You're right about that, and surely those early adopters didn't know that bitcoin was going to do well in the future not to talk of getting to this above stated amount. Yes the example you gave here is very clear which i believe that if Laszlo knew that bitcoin will get to this level in years to come, I'm sure he wouldn't have done that in the first place. I don't believe that people like Laszlo sold their bitcoins because they didn't believe it will stay till this day. As a matter of fact, he is a real bitcoiner because that singular act of using bitcoin to pay for pizza confirmed to people that bitcoin can be used to pay for the things we buy. Moreover, just because Laszlo used 10000 BTC to buy pizza doesn't mean that was the last bitcoin he had in his wallet. Some early adoptors where practicing bitcoin as money they used for transactions because most of them didn't even know that it has a potential growth and can be used as a store of value.
