Lol, what if that lady actually saw him importing his seeds and captured the seed and stole the money ?
Since he had an expensive car, he probably would have lots of bitcoins in his wallet.
Stupid mistakes one would want to avoid. What would you do if you were in this situation ?

Maybe this has something to do with the GenZ around you? Because almost all the Genz in my family are into crypto, even the girls amongst them, they can atleast move Bitcoin from one wallet to another.

They are all smart when it comes to learning anything tech, and that's the courses they all choose in school, I was still lecturing one yesterday asking why all of them choose to go tech route.

He was even lecturing me about robotics innovation in the other state closer to mine, so yes there are many Genzs that actually knows what they are doing, and there are loads of other Genz that don't care.

The Genz are built differently, the Genz in your family are into crypto because you or one of person in your family is into crypto, it is easy for you to transition them to learn about crypto and are able to avoid common mistakes. Their character development on the internet will be different from that of a person that knows nothing about crypto, such people are likely to get scammed if they are not well inform.

There are some kids that learn alot from the internet. Some got the inspiration from the cartons and anime they watch and the grow up with this things that when you introduce crypto to them, they see it as motivation. Others that don't have this beginning can't relate at all.

Always on point. It was easier for me to learn crypto when my elders introduced it to me. Whereas many youngsters will find it hard to learn. It is common in families that a brother or sister has been in crypto for a very long time. Also, there is this wisdom that we, Gen Z, have when we talk about recent technology. Cryptocurrency came in the time of Gen Z, using social media to learn.

Few parents go ahead and support their children by paying for online classes for their kids to learn crypto. My friends in college have the tutorial videos. It was when I started showing great interest in anything crypto.

You were being observant of certain things that the person didn't even bother to take note of and that alone should have given you the impression that he is a beginner that's probably just excited to check his assets and not really because he wants to show off. A lot of beginners have a weird enthusiasm that makes them do things without thinking logically, but you noticed all this because of how experienced you are.

The more he begins to learn about the dangers of exposing seed phrase the more careful he would be,  this isn't about new generation, it is just an absence of knowledge. Anyone that understands the value of their seed phrase and how dangerous it can be to expose them would be more careful when they are import using a public WiFi, or doing that when there are other people around them.

Some people just naturally careless and they don't really know the implications of certain things that they do. It is a normal thing to expect such level of carelessness from these gen z, most of the things that they do is either due to ignorance or they are just trying to show off. If someone close to him probably you or any other person turned out to be as scammer he would have ended up losing his Bitcoin. It is important to always correct such people when we come across them because we might be saving them from future crisis.

The young guys who are today don't really think about any unwanted things that much.
That they don’t think about it doesn’t mean that unwanted things won’t happen to them if they are not extremely careful. The only way those unwanted things or situations they don’t think of wont happen, is for them to take the security of their assets serious. Is just like someone saying he doesn’t believe in something, but that doesn’t mean that what he said he doesn’t believe is non existence.

Quote
They don't feel the need to do anything responsibly . Since they are not usually victims of hacking or they have less experience in this matter,
Getting hacked is not a matter of age, I believe there are reasonable number young people that fall in this category that has experienced being hacked because of their carelessness. If you display your wallet seed phrase publicly, you will get hacked by experienced people who come across it. Irrespective of if you are young or not.

When creating a new crypto wallet for the first time, as a newbie, the first sets of warnings you will get is enough to keep your senses sharp, it's either you do it or you lose your money, and if you don't want to lose money don't do it.

This person failed to followed the instructions that's been given by the crypto wallet itself, instead he chose to display is balance in the public? Don't tell me that this person don't know the implications, that's not the case here.

I think in his mind, he believed he has money, he is capable and he wants people to know that, this behaviour is popular with these Genz youths today, they do this alot even in my area, you can even talk some senses to them and they will take it out of you with insults.

It is the fact that we underrate people so much and don't know that the next person sitting close to you might be more dangerous than you ever imagine that human can be. As long as you are aware that your crypto is in the device you are going out with, there is no point flaunting it or letting people get an idea that you are holding some coin. some people especially the traders are fund of trading in open space and most of them do so just to show off. it is better to be looked down on out of ignorant than to carelessness bring yourself in trouble just because you are trying to prove that you hold bitcoin.

Most of Gen Z are careless now; they get everything easily, whatever it is. This AI world is making these people's lives much easier and riskier.

And people are always judgmental, irrespective of their age group; not only Gen Z in our teenage years- we all judge our elders like they don't know anything like us, especially when it comes to technology-related things.

This is the more reason why beginners need to learn because there are characters that don't seem good that beginners exhibit, and this can expose them to loss and dangers.

Beginners shouldn't be so comfortable with what they know but should strive to learn more. When some beginners make mistakes, they use their weaknesses as a beginner to make excuses. Being a beginner doesn't mean one should take things for granted, but rather take learning seriously because beginners are so exposed to danger and are always seen as targets for scammers.

Some people knows the rules and regulations of crypto wallets but they choose to become careless around it, I don't know how to judge this matter because it's possible that this person is careless and it's also possible that they are just showing off.

He can also have some bigger funds elsewhere, maybe that wallet you thought he was flashing in the public is just a hot wallet for small money, it will be easier to not care if that's the case.

Still, this behaviour is life threatening and very stupid.
Sooner or later this person might pay a heavy prize for this behaviour.

I am a beginner and I am not this stupid, it has nothing to do with the year 2026 and not everyone that's breathing in 2026 will be smartasses, we will always have some dumb and stupid people around even if the year is 2039.

Everyone can't be smart, there are people who reads the manual and still do the stupid things, I am not surprised, one day the boy will learn a big lesson of his life and I hope he will adjust after the lesson.

The thing is many people could have escaped so many mistakes, they failed because they don't want to follow simple instructions, understanding how to operate your crypto wallet safely is one of the simplest instructions ever.

Sometimes, these youngies pull unnecessary stunt in public. There's no guarantee he had much funds in the wallet he was importing, he might only be doing that to show off, bearing in mind that people were watching. There is no guarantees the sports car was even his own. GenZs like showing off a lot and that's bad. Most of them draw unnecessary attention to themselves with such stupid practices.

If I was in the situation to see his seed phrases, I will snap it, move half of his funds right there if he has any and return it while he listens to the security practices I teach him. He wouldn't want to learn ordinarily, but if something happens to him, he would be more open to correction.

No it doesnt, that is theft. You took his coins without his permission. Sure, you "returned" half, but he has no way of knowing how far you would have gone. Nor does he know what you might do with that picture of his seed in the future. If anything it wasn't a lesson about the threats he needs to be aware of, because that's you. A helpful nudge (in a quiet voice) of "your screen is visible, close it" would have been more appropriate.

The younger generation has the edge because they adopt modern technology more easily and faster than the older generation. Does the environment affect the adaptive efficiency of children? It's understood that children absorb their surrounding environment and behave according to it. So, if they find technology around them, they easily pick it up and learn the skills according to it. With Gen Z, I agree that they have the ability to pick the points that are very useful in the crypto business. For them, it's easy to learn the framework of crypto, like how crypto works and how money is managed at a digital level, because it has grown in the internet and the AI era.

But it's the most difficult task for the older generation to learn digital systems fast. But here is the problem and that is inconsistency and misbehavior of the younger generation according to their work. Because success needs discipline and consistency, no doubt Gen Z has knowledge of new technology, but they also need to get guidance about it and after that, their hard work and consistency shape their outputs in the form of success or failure. It depends on their approach, how they treat their instruments, and how much effort they put in.

Maybe, just maybe she saw the seed, took notes of it and proceeded to import and stole his Bitcoin.

Few facts would remain:
The lady actually committed a crime by stealing,
The guy was careless on how vulnerable he made himself,

Also, we can’t assume he had a lot of Bitcoins because he drove an expensive car, it could all be really some show off. Either way, the lesson remains that, you don’t handle your seeds in public because you are in a place where everyone else looks fragile.

You are right, no actual need for bragging about our finances at all because that behavior would definitely put a target on our back without our consent. Before we act we should always try to reason things through in different directions and not just act without thinking because we might end up regretting our decision.

However they are have been several stories about people being targeted just because of their flashy and flamboyant behavior and each stories are different form so at least we could have learn from all this little things and get to know that we can be targeted. One thing that many of us takes for granted is Security consciousness and we need to take it serious.

I prefer to nudge as you said and tells him that is not the good way to do that. He can invite bad people around him and trying to threats him to moves his Bitcoin to their wallet. No need to steal his Bitcoin to teach him because he will feels bad and maybe he will take a look at you. We don't want that happens so we can choose the smooth ways. If he can't accept, we can let him continue but we don't know if something goes wrong.

Lol, what if that lady actually saw him importing his seeds and captured the seed and stole the money ?
Since he had an expensive car, he probably would have lots of bitcoins in his wallet.
Stupid mistakes one would want to avoid. What would you do if you were in this situation ?

That's awesome. If you really thought it that way it means you are a good person and genuinely wants him to keep his coins safe.
If it were anyone else they would have probably thought of stealing it all away and enjoy the theft.
We didn't hear anything about the theft so may be he got lucky and nothing really happened after that incident.
