We've seen international brands like apple, Amazon, just to mention a few, become global brands, and in years to come become more valuable sustain continued universal patronage. When we critically look at their operations, on thing actually stands out, and that is over the years they've been able to build a strong reputation as anything produced by them would surely be welcome by their consumers.

As it concerns building a brand, a person with no reputation must constantly prove that they are capable of, while a person with an established reputation as mentioned earlier starts from a different position.

If you are known for keeping your word, people negotiate with you differently. If you are known for making difficult making difficult decisions, people prepare differently when you enter a room. If you are known for solving problems under pressure, opportunities find you before you ask for them; "like the popular saying, your reputation proceeds you". If you are known for being unreliable, even your good decisions are examined with suspicions.

That is because reputation is accumulated information.

People can't observe everything you have done, so they compress history into an expectation of what you're likely to do next.

Your past behavior becomes a prediction. The prediction changes their behaviour. Their behaviour changes the circumstance you face.

That is why reputation is a valuable component when looking to build a sustained brand!

What people seem to be realizing more often is that reputation can be an illusion - maybe at one time X shoemaker made super high quality shoes but over time they went from caring about quality to caring about increasing profits for shareholders. Just like reputations can be built up, they can also be burned back down again and we see it happening all over the place. Look at Doc Martins for example, they were a high respected brand that accrued something of a cult following for boots that would last decades, but that is now in tatters because they outsourced their shoe manufacturing and their fans have abandoned them. For anyone paying close attention, you can often find unbranded goods - that likely came out of the same factory - for a fraction of the price of branded goods. The same thing is happening with phones and now even car manufacturing, where big companies in places like Europe and America stopped focusing on value but now get undercut by Chinese companies in some cases making better goods.

What's more about reputation is that it is also an asset, it is an asset that someone should deemed necessary to build when they are building their brand, because there is more advantage to it in terms of selling your idea or service to the public, if you have build a good reputation, there are people in the society who trust your brand so much to even do free marketing for you and what I mean by that is that, you would see some people who have satisfactorily enjoyed your service telling another person to try your service or brand, you are not aware of this person but he or she is pushing your brand to someone else because they believe in you. That's how reputation works and that is why I said it's a good asset on its own, it brings good opportunity to you and earns you trust among people. Even on this forum for example, we can see the advantages of good reputation.

It takes time to build reputation and so as a business that is just finding her way into the market, your product or the kind of service you are rendering should be of uttermost priority because it is what will speak for you when you are not doing all the talking.

In terms of gadget, itel use to be known for product that are substandard ad a bit cheap and a typical itel product would first of all inherit that negative trait that has already bee associated with the product which means that a product that comes into the market  must first project itself as a different product or else, it suffer from the bad reputation that comes from the band. that not withstanding, they still have one of the best power band of recent time and it took time before people noticed that change but eventually, they did noticed that change.

I agree with this... Reputation can build a trust and open a doors to new opportunities, but it doesn’t always reflect an individual's true character. (if you know what i mean   ) When the incentives are strong enough, some people may prioritize the short term benefits even if it means of risking the reputation they have built over time.
For me, character is more important, as reputation is based on how others see us thru our actions, while character is revealed by what we always do, especially when no one is watching...Social media can truly manipulate our reputation but in the long run, our actions will show whether the image we present is truly who we are or not.

It is true that reputation is one of the most important assets a brand can build. Because customers usually trust  the brands that have strong reputation before deciding whether they wanted to use it or not. Having good reputation give people the confidence that they will receive good quality and services from them . That also applies not only to large companies like Amazon, Apple but also to the small businesses and individuals as well. 

Reputation cannot be built at once and then taken for granted. It has to be maintained through your consistent honesty,  good customer services,  keeping promises with the customer . It is a possibility that a company can have good reputation for years and years but only one serious scandel or mistake can damage the trust of their customers for the rest of the time. If a business continuously deliver what they have promised they have gained the trust of the customer and they returns to them. That is why building strong reputation is very important then simply spending on advertising.

Reputation to me has assymetry to effort and consistency. If you deliver as consistently as when you started and over the years you have managed to put in more effort with consistency despite life's challenges and competition, you have built a name with this alone and that's why it's good to be honest, accountable, and have a clear vision so that it's easy to get the help you need along the way

Reputation is simply what remains of you or the brand you are trying to build over the years, when you remove discrepancies from the equation of what you promised after being paid and what you deliver upon completion and in time.

There are people to whom you cannot lend money. They have proved that they are not reliable when they failed to pay back past loans. While people can entrust millions to people because they trust them. Reputation is a priceless asset of individuals and organizations. It is more valuable than money because it can attract resources.

A simple mistake can destroy a well-built reputation. I have seen sexual scandals destroy the reputation of great men. So we have to be careful of our actions and inactions.

We should be more concerned about the character of the business and not about the reputation. The character of a business may include quality service, fair treatment, truth, consistency, and keeping promises. The character defines the business in one word. Just one bad character, it can ruin the reputation of the business

There is no doubt that if you don't go out with another person, then the real success is that you can also give others the opportunity to work with you, that you advance the hard work and ability of others, that you don't do a good business, but you also establish strength and trust, and this does not progress well, that with it the development of other people cannot also be good. There should be competition in this competition, but in order for other people to improve themselves, the organizations that cooperate with their customers and establish a relationship of justice and trust with them, their success is strengthened, and finally, success itself gives them the opportunity to move forward.

Yes reputation is very important.
You see this is one reason that one has to be naturally good to others, nobody know tomorrow. If your naturally good to people and. In future you get involved with business or any other financial activity, people will always want to do business with you, that's to tell you that good behavior goes far beyond what we think.
So when it comes to reputation it also goes as far as your manners and the way you talk and treat people as well.

It's also important to know that you also need patience, all these brands you see today has been in existence for a long time and their patience paied off, even with good reputation you will still have to excise patience as well.
