF outflows.
  • The US job reports, interest rate, and important unfavorable announcements.
  • Michael Sailor breaking his no-sell promise, using Bitcoin as a source of liquidity, casting doubts on how long institutions can hold.

There is no level of threat that could happen within the economical challenges that could pose a threat to bitcoin network, instead, all this could only mean a little time effect on bitcoin network as the tend to react on a short time, but bitcoin network is never affected by any challenges through the overall economical and financial crisis, probably this was why bitcoin remain a decentralized currency and was not influenced by any of these in order to maintain its value.

Definitely is the answer to your question. The impatient and overleveraging traders will probably miss the bull run. I have been warning them on the trading discussion board so they will not miss the bull run that will come. Nobody know when the bull run will begin but a good investor know that they can continue to gradually buying bitcoin.

I thought that with the global financial crisis, Bitcoin's price would have dropped to below $50k. The crisis in the Middle East, high price of crude, inflation, tariffs, and so on have made the global economy challenging. There are predictions that as Bitcoin matures, its volatility will reduce. This might be the case because Bitcoin's price is not as unstable as it used to be. Traders would have to adjust to the current realities.

Anyone who thinks that Bitcoin is boring should consider investing in other sectors. Haters cannot stop me from DCA regardless of their criticism.

Anyone that thinks that the price action of Bitcoin is boring and expect the price to just pump according to their desire, then the person can just sell if they are tired of holding, there are many other investors who are ready to buy the shake out. Bitcoin price action doesn't maintain an uptrend in a straight line, there is always ups and downs commonly referred to as higher highs and lower highs (up trend, pull back and continuation) by some traders and analyst.

The correctional movement of Bitcoin is not boring because that also what makes the price come out more strong when the spike starts  to occur. The more boring, the more time you have to accumulate more before it starts its bull run.

I share that view as well. Right now, we’re seeing a downward trend in bitcoin’s price, and I’m actually very happy about it because as long as this continues, I can accumulate more bitcoin for less money. I know that when the bull market begins, we’ll see completely different numbers. And it’s precisely at that moment, when many people will only start thinking and talking about accumulating bitcoin, that everyone who has been accumulating it during the downturn will be in a position to make significant profits.

My Question to the veterans here:
Do you think this sideways action is shaking out impatient and overleveraged traders before a possible bullish breakout?
Definitely is the answer to your question. The impatient and overleveraging traders will probably miss the bull run. I have been warning them on the trading discussion board so they will not miss the bull run that will come. Nobody know when the bull run will begin but a good investor know that they can continue to gradually buying bitcoin.
While ordinary traders get impatient and leave the market, experienced and smart investors use this time as the best opportunity to accumulate wealth at DCA or regular intervals.

Those like you who are making others aware on forums or trading boards are highlighting the importance of proper discipline and a long-term perspective. In the case of bitcoin or any other powerful asset, regular and slow savings ensure peace of mind and desired results in the long run, rather than taking big risks in a hurry due to timing.

When you look at everything Bitcoin has had to deal with over the past months, the fact that it’s still sitting around $64K is impressive.
I believe the current price of the Bitcoin market is impressive if we judge by the level of selloff pressure that always happens during correction market through retail investors and some ETF platforms. However, things may change due to the decrease in today's US CPI.
Anyone who thinks that the moment they ought to accumulate BTC to be a boring season technically dont know what s/he is doing.

If it were in the early cycles, especially 2018 and 2022, these could have caused Bitcoin to fall 20% in a short time. But this time, it barely moved. It has continued to defend the $60,000 area despite the temporary year-low. That is resilience.
Yes, but this is happening due to the mainstream adoption of BTC, and it's core principle, which currently gives holders and institutions FOMO.

My Question to the veterans here:
Do you think this sideways action is shaking out impatient and overleveraged traders before a possible bullish breakout?
Aside from the chance to accumulate the dip, shaking out the weak hands is one of the things this current market always presented.

My Question to the veterans here:

I believe people aren't impatient with the sideways movement; that's not something to fear. The biggest danger lies in the current price. $64,000 is in a dangerous zone; if it falls 20%, for example, it could take us back to dark times of the past like $32,000, $20,000, or $10,000, and that's why people are choosing to wait at least, I see people I know acting that way.

Waiting for it to stay above $73,000 would provide more security to buy than risking buying at $64,000 and then seeing the price drop to $32,000. I know some people who have been holding for many years won't mind buying at $64,000 and then at the lowest it falls. But in the case of people who are looking to make 2x or 3x profits in less than 4 years, so they can spend everything they invested with the profit. they will be very carefully assessing the risk at that moment.
