You are very right on almost everything you just said above, but however, I won't advise anybody not to invest in real estate, simply because they want to invest in Bitcoin, because they can possibly just invest in both at once and for your kids. I thought the discussion was about not buying houses for your kids, but from what I've read, it's already sounding like a discussion to oneself. Well, the truth is, more than 70-80% of Nigerian parents can't even build houses for their kids. What are the number of people that actually own a house to their name?. I don't want to believe that the discussion is about rich parents only who can afford to get things like this done without any set back, so from a general pov, I strongly believe that there's nothing bad in building a house for oneself, or even for your kids especially for those who can afford to. Of course, the idea of housing comes with a cost, but it's still a necessity that we all need.

However, I don't think it's all that bad for them to purchase homes while still holding bitcoin because, if you want to classify assets, houses should be included because that's one way. You're right Bitcoin is one of the greatest investment their is if not the greatest because of it's potential, and in the long run it will be more valuable than owning a house if all things are to go well. The value of a house depreciates with time and in the long run Bitcoin will be more valuable but we still need to note that no investment is risk free even though long term holding can give us more value but it's still not guaranteed because of it volatility and there are other risks associated with keeping Bitcoin like the safety and security of your wallet which must be taught to your children just as you've mentioned.
