I know that this alone doesn't prove that any matches are fixed, and I'm not trying to accuse anyone without evidence. But does anyone know whether there have been documented cases of match-fixing involving players in the Polish or Czech table tennis leagues?

Also, what would be the best way to distinguish between someone who genuinely has useful information and someone running a betting scam?

I'm interested in hearing from people who actually follow these leagues or have experience with table tennis betting.

I hope you understand that 99% of all match-fixing platforms are scams, and there's no way to distinguish the scam and the genuine one because they always have team who will fake review and testimony about their service. But there's a report of about 30 suspicious events in Czech table tennis matches in 2024 and early 2025, including match fixing involving the same athlete, while a player was convicted for making a proposal that involved match fixing results in the Northern Group, 1st League men’s table tennis round 2013–2014 season.

Of course, this still doesn't prove that the information is genuine or that there is any match-fixing involved. I'm just sharing the update because I initially found the posting pattern suspicious, but after speaking to him, I can at least understand the reasoning behind it.

I'm still trying to figure out whether this is genuinely inside information or simply a more sophisticated betting scam.
This group pattern and the ones I know are not the same. At least this person is not desperate to be making money and asking for a paid subscription like they have sure fixed games all the time, but then again you still need to be careful.

Even if someone has access to confidential information about a game, I don’t think they will create a public channel to share those games, as it will expose them and create awareness to that game when we all know game fixing is not legal.

I have always maintained my stand on how lower league competitions are easily suspected of match fixing or are prone to scams. It isn't a new thing even when table tennis is brought up mostly in Poland and Czech Republic.
It's always best to try as much to avoid falling into these scams and losing your funds mostly when you really want to believe a third party claim of a positive result.

In comparison, selling the information itself could potentially be a much more sustainable business model. In this particular case, they are reportedly charging around €400 for information on only 6 matches, so they could potentially make significant money from selling the information without having to place large bets themselves.

And there you go, on the 3rd post and after 40 replies, you finally mentioned where the problem is!
400 for information on some low-level matches that will be flagged instantly by any gambling site where nowadays even the slightest deviations from your normal betting is tracked and analyzed?

You really think that even if the tip is legit, the bookie is going to say, oh, nothing unusual for this guy from Thailand to suddenly, out of the blue, bet on a table tennis match in Krakow and win $10k.  And again, nothing suspicious that we only have 10 bets, everyone has won, and nobody is even from Europe, of course; everything is normal, let's pay them!

Yeah, these leagues are small, and scammers easily target them due to low security. When you find a fixed match or scam, leave it immediately, as it is an illegal approach, and you can face serious consequences for it. Now the question is how to find it. It's very easy, just look at the players and see how many bets are placed on them when they lose the match. The second most important and very familiar sign is that the admin has insider information, which can help you know who will be the winner and who will be the loser. For example, if a match can be predicted to have a certain winner or not loser, it is obvious that they did something to fix the match.

To be honest, from his point of view, that explanation actually makes some sense to me. It would also explain why he doesn't constantly post matches involving dozens of different players like many obvious scam groups do.

I would say that best veiw is not just to assume that the group is legitimate, that they do just forcus on few players. This can just be a strategy to make their service look more credible, having to keep record of your prediction before the game start is a best thing to do, both with the losing ones and then compare the results with some of the reasonable numbers of matches. As times goes on if there are reliable information it will speak out for self.

Personally I won’t just put funds on those matches because of only their group claim, because explanations that Dey do give aren’t more convincing then transparent track records and evidence

The OP apparently talked to that scammer admin before even coming to the forum and was already convinced by his logic of posting with gaps. WTF, LMAO!

Then he comes to the forum looking for sympathy while indirectly trying to paint that group as sophisticated and promote them. NBD, we can all see what's going on here. Grin

The whole fixed match story is one of the oldest scams in the Bitcoin & gambling space.

There are even recent Bitcointalk discussions warning about these exact tactics

It will be very difficult to know if there is match fixing unless you actually witnessed and has a concrete evidence about it else we really can not tell, and if guessing because some particular players, this players might have actually performed well in their previous games and it seems they are good, so it is possible that someone seeing how good a player is can use that ideation to speak good about the players and their strength it does not necessarily mean that the person is involved in matching fixing though it might be possible to an extent but I can not conclude that such do exist in table tennis games,

I'm interested in hearing from people who actually follow these leagues or have experience with table tennis betting.
I'm not a fan of table tennis and I don't really have much knowledge on it, but what attracted me to this thread was the title. Most of us here are looking for legit groups where they share real predictions that is based on statistics to join, even if it is not our favorite sport,  as long as we can win regularly, we are interested.

Since you said that the admin of the group only share matches involving only two places, it shows that the admin of the group only have access to informations concerning those two players.

Therefore, sharing matches involving only two places doesn't necessarily mean that the group is not legitimate. My advice to you is to approach the group with caution until something fishy is discovered, until then stay in the group and try out those matches with an amount you can comfortably afford to lose.

In all my years of gambling one thing I've learnt not to pay attention to or give my time and effort to, is a fixed match or games. Or anyone claiming to be really good sports bets analysis. I hate it when people say that because they are likely scammers. I've not fell for scams like that because I am not blind to how these things work. And the funniest part that if these people can help make a major win why don't they impact same energy and knowledge to their family and friends so they all can benefit from it.

As it should be betting is supposed to be solely in guessing or luck and not something that is certain and so when people claim to have insider information to win gambling I therefore don’t think it’s betting anymore hence I consider it just profit making. So but however for your question op I don’t know of any legit platform that has real information and I don’t believe it because even players most times don’t know what the out come will be but unfortunately this time you are too specific on the region maybe or maybe not! Who knows!!

If you get caught then the sportsbook might confiscate your winnings.

We know the history of Russian Liga Pro and Table Tennis. There was fixing there and the bookies reduced the limit to $40-$50.

But the point is, if you are caught in a sportsbook, not only will your winnings be confiscated, your account will also be permanently banned. And in this era of Dynamic Odds tracking, Bookies always keep an eye on this Suspicious Volume.

So there is no point in risking your funds by following the fake fixing reports of those 4-5 players.

Let's be real. Even though there is chance of manipulation in low tier event like Table Tennis, no Real Insider sells tips on Telegram/Discord.

If you think you found a Clean & Silent tipster, you are just the next victim of scam.

99 out of 100 cases of match fixing groups I have seen are scams. Imo, if someone knows how a match will play out and can make so much money betting on the outcome of the match themselves, why then do they care so much that other people join them to place the same bets? If there is ever fixed matches, trust me, you will never hear about them unless you are part of some inner circle that have access to insider information.

I've made peace with the fact that chasing insider information about fixed matches is an utter waste of time. The only thing that works long term is to get better with analysis and execution of bets whenever you spot a good opportunity.

The are simply just being meticulous about the whole thing, you would never see someone who actually have such a contact create a public group and share with people for free or for a small money, once you come across anything like that just know that they are simply just trying to get their win rate high so that it would be more convicing when they actually start to ask people to pay to access their VIP channel, for now they are giving the free slow games to make it look real before they finally drop their long texts that involves how they would be dropping more games in the VIP channel and then start flooding the group with fake transaction receipt so others would feel like some people are actually paying.

Everything is possible in sports, in every sport, there is more or less match fixing, many people are involved in it, but it is very difficult to detect them because they are very clever. It is absolutely true that match fixing is not possible for everyone who has long experience or has found any concrete evidence, within which they can understand that a game has been fixed. It is not possible for a common person to detect that a match has been fixed. When match fixing basically happens, it is arranged in such a way that common people think that it can happen in a very normal match. It is absolutely wrong to suspect someone about match fixing based on mere assumptions. However, I have never heard of fixing in table tennis before.
