If you are holding Bitcoin for long-term investment, you must first decide on your own courage. Next, you need to choose a secure wallet that is less likely to be hacked, especially I think software wallets and hardware wallets are the most effective. After setting up the wallets, its private keys should be stored in a safe place and later on, you should invest and keep the Bitcoins in this wallet. And if you invest, you must do it for the long term so that you have a plan to earn a big profit from it in the future. Moreover, since there is instability in the market, depositing Bitcoin using the DCA strategy from the beginning of the investment will greatly reduce the risk. In terms of investment, you need to analyze the market well and it is best to start investing after paying attention to everything and learning later. Investing in Bitcoin should never be done for a short time, rather long-term investment and maximum security for money are important.

How to properly store Bitcoin for a long term investment. To properly store Bitcoin for a long-term investment, use a non-custodial hardware wallet (cold storage) purchased directly from an official manufacturer. Never leave long-term holdings on a crypto exchange, and always keep your offline recovery seed phrase physically hidden on paper or metal example you can only stop investing when you invest in long time investment in bitcoin bitcoin is a leget investment when you can invest and earn huge amount of money bitcoin is real but don't try and use emotional in it bitcoin is a digital asset or Buy a hardware device: Order a cold storage device such as a hardware wallet) strictly from the maker's official website, never second-hand.Initialize the device: Set up the hardware wallet offline to generate your unique word or 24 word recovery seed phrase.Record the seed phrase Write down these words on paper or stamp them onto a metal backup plate.Secure the physical backup Keep your written recovery words locked away safely, away from fire hazards, water damage, or prying eyes.Never digitize the words: Do not take photos, type them into a phone, or store the seed phrase in any cloud storage or notes app Transfer a test amount Send a tiny amount of Bitcoin first from your exchange to your new hardware wallet address to confirm it arrives safely before moving the full balance.

It can be easy to keep your Bitcoin safe for many years if you never connect your wallet to the internet and store your seed phrase and passphrase in a safe place away from the internet. If you can take these steps correctly, at least you will be able to maintain a safe distance from hackers or scammers. In this case, you must choose a reputable wallet.
That's definitely true, everyone's Bitcoin wallet will be safe if they store the seed phrase and passphrase in a location away from the internet but regardless of online or offline wallet, you can never be 100% safe when it comes to holding cryptocurrency. We all know why it is important to store your Bitcoin securely, and the recent cold card scam has proven that even a little careless can lead to a Bitcoin wallet being hacked, as the cold card hack shocked the cryptocurrency community.

Also, after the leak of 13,689 Trezor users’ data, many are concerned about how to keep this currency safe. The bottom line is that many experienced investors advise beginners to use non-custodial wallets, but even then we must always stay updated, aware of scam hacks and malware risks.  I think new Nigerian investors will be able to learn more details on how to keep their Bitcoin holdings safe by accessing this link.

Having s hardware wallet is a very important step to secure your Bitcoin asset but that doesn't solve everything. The most important part of having a hardware wallet is making sure that the seed phrase is protected from getting exposed to a third party and that's because, anyone who succeeds to access it can move every asset in it at their will.

Sometimes, I think we put more attention in the cold storage devices and forget about the backup and how it's properly protected. Securing the whole set up is even more important than owning the device especially for long-term holders.

There are many ways to store your Bitcoin, and we need to figure out how to do it because most people find it difficult. If you don't store your Bitcoin properly, the outcome is not good. For those who intend to hold for a long time, you simply need to know that you are supposed to store everything inside a wallet because that is the only way things can be safe, because holding is also risky, especially when you are putting them in a centralized exchange. Since many people don't know what to prioritize when it comes to holding, we have no option but to take the necessary action. It is just better for us to complete our homework before making a purchase.

There are many ways, some people do like the easy ones, and when they choose to use cold storage, they do not go full privacy. Hackers and scammers are getting smart with their hacks and scams, I don't blame those who went through the coldcard incident, only their best wasn't enough to save them.

In all, self-custody is the best, there is no two ways about it, and for no reason are centralized exchanges an option.

If person get Bitcoin and but him no get access to am again, na Bitcoin him get? Na same thing as: I get am before; no be property because e dey very obvious say who no get access to him crypto wallet (Bitcoin) no go fit recover the coin way dey inside until him recover am back, so that one na property way done loss.
Many beginners for this crypto space no really know how to protect their crypto wallet (Bitcoin) carefully because them dey lazy to learn the basic things when it comes to securing their cryptocurrency. Most of the time e dey wonder me how both old timers for the crypto space dey fall for scam and hack, and e dey obvious say na because of say them dey desperate and lazy to secure their crypto wallet well na make fraudster fit hack their wallet.

How to properly store Bitcoin for a long term investment To properly store Bitcoin for a long-term investment, use a non-custodial hardware wallet (cold storage) bought directly from the maker's official site. Never leave long-term funds on an exchange, and write down your offline recovery seed phrase on paper or metal instead of saving it digitally like example Order a cold storage device like a Trezor or Ledger directly from the official maker.Never buy a second-hand hardware device.Initialize the device offline and follow the setup instructions carefully.Write down the 12 to 24 word recovery seed phrase on paper.Better yet, stamp or punch the words onto a durable metal backup plate.Never take a photo, type it on a computer, or store it in an online cloud note.Hide the physical backup in a very secure location like a home safe or bank vault or Do not keep large amounts of Bitcoin on trading exchanges.Do not share your recovery seed phrase with anyone or any website.Learn safe self-custody principles through the Investopedia Guide to Cold Storage.Explore introductory storage steps with River Learn How to Store Bitcoin.Read essential security tips from BitPay on Cryptocurrency Storage.

Another good practice is not to store all your funds in one wallet. You can use two wallets with the same seed phrase but different passphrase and split your funds so that, if an attacker compromise your wallet, your funds in the other wallet will be safe and you wouldn't lose everything just like that. The problem is not buying bitcoin but keeping it safe till your desired time to take profit.

sometime is not just having pass phase for recovery purpoes is very important to store it in different devices and in a personal note  because you can not tell when something might happen resulting to losing your present device at hand while trying to accumulate more bitcoin in your wallet

This is also a very good approach in order to safeguard your wallets and out of the reach of scammers to infiltrate. The major problem with this type of approach is how good you can keep your passphrase secured. You can’t access your passphrase just by knowing the seedphrase to the account, they work independently and both needs to be know before having access to the wallet. This is an extra security layer that is recommended for long term investment in bitcoin. Always safe your passphrase differently from where you saved your seedphrase, this will not make your wallet vulnerable even though of the seeds gets compromised.

What you said is very risky maybe, you don't know the risk attach In saving one's seed phrase in different device because it can be easily access and once someone has access to it especially scammer, everything inside the wallet is all gone so we should be very careful on how and where we save our seed phrase because most place we think is safe for us are not really safe. If you want to save your seed phrase in different device because you can easily lose it then you should be ready for the consequences.

Bitcoin is much more open and unsolicited, so an individual can get their first coins not only through exchanges but also through peer-to-peer transactions and personal custody, and start trading with very small amounts. While it is not entirely easy to own your own coins, it does come with its own security and management responsibilities. The freedom and borderless benefits of owning your own coins are not available with other financial instruments. Transferring large amounts of value is also relatively easy when you don’t have to go through third-party restrictions and regulations. Personal responsibility in storing and managing Bitcoin is essential, but it is also important to understand how Bitcoin empowers you over time and master the necessary security practices. A combination of conscious, undeniable personal management and monitoring is the key to long-term security and empowerment.
