Honestly, their is more confidence in the present investors than those of the early investors. Initially, when Bitcoin was in it's young age, only few persons invested in bitcoin, and among the few that invested in bitcoin, not all of those few investors believed in Bitcoin which some of them to sell their bitcoin asset very early.

In the early days Bitcoin was perceived just like an experiment that they didn't know if it would succeed or not, which is why they never gave it their all or full attention. I don't consider him as one of this people who sold their coins in panic. He wanted to prove to many that bitcoin could be used as real money to buy things directly. He was confident that Bitcoin was going somewhere in the future and wanted many to know that it had many other uses.

In recent times also, technology advancements has taken all over the world and majority of people whether influential or not have access to mobile phones or other technological tools, hence makes it easy for many to have knowledge on anything they wished.

Bitcoin has now ahead of physical investment like housing and real.estate and others, becomes the most invested investment in the entire worldwide, making multiple investors wealthy and building a great portfolio for itself.

So it is understandable that he did not panic and sell. Therefore, we cannot say that all those who sold at that time did not have the same confidence as here.

Personally I would say that spending your Bitcoin or selling it at that early stage doesn’t mean that those user lack confidence, the value abd context of it was really difficult compare to now. Then users were still researching and trying to discover what Bitcoin can become. The transaction of laszlo’s pizza was a good sign that Bitcoin could be a good value of money. We shouldn’t measure their decision base on today but rather base on their time as of then.
