I can not use a gambling site that does not have a license and neither can I recommend such a gambling site.

It is easy for scammers to try to scam people using a gambling site that is not having license. A good gambling site should get a license and not think about how expensive it is. Also they should market the gambling site.

All casinos need licenses because it adds legitimacy to their business. Many players including myself will be skeptical of any platform without a license because I will see them a scam waiting to happen. If not for any other thing, getting a license makes a casino look serious and professional.  Requesting for KYC or not does not replace this important aspect of the casino business since hat is not needed for the licensing.

Almost all reputable casinos right now have gambling licenses. And most gamblers look for it as some sort of "protection" as we are playing on a casino that has legal authority to operate. So personally, it's very important to have license, and it's like a badge that says a casino is trustworthy.

No but the funny part of it is that if your company isn't licensed, that means you'll be assumed to be operating illegal because authorities expects you should pass through them before you can operate in their jurisdiction. If you get caught defiled the policy you'll get sanctioned with penalties involved.
And perhaps players prefers to use licensed platforms to gamble because they also want situations where the platform tends to cheats the players they can also have an authority to report to.
Kyc is strictly for license platforms although some unlicensed sites does requires minimum of kyc.

no. but you will be operating illegally based on so many jurisdiction laws.
and forget about operating globally world wide, that's not possible. try operating in the US or UK without a license and see how fast they will come after you if you get noticed.

alternatively, you could just get an offshore license so you can operate "legally" (not world wide tho, you will have restricted geos) and simply not ask players for KYC/AML, or ask for it only when it's unavoidable.

Of course bro, you must require an offshore license like the Anjouan or Curacao license in order to operate, mostly as you cited you intend to make it global.
There's definitely a huge difference between operating a licenced no KYC crypto casino and operating an unlicensed casino with no KYC requirements still. The government or state laws in which you operate from could shut your business down, fine you or even subject you the owner to sentence, for running an illegal business.

Firstly, to operate legally worldwide is literally impossible, even with all the license in the world.

You already know that gambling itself is prohibited in a lot of countries, the more countries you're looking to operate in, the more number of licenses you'd need. Running a KYC-free casino, doesn't mean you get operate to illegally, and your casino would not last a week before being taken down, that's if you manage to get any real player that would be willing to play on an unlicensed casino, when it is tough enough to find ethical and honest ones amongst those are licensed.

You just said it all,  if him and his team is working on a new casino as he claims they should make sure to get it licensed,  otherwise they won't generate much traffic.  Because nobody in his or her right senses would want to gamble or recommend anyone to gamble on a casino that is not licensed.

If you can remember the case of betmoco,  when they first came to the forum they were not licensed,  the casino later got licensed just to convince people that they can be trustworthy and transparent while they were not.  I have actually learned a lot from that incident,  never to gamble on a casino or gambling platform that is not licensed.

For a new casino which is just starting, no background reputation or something that can vouch for its license is indeed necessary; if not, the majority will prefer to avoid your casino just for security reasons, and if you are to acquire a license, is there even any license authority out there whose requirements don’t include asking customers for KYC? I have no experience with managing a casino with or without a licence but in my little interaction with casinos, some that don't have a licence do not require KYC at all cause they are not under regulations to do so. There are some that are as KYC free as possible even though they have a licence, but they cannot add it into their terms that they will never require it, they always leave a clause in that acts as protections for themselves.

For the users of your casino, the licence acts as 'protection' for them even though it's little security, many casinos have turned fraudulent even with a legitimate licence.Do you aim to be a no KYC casino and need the licence as a means to that end?

Even casinos that originally had licenses were also problematic.

If you want to operate worldwide being accepted by every jurisdictions, it's not possible to refuse adopting KYC, because in order for your business to be accepted in most countries, KYC is a must. Still, you can operate without legalizing your business and without following any regulations imposed by the countries. However, it means it will be like a pirate sailing through the seas while being hunted down by the british and spanish navy (and your customers will be your pirate sailors).

You do not need a license because if you get one then you will be required to follow the laws of the licence that you got and that might definitely include KYC to be done on your casino. I find it pretty funny that instead of asking an expert, you're asking something like this on a forum --- and a Bitcoin forum at that, lol.

But I'm simply responding based on my experience. I personally prefer licensed casinos. I find licensed casinos more reliable than unlicensed ones. While there's no guarantee a licensed casino won't be a scam, it's still better than an unlicensed one.

Moreover, the current trend is that the majority of casinos are licensed. This can give the platform you want to build more credibility. But I'm speaking from the perspective of a casual user, not an expert --- if you want more, you can speak with an expert in this field.
