So I’m curious, is this simply normal human competition or does it become unfairly holding others back?
You don't tell a business secret, the person you're telling will take your own abilities, add to his/her own, before you know it, you are going out of business. I don't blame those who refuse to disclose what they make from the business and hesitate to bring others into the same opportunity. Sometimes, it is not being selfish or wicked, you have to be smart in multiple ways to run a successful business, competition is real, and it is a cause for so many fallen businesses.

Lately I’ve been thinking about something I find interesting about competition. Why do some people become very supportive of an opportunity when they are the ones benefiting from it but suddenly become negative about it when other people discover the same opportunity?
As for this, it is possible that something might be productive, and along the line, it becomes risky. Because of the risk involved and the fact that it is not worth investing money in, this is something one must not encourage a newcomer to have an interest in. This is not just about greed or trying to protect personal interests. But in cases like this, there are genuine reasons why one might not give support to another, and there might also be someone protecting their interests. However, I won't just make conclusions that it happens solely to protect one's interests and opportunities.

There are people that doesn't like competition at all and sometimes it is not because of competition that they don't want to open up to other people maybe they have other m reasons which could be saving their heads if anything goes wrong when the introduce other people to the investment. Hope you're know that there are some Bitcoin investors that don't like to introduce anyone to Bitcoin, there intentions may not be bad but simply because they do not want any blame game, people can be funny, you might educate them on the process and all they need to know and after, they might still blame you for the price fall which is normal, but I'm not saying there aren't those that don't want others to benefit from what they have profited from.

I think it is a normal human competition that it also holds others back too. This is prevalent in business circle because the business environment don't want disorganized system that will give a few advantage over others so they arrange themselves in unions with rules and regulations for incoming members, so that before they come in they have to align to the norms existing already. Human nature is akin to competition and competitive nature of human improves the economy. So it is not an end in itself but it is part of human life. Every human being has that tendency to protect what they have whether as an individual or group.

Most people think that they will be at disadvantage when they share or open up the opportunity that they have to other people. This might be connected to what you called as normal human competition. These people always want to be at the top or have the best. But I believe it will always depend on the person's perspective or belief. Some people find it fulfilling to help other people have the same beneficial opportunity that they have even though there might be a potential competition. So yes competition in different aspect of human's life is normal but we have the choice whether it will be a healthy or toxic competition.

There are also cases that you will show someone the way, but the person will try the thing and he will not make money from it. At times luck is part of what that helped and not just only the person's intelligence. I am not implying that intelligence is not important. About the one that you asked, many people do no like competitions. It is in the nature of men, but no option as competition follows. They like to do what that will profit them more. More competition can mean less profit for them. Some times more competition may likely not be or mean less profit for them, profits making opportunities can be an open place where you only get your profit based on how much you can work. In this kind of scenario, no one gets to interfer with your profit, you earn just as you work yet people may still not want you to benefit from such opportunity which they are benefitting from. This could only be an act of greed, selfishness, enviness and jealousy. If people that are even doing more better than you can get jealous of you based on one thing or the other, it only shows that they don't want anything good happening to you and they can never disclose any opportunities to you even if it means that you getting in will not negatively affect their own profit level.

Not everyone like telling other people the secret of the success of their business because they feel you will become successful like them, and also become a competitor in that same business they are doing. But in business, more especially where there is population, only one person cannot satisfy a place of optimum population, so many people doing thesame type of business in such environment won't be a barrier to any of the business men. While engaging in any business, it is necessary to engage in a business that people around your environment need, and not what you want. When you sell what people around you need, and their is high demand of that product people will always petronize your business. Sometimes, some persons look at the type of business that other people are doing, and they want to engage in such business too, such thing is wrong especially when you are not in thesame environment, because it could be the demand of that very product is high in his own environment which might be different in your own environment. More also, you should consider if you have the kind strength the person is using to run such business, and if don't have such strength you don't go into such business because you might not cope with it.

Only men, haha? Rather than this, it would fit more in this situation if we say it's human nature, not only men. Aside from this, I am the kind of person who loves sharing valuable knowledge and information with my friends and loved ones. One day, a friend of mine advised me that I should not give away or give up every important piece of information or knowledge with other. Because in some cases, they take advantage of you, and in return you get nothing from them. I have literally faced such a situation in my life, where another friend of mine asked to me hlep him in giving him a skill of marketing, i helped him, but when I asked him about his skill and requested that he share it with me, he literally denied me on instant time. This teaches me a lesson that always sharing knowledge with every person is not good. What do you say? Is sharing information with other is a good habit or not?

Competition isn't a general characteristics which is peculiar to humans, I just think that some folks just have the natural tendency of not wanting others to be ahead of them... To this Individuals, life is simply just a competition, and so whenever they discover something that makes them to be more advantaged than others, they would rather keep that secret hidden from the world... Even in the world today, majority of individuals find it very difficult to celebrate the success of other people, without first comparing themselves to that celebrant... In such cases, the problem is actually the mindset of those individual... Some folks mindset can just be very retarded at times...I believe that there is actually a huge difference between protecting your own wealth and having the mentality that nobody else should be at the same level as you.. Not sharing what you know with other just because you don't want them to be on the same level with you is pure wickedness... This world is too big for everyone to succeed, so there is no need of always being the one at the fore front...

Business secrets should be kept confidential since they could determine the performance of the company. I don't think it is wrong to keep some work or opportunity secret to reduce competition. We live in a capitalist society where everyone wants to have a competitive advantage. But there should be a balance in everything you do. If you have a job or contract opportunity that is open to everyone, hoarding such information is wrong. I have introduced people to businesses or some income-generating enterprise, but my winning strategy is confidential.

Lately I’ve been thinking about something I find interesting about competition. Why do some people become very supportive of an opportunity when they are the ones benefiting from it but suddenly become negative about it when other people discover the same opportunity?
For example someone discovers a business opportunity or another legitimate way to earn, they participate, benefit from it and continue doing it but when another person now ask about it or wants to join, the attitude suddenly change. I understand that competition can reduce someone’s individual advantage. If more people enter, opportunities can become competitive and the reward eventually reduces. So from a personal perspective keeping an opportunity to yourself can make sense is discouraging others really the same thing as protecting your own interest?
There is a difference between saying do your research before joining and deliberately making an opportunity sound useless simply because you do not want more proper competing with you. People sometimes want others to succeed but only up to the point where that success does not compete with their own.
So I’m curious, is this simply normal human competition or does it become unfairly holding others back?
This mentality is very common with many people and it's normal, we are humans but not much different from animals, we have the same instincts after all and we reproduce the same way, the difference is that we are smarter than them. But do you want my honest opinion about it? I help others just to artificially create a competition so it will motivate me to further develop myself or the thing that I do, so I'll always be one step away above them and this drive will allow me to be better than them. That's how my mind works. I'm not afraid of competition because I don't want to be bad and without competition, I want to be the best and clearly visible among other competitive persons or businesses. I do not think that is true. I do not think that ANY person likes competition. They may say that they do; I am sure there are many "Kobe Bryant / Michael Jordan" instincts where people think they want to beat the others and want harder competition so that they could be better than the best. But the reality is, you want people who are 99% close to you, not 100%. Meaning that, what you desire is to work so hard and be so good that you are at the top, and people who you beat are not 5 year old children, but people who are 99% close to you; they are just missing that 1%. You do not want to lose, you do not want to be bad, you do not want to be last place. If in a scenario where you help create the competition and that results in you losing, that is never good for you and you never like it. No matter how much mentality you have going on about trying to be best, if you are not the best, you are going to be upset about it. Which is why there is absolutely no reason why people should believe that you want better competition. You want the competition to be better than themselves, but worse than you; you want them to force you and make it hard, but still end up losing. Think of a football game: you want to win by a goal at stoppage time in the 98th minute, not win by 5 or lose.

If there is no security issue and it does not have any negative impact on my income or source of income, I will definitely inform you. However, in this case, it is necessary to have the skill of selecting grateful people. If you want your own well-being, then never create competition with ungrateful people in the source of income. Even if someone competes and does not harm you, do not make ungrateful people your competitors. I always try to benefit myself and benefit others as much as I can. But I will protect my own interests first, and then try to benefit others. I will never drag anyone where there is a possibility of harming me. I think this is natural human competition.

When there is a gold mine that will make you profit in the long run then as much as possible we will hide it from the public and try to enjoy it ourselves and this will also happen for even the smallest thing. We will be just like animals that try to be defensive when their territory is disturbed and this always happens when in business or whatever is profitable because we will be defensive with it. This is normal for now and I think even though the competition will always be there but when we feel that minimize the competition then as much as possible we will not share this with anyone who can make the competition happen. Although this does not all have to happen because there is always a situation where we will also share with others (of course for personal gain) but will be more we try to maintain and try to limit the benefits that we always get and expect others not to follow. This may seem selfish to some views but it is becoming common for now.

What works for Mr X may not work for Mr Z what that means is that, whenever you see someone doing well in a business ypu should be aware that there must be an unseen sacrifice that make the business to work, and again not everyone can succeed in same business and if you show them the business and it failed in they hand, they may tend to blame you.
But again mentoring is very important because having q business without someone that learn and can take over from you then such business is just one man business, but every professional will definitely have someone they have thought.

There are many reasons for this, including feelings of competition and jealousy. But actually, if people showed others the path they benefited from, then the other person would spend less time searching for the right path and could, of course, show others as well. But kindness is kindness, so it's good to do it. And these good deeds may come back to you in a different way one day, even if you don't expect anything in return.

A lot of times people are protective of the informations they come across that's of benefit to them because if others find out what they do they might end up ruining their source of income, this is the reason why people gatekeep a lot of times. In the aspect of competition it is said that we compete with others we seek validation or try to prove we are better but the truth is that competition is constant among humans.
People don't want others to get the same opportunities they have because they are scared that others might do better than them, that's actually a wrong mentality to have because it is better to share an information that can be life changing to others instead of being in a position where you have to give them money all the time or always want to be richer.
If you have a cycle of friends and you have an opportunity don't keep it to yourself or try to discourage them from doing the same thing you benefited from, allow others to grow just as you.

It seems you already answered your own question, and it’s true. When I came home from abroad, I thought about starting a pharmacy business. Then I tried to get advice from one of my relatives who has been doing pharmacy business for a long time. Then he discouraged me, telling me there are no profits and medicine expires, which will give you more losses, but he hasn’t been leaving that business. It’s kind of jealousy; he doesn't like one of his relatives to become his competitor. Almost five years later, he is still doing that business after I asked him for advice. Remember your nearest people want you to live a good life, but they never want you to live a life better than them. It’s human character; a few might be exceptional, but exceptional won’t be an example.

Bro, not just men, but it is also in the nature of women as well. Give women equal rights, otherwise they will say you are being misogynist haha. There can be a lot of possibilities to this. If one expert is not teaching me how to be like him, then he probably doesn't want me to cross him, or he probably sees more potential in me and thinks I can do better in another field which he also has knowledge of. That's why he advises us to go in that. But I have seen people using their intelligence to judge the intelligence of others. I mean, we can't judge a book by its cover. We can't suggest someone to do this and that because I think we can't really know how good they can be. If I am teaching someone how to learn and they turn out to be bad, then that's their problem. I warned them and they still proceeded, but if they turn out to be better than me, that's great. But it is true, bro, that some people just don't like others to be in the same spot as they are. They are mean.

You have answered your own question, so what are you really expecting as an answer? The world and the media tell us that financial success is everything, the key to happiness, unlocking the freedom to do whatever you want - yet we're all competing against every other person in the world for a limited amount of resources. These millionaires and billionaires did not get where they are by giving everyone they meet their secret routes to success. As an outside observer you can sometimes piece together the general gist of what has made someone so much profit, but there is also a lot of refinement that these individuals put in. Why do you think that everyone is owed the recipe to success, when some of these people put their own money, blood, sweat and tears to make it. You're assuming such people clicked their fingers and found success overnight, but it often takes many years of hard work for everything to fall in to place, who are you to judge them for that.

Humans think that if others have the same opportunities as them they are going to be on the same level but I don't belong to that school of thought, such a thought process makes you envious and jealous. There's no point if you have all the benefits from something while others are struggling just because you want others to always see you as the one that's more hardworking than every other person. If others are starting to do the same thing that made you elevate in life then it's important for you to encourage them, there's no benefits that comes with being greedy.
