Compilation of Sports/League Topics

Wow, a full 16 topics were dedicated to the World Cup! It truly is a once-every-four-years event that captures everyone's attention. I was heavily involved in a few threads, but I didn't realize there were so many of them.
I remember a lot of people were alarmed when a wave of threads dedicated to small, local leagues began appearing - Waleron Wycliffe was particularly prolific in this regard, but those fears proved unfounded, I notice that of the seven threads he created, practically all of them immediately went inactive and dropped off the first page (possibly for good).

What really scared me was the thought of how much effort you put into creating this thread

This must be really time intensive to have compiled the list of many of the major sports/league topics into one post,but my thoughts is this; shouldn't it be better most of the topics in the 'football general ' discussion, be removed or locked, because I know most of the topics were created when the league competitions were on or have been concluded, and they have served their purpose and that's so as to create more space for better topics that may be added or created in the future?

Topics in the gambling section are changing rapidly. It’s such a fast-paced board that I just noticed this topic. I think it’s quite useful. Even though it isn’t pinned on the board, I’ve bookmarked it somewhere so I can use it.

I think it’s normal to have more than one topic for some leagues, and I also think it’s normal to have this many topics. If we tried to start a general football thread, it would be total chaos.

Great list and awesome work, I somehow managed to miss this topic until now.
Can I suggest adding a dedicated section that lists out the different threads for the various paid pools? Having everything indexed in one place would make it easier to find these threads. To help get that started you can refer to this thread, which already has all the links gathered for these discussion threads.

Edit: I just realized they are all listed already, they are just seperated by sports. Maybe you could just add the directory thread.

I now see the reason for your topic after this compilation, there are numerous threads for some particular sports leagues so some especially the Premier League threads should be merged while the ones that are not relevant locked, like the 2026 FIFA World Cup threads, that particular tournament is over so there's no need to keep the threads going.
 African football discussion and transfer discussions should be left to be different threads but the Champions League and it''s likes should be merged into a single UEFA league thread.

I agree with everything you said here because we both shared the same sentiment on this bro. Most of these threads should have been merged into each other, and their is no point having two or three English premier league discussion thread, that's absurd. Two should be lock and all discussion channelled into one.

All the uefa europe competition like the uefa champions league, uefa europa league and the conference league discussion should all be on the same thread, but by looking at how things are unfolding, I don't think that the moderator will do anything about it anytime soon.

Wow! Am actually blown away by the number of soccer discussion threads on this board. Jeez! All the other sports have a reasonable(Can still be reduced) number of dedicated discussion threads, but soccer has way, way too many unnecessary threads.

For example, why in the world do we need several EPL discussion threads? Yahoo's suggestion was bang on and I really appreciate what you are trying to do here op. Will try helping you update this compilation thread here and there.

I commend your effort in putting this together but if it is not pinned, I'm sorry to say that the effort becomes wasted.

The Nigeria Premier league thread becomes too hard to find sometimes due to low activity there despite the league is currently ongoing. Even if I have something to post, once I check the first and second page and can't find it, I will just let it to post on other threads.

If it's pinned now, one can just visit this thread and click on the prefer thread they're interested in for that day. Thank you for the compilation anyway.

Wow I’m just seeing this now, joker_josue this most have taken you so much time, this is actually amazing, from this list football threads are much and this shows how football is being loved in the world.
I believe a thread like this should be pinned in this board. With this thread finding sports/league threads won’t be hard anymore and this is one of the reasons it should be pinned.

74 threads for soccer alone, that's overkill and it isn't since there are apparently a lot more that could be. Good idea to give everyone a place to find them all, but I think the countries need to come together and form 1 or 2 superleagues and disperse of all these 100+ leagues you guys have. I do appreciate the effort.

And the majority of this thread is very active that dominated already the gambling discussion board. I believe this topic deserves to have their own child board like sports thread to separate the discussion from sports to casino games.

I personally don’t watch football and browsing topic here in gambling board that suitable for me is now a challenge due to this many football thread.

I did not see this post before and this should be pinned. I hope the mods can also see these few threads and protect them more. I noticed like some of the pools,,, Champions League for example of course it is fine for people to drop in and participate but many just spam a few days around CL games disappear and never participate. This reduces the quality of the overall thread.
