There is far more unpredictability in this league compared to the Premier League; in the latter, you can pretty much count on Arsenal or Manchester City to beat a relegation-threatened side. In this league, however, things are complicated every matchday is a battle for survival for every team. You only have to look at the fact that every team has already suffered at least one defeat. I know some might argue that this is because they are already at Matchday 7 while the Premier League is only at Matchday 4, but we’ll see if any team remains unbeaten once the Premier League reaches Matchday 7.

Personally, I prefer just following the results in this league rather than betting on it; I save my bets for the Premier League. If you asked me who I think will be the champion, I’d honestly say that Nuno Espírito Santo’s team West Ham ( West Ham has the best attack so far, in my opinion, their defense is acceptable. ) has a good chance, though they face tough opponents like Wolves, Southampton ( who finished 4th last season ), and Middlesbrough (who finished 5th last season).

Yes, you are correct and that is why I haven't made any bet on Championship games in the early stages. I only start considering the league when there is clear difference between the stronger and weaker teams in that league. Once that is clear, I can start backing the favorities or going against the weakest teams. For instance, Coventry was a very solid team to back towards the latter stages of the Championship last season.

Because since the top two teams last season would have been promoted to the English premier league, added with the play off winner, the following season no team can be seen as favourite until the first ten to fifteen games has been played, that is when we can be sure of the real title contender, and that is what happening in the English championship right now, because westham that seems like the strongest team now, may not be the favourite if they are inconsistent in getting their winning, but if they can keep up to this level of performance during the course of the season, they will definitely be up there fighting for the league title.

The loss of several of the best players to the first flight entirely re survents the power charts at the beginning of each season. Two new matches in Championship are played tomorrow.
Bristol City is playing against Lincoln, and Middlesbrough is waiting for Millwall at Riverside stadium.
West Ham is holding the first place but they have same number of points like Swanswa and WBA.
If Middlesbrough wins tomorrow they can take the first place on table.

Thought you'd never ask.. haha! I'm definitely in. Really hope we can gather a decent group for this. Pools have had a rough run this year with the lack of sponsors which hurt turnout in a few of them.

To be honest I've been terrible in this league the last two seasons but as a degen I can't say no to a bru pool. What kind of buy in are you thinking? Let me know the details so I can get it listed in the directory for extra visibility and you can tag some of the usual crew as well.

Coventry might have being a very solid team in the championship last season and even had to earn their promotion but, they are completely in the wrong league right now, the premier league. They haven’t don’t anything to prove to us that they can make better their stay in the league going forward. Hull city has done a far more better job but, that’s the premier league.

West Ham United as it stands now in the championship is a team anyone can easily back. They are not taking things slow in the league and can go about destroying just any team that is matched against them. They still have that premier league dominance about them in the league and you can hardly go wrong betting on them.

Coventry's fortunes in the Premier League are much worse than Hull City and Ipswich --- they are still not able to compete, I'm not sure they will survive relegation, it's the same as Burnley when in the Championship was good, but in the premier league they were completely destroyed.

Rarely checks the Championship betting markets, but betting on West Ham is a good chance it looks like this team will go on to win with any team, do you think the West Ham odds are much better? Like above @1.50?

EFL Championship continues with unexpected results.
Favorite Middlesbrough didnt win against Millwall, and they missed a chance to climb on top of the league.
Outsider Lincoln won away match against Bristol City, and they are only 3 points away from top of the table!

I didnt have time to ask earlier or to create any prediction pool before season started.
If enough people show interest than we could have higher chances of getting sponsor again, and not only depend on participation fees.

Home team should have advantage but anything can happen in this match, and h2h history is showing that.
On leaderboard we have 4 teams on top with same 14 points, and only goal difference is keeping West Ham on thew top.
This round they are playing away match against good teak Wolves and it is not going to be easy for them to win.

EFL Championship is on the break until October 9, but we can summarize what happened after 8 rounds played.
Swansea has taken first place now ahead of West Ham, and they have best defense in lease with only 6 goals conceded.
West Ham has the best attack in league with 22 scored goals, but Wolves has a chance to climb on top because they played one less match.
it looks like Burnley, Preston and Derby will have a hard time this season and fight for survival.
