Nuclear weapons are not away to create peace. North Korea is difficult to attack not simply because of their nuclear weapons but also have very strong military forces, alliances, geography and because of enormous cost of war. If a country does not have nuclear weapons, that does not mean they can be attacked easily. The Venezuelan leader was not abducted because of the lack of nuclear power , any leader can be abducted or removed. There are multiple factors that are involved in international politics including military capability, diplomatic relationships, economic pressure and also international laws. Nuclear weapons sometimes create such a situation where a simple mistake can cause accident during an authorised launch that can cause catastrophic consequences
Mate, nuclear weapons play a very big factor, and most especially if a country has intercontinental ballistic missiles. Do you think North Korea was testing those missles just for jokes? They are well prepared for a scenario where the US tries to attack them. I don't think Kim would hesitate to retaliate, and Trump knows that.

Russia has been at war with Ukraine for years now. Why do you think the US (the self-appointed disciplinarian of the world) is not directly involved in the bombing of Russia but would rather just send weapons and aid to their proxies to do the fighting? Same thing with China. The US knows that if they start a war with them, then things can get so bad.

Fair enough, more nukes out there means a less safe world. And owning them isn't really the best solution either.

But given where the world is at right now, it's probably the realistic option. Looking at the bright side, if most countries had them as strategic deterrence. Invasions and bullying would probably go down a lot, imo.

I believe if Iran or Venezuela had nuclear weapons like North Korea, there wouldn't be any war and we wouldn't have to deal with crises like the ones we're seeing now.

Exactly, the bullying is happening because some countries feel more empowered and entitled than others. The United States just goes in a spree of bombing random ships from Venezuela at any time they want, very well knowing that Venezuela can't retaliate.

I am not saying the world would be 100% peaceful, but the unnecessary wars would be very much reduced compared to what is happening right now.

Yeah, war is part of it and its been tied to the development of this world for thousands of year. So it is kinda hard to hope for a world that's completely war free.

But look at countries with strong military capabilities, especially the ones with nukes. They pretty much never get attacked, invaded, enslaved or stripped of their resources.

Like I said, having nukes is not the best solution, but it fits the current state of the world. Its genuinely an effective deterrence strategy and solid way to protect national sovereignty.

What you say won't promote peace, it would only incentivize other countries to get their own nukes. Countries that don't originally have nuclear weapons will start looking for ways to get theirs, while countries that already have will find ways to get more. The whole world knows what happened in Japan, yet they kept developing nukes. Why didn't that teach them a lesson? The world experienced the first and Second World Wars, yet they still don't care, they still go to war with each other and do things that can trigger another war. If two countries attack each other and hypothetically, it stops there, the world won't learn, years later, they would still attack each other again.

Its literally a foolish approach, when world is clean by bombs how is it possible that the next generation will being peace on the earth. Yes it is fact that now every equipped country is always try to get control over the weak country. There is always cloud of threat or insecurities hanging over those who are failed to built their influence over the world, or many countries are encountering each others
that's disturbed the world peace. But it doesn't mean that we encourage for the world war just to get new generations, that work for .

The only way to get peace is dialogue, interaction, making strong connections, or spreading positivity through education. Every country should respect the boundaries of other countries, or don't think inferior to others. Here i am surprised, by the idea that nuclear war can bring peace. War never be solution of any problems but it creates many other problems.

The idea of a limited nuclear war is pure fantasy. The moment the first nuke is launched, retaliations kick in and things spiral out of control fast, there wouldn't even be a civilization left to learn any lesson. Hiroshima and Nagasaki already showed the world enough. Trying to justify millions of deaths and radioactive fallout as some kind of 'lesson for peace' is completely unrealistic and romanticized nonsense.

Here is a much bigger problem.

The United States and her allies, well knowing that they have nukes, keep bullying those countries that don't have the nukes, and they don't just stop there. They have been killing hundreds of thousands of civilians trying to "look for weapons of mass destruction".

Such is called threat and/or duress and/or coercion and/or intimidation and/or interference. And all you have to do is look it up in 'Cornell Law University' to see that it is totally illegal.

JUST IN: Tucker Carlson says US President Donald Trump may be days away from launching a nuclear strike on Iran under pressure from Israeli PM Netanyahu.

2 sides will use limited nuclear weapons but the outcome will be so devastated and even for envoirement that world will understood they can't continue anymore.

But to make others to understood 2 countries or sides will use nukes and that will bring the peace it will shock the world will have a lot casualties
The good thing is that will be good example the world learn to appreciate peace.
Wich one it will be nobody knows for real.

I still don't see how the world will embrace peace if they start sending nukes on each other, my question is who is going to be alive if the whole World starts bombing each other? We can only appreciate peace if they ut down as world leaders to talk about meaningful things not start planning on which country to bomb or cause problems, the people who have no idea on what they have discussed will be the ones to suffer if any of all you said happens. These whole war things is like a music in our ears until it happens but my annoyance is that the big guys who runs these whole thing knows how and what to say to end all these conflicts.

I stopped reading after I saw ''Tucker Carlson says''. He is is one of last persons who I would trust. He used to be one if biggest Trump's ass lickers, but now he feels salty on him.
Trump is mad, but not enough to use nukes. Don't see any strong reasons why he can decide to do it now.

Trumpolini may more than a bit insane but even he is not crazy enough to use nukes in a first strike against Iran.
The situation he created inflamed there does not even come close to a reason for that. Him calling for a nuclear strike against Iran would open the door for Russia who has far more reason to even consider it to do the same against Ukraine.
