Coins were stored in my freewallet.org wallet. XMR (Monero) coins in the wallet. After using it for two months, I decided to withdraw all my coins, but I was prevented from doing so; I was told I needed to verify my identity. I submitted all the required documents—my passport, a selfie holding the open wallet and a piece of paper with my details, a screenshot from the wallet used to send the coins to the Freewallet account, and a bank statement—but instead of unblocking withdrawals, they completely cut off my access to the wallet. The wallet page now displays a message stating that they do not operate in my region. Customer support responds only with automated replies. They have blocked $10,000 USD.

The App Store (for iOS) and Google Play (for Android) have removed the freewallet.org apps due to thousands of complaints from users regarding fraud.
Hundreds or even thousands of customer reviews from around the world on the freewallet.org website.
The freewallet.org Twitter page is full of accusations of fraud against the freewallet.org wallet.

This is one of the custodial wallets that we have posted about before that people should stay away from. I have been seen such posts since when I registered my account on this forum.

It is a custodial wallet. Not your keys not your coins.

Elon Musk even talked bad about the wallet.

Use a noncustodial wallet instead. Open source noncustodial wallets that are reputed.

As mentioned above, there isn't much you can do to access the funds given that it's a custodial service. You just need to hope they respond to your messages but I would personally not count on it, not after reading Trustpilot reviews, and some here on bitcointalk...

Are you from the EEA by any chance?

From February 2026: https://web.archive.org/web/20260219104607/https://freewallet.org/limitations
Now: https://freewallet.org/limitations

Quote
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Freewallet does not solicit, market, advertise or otherwise actively promote its Services to citizens or residents of the European Economic Area. Any access to or use of the Services by such persons is undertaken solely on their own initiative and at their own risk, on a reverse solicitation basis, and shall not be construed as an offer by Freewallet to provide its Services within the European Economic Area. If a citizen or resident of the European Economic Area presents Freewallet with any document, identification or other information confirming such citizenship or residency, Freewallet reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate that User’s access to the Services and close the User’s Freewallet Account, without prior notice and without liability to Freewallet.

I couldn't find any other snapshots, but it's possible that the EEA has only been added on June 30th of 2026 (when the page was last updated).

I wouldn't be surprised if they are using this new policy to selectively scam some customers who had accounts prior to the policy change.

I am really sorry for OP .
They have had a tons of problems in the past and have been openly criticized by Elon Musk on X with offensive comments.
Defintely not the best site to use as a wallet... anyway at this point, I would try first to reach a solution due to this change in EEA (some crypto services have sent email asking users to "withdraw") funds.

It's unbelievable that these scammers are still in business despite the thousands of people they've taken money from. It is also incredible that with all the other wallets out there, someone would choose a random online wallet without even investigating their reputation. People clearly have money to throw around, OP is a prime example of that.
