You make a very fair point about how companies handle PR, and I agree that no marketing team will ever send an email saying "Yes, we officially cheated." But my point is about how they choose to frame it. Trustpilot doesn't put up a massive red fraud warning banner just because of a few random spam reviews. They do it when they detect systematic, massive manipulation from the platform's side (like bot farms or incentivized reviews). When a multi-million dollar casino responds to a user by basically saying "Trustpilot flagged us for fake reviews, but don't worry, it doesn't affect our legitimacy," that is a passive confirmation of the situation. Instead of saying they are investigating why fake reviews were associated with their brand or claiming it was a mistake, they just brush it off as if manipulating public feedback outside the platform is completely normal business practice. As a community, if we just accept this corporate damage control as normal because "all companies do it," we are lowering the bar for transparency. If they are comfortable with misleading metrics on review sites to attract depositors, it naturally makes people question how transparent they are with other things behind the scenes. Only bar height that matters to me is personal experience and reliability. But i am still not sure how that text would be admission of anything. More like them taking this seriously and explaining to anyone doing this that this is not cool. I never trusted trustpilot because of vote manipulation, and i am glad that they are trying to fix the problem. But i am guessing that people behind this didn't know about it. First thing that comes to mind is that some companies buy guerrilla marketing from third party groups, that could be behind something like this. They are basically creating noise for every paid product in every way possible. But if would be enough to defame a casino, then it would be really easy to for rival casinos to launch false flag bot campaigns that are seemingly launched by the targeted casino themselves.

Comparing systematic review manipulation to a "movie trailer exaggerating features" is a very flawed analogy, @OsalEmma.
A movie trailer uses cinematic angles to highlight real footage. Buying bot farms to fabricate thousands of fake accounts and write identity-theft style 5-star reviews isn't "exaggeration" — it is a direct falsification of public consensus.
You are very wrong. I didn't compare the both; I only used the trailer example to highlight how marketing is being done by displaying selective context and not showing the whole picture - trying to explain that legit platforms does all sort of shady things during marketing. Regarding the support agent: a global platform like Trustpilot does not issue a permanent red banner and lock a multimillion-dollar corporate profile based on a minor error. They do it after an internal investigation provides irrefutable data links. The support agent didn't deny it because the red banner was already live on their page; there was nothing left to deny.
How can they deny what is boldly displayed? The denial I was talking about is the act that led to the red flag, and not the fact that they were red flagged. I'm sure you didn't contact them to know if they had a red flag or not but rather, if they are guilty of the accusation that led to the red flag or not. So stop avoiding the main point. There is a massive line between aggressive marketing and systematic deception. When a crypto project normalizes cross-platform manipulation as "just business," it shows a core integrity issue that directly compromises player safety.
You are right here, it is wrong indeed. But i don't think it is enough to completely write them off and tag them as scammers. Besides, legitimate platforms and industries does something similar during marketing, maybe not with reviews but through other means of marketing. PS: I thought it was weird the way you kept dodging the main points of my reply. saying I am comparing reviews to trailers, and saying the admission was about the red flag. So i went to check your reply in GPTZero, and Yup you are using AI's output for your reply, goodluck.

UPDATE: I contacted Shuffle support regarding the red banner, and here is their official response (translated from Russian support):
"Trustpilot took action against the company profile due to a breach of their guidelines. Specifically, Trustpilot stated that it removed a number of reviews that they deemed fake. This is why the company's rating is currently unavailable on their platform... This action by Trustpilot does not indicate any security or legitimacy issues with Shuffle."
So, Shuffle support officially CONFIRMED that they got caught using fake reviews. Yet, they claim that manipulating feedback and cheating users online "doesn't affect their legitimacy".
This is an unbelievable level of damage control. What do you think about a casino that openly admits to review fraud but tells players "don't worry, your funds are safe"?
That's a typical response from a company that has been caught running such abuse, they try to take a little sliver of truth and twist it to hide all the wrong doing on their end. Sure, there were undoubtedly some false reviews in there just from some raging players, but as you stated - the real truth is that they have been caught in what is classified as fraud in some jurisdictions. I'm not sure they have agreed with your accusation but rather deflected it into something else, like they are trying to twist the truth with their response by claiming the Trustpilot is responsible for messing with their profile page. In a way these gambling sites don't really stand a chance on review sites because it is so hard to distinguish an angry player who can concoct a pretty impressive story (multiplied by tens of thousands of people) that Trustpilot would spend ages trying to figure out which party was really responsible, there is simply no chance that they have the proper investigation powers to do this or funding for it - which means that gambling site review pages get constant negative reviews regardless of if they're genuinely good sites.

If you can find out SHUFFLE withheld players funds by forging policy that benefits them, then that's a legitimate way of saying that SHUFFLE is not liable to be trusted.
It would be wrong to judge things based on funds not being stolen yet or brand not withholding user funds. . This isn't enough proof to call shuffle casino out but it's worth considering since they faked reviews on trust pilots. How do you know they fake reviews on Trust pilot, isn't trust pilot an open platform for users to review about a certain brand, is there any proof that SHUFFLE is responsible for any changes in the reviews on pilot? How are you sure SHUFFLE behind that. If SHUFFLE was a new casino, I would've looked into the allegations and then believe it to be true but SHUFFLE is a big brand for long that would waste their time taking reviews on pilot. The exposure had reached it's peak at least, so what's the point of going to trust pilot for - Not defending them either but saying from my observation.

First thing that comes to mind is that some companies buy boost in marketing from third party groups, that could be behind something like this.
Blaming a third-party marketing agency is the oldest trick in the corporate handbook when a platform gets caught. Even if that is true, a multi-million dollar casino is fully responsible for whoever they hire to manage their public reputation. It is always fascinating to see users wearing banners of massive gambling platforms defending these "minor marketing tricks" and brushing off systematic review manipulation as a normal business practice. When you get used to the corporate standards of giant casino operations, it is easy to forget that for a regular user, any lack of honesty is a massive red flag. If a platform is fine with misleading people on external review sites to pump their metrics and attract depositors, it means they put marketing numbers over transparency. We shouldn't lower the bar for any casino, no matter how big they are. Thanks to Oshosondii and Fertility for highlighting the real issue here. Transparency should be the bare minimum in the crypto space, especially when our funds are on the line.

Trustpilot actually holds some relevance when comes to internet services, related to gaming or not. Since there are a lot of people who blindly believe whatever the rating on Trustpilot is, not aware that it would be more constructive for their own research to check communities like this one, where users with actually reputation share opinions, accusations and feedback on casinos and bookies. To me and to many others Trustpilot does not hold any value when it comes to rating gambling services, but for the uninformed it does, and some casinos take advantage of that lack of information so they can push their brand even further to casual gamblers.

Exactly, and that is the entire problem. Experienced users here on Bitcointalk know how to look for real flags and read between the lines. But these multi-million dollar platforms don't run these fake review campaigns to target legends or senior members of this forum. They specifically target those "casual gamblers" and newcomers who don't know any better. When a regular person types a casino name into Google, sees 5 stars on Trustpilot, and decides to deposit their hard-earned crypto, they are being actively misled. If that platform later uses shady compliance or locks their funds, that user loses faith not just in the casino, but in crypto as a whole. Saying "Trustpilot doesn't matter to us" is an easy way to brush it off, but as a community, we should care when big actors use deceptive marketing to trap uninformed users. If we just ignore these red flags because "it only affects casual players," we are failing the core educational spirit of this space. Transparency should protect everyone, not just those who know how to use a forum.

If we just ignore these red flags because "it only affects casual players," we are failing the core educational spirit of this space. Transparency should protect everyone, not just those who know how to use a forum. When using Trustpilot, it's always advisable to carefully read only those that appear to be legitimate and honest reviews of actual users. I won't go as far as to say that Trustpilot is completely useless, but it shouldn't be the overall rating that matters but the individual reviews. I might not trust a site with an incredibly high rating but with serious stains. Also, Trustpilot should only be one of your review sources, the less reliable one at that. A casino user, especially if he/she's planning to play with serious money, shouldn't choose his/her casino based on a single rating site alone. Feedback should be taken from various review sites, social media, forums, and elsewhere. In that way, you can create a better idea of how reliable a casino is. In the case of Shuffle, it appears both Askgamblers and Casino Guru have it rated low as well.

Thank you for adding this, that is a huge point. The fact that other major aggregators like AskGamblers and Casino Guru also have them rated low proves that this isn’t just a random issue with Trustpilot. It’s a clear pattern across the entire industry. And the situation is getting even more interesting right now. While the official support chooses to stay completely silent here on the forum, the info about this red banner is already leaking directly into their own casino platform chat. I just saw regular players sharing the Trustpilot link right in the live chat on Shuffle.com, warning others about the fraud metrics. When a multi-million dollar business tries to ignore a serious transparency issue on Bitcointalk while their own active players are spamming links about it in their live chat, it shows that corporate damage control is completely failing. People are starting to look past the flashy marketing and five-star numbers, and they want real answers. Let's see how long the team can keep pretending that everything is fine when their own community is bringing up these flags everywhere.

^ Almost 99% of all reviewers (to me 100% but I do not want heat for it) are working exactly like this. You have a website, and you get voted for it. If it is low, the website itself could make it higher and remove the bad ones if you pay them, and even if there aren't any low ones, real terrible review websites will make sure THEY write bad stuff about you, from multiple accounts, so that they could blackmail you. Trustpilot got caught doing that, and that is why nobody trusts them anymore; why would we? They are a shady company.

You hit the nail on the head. Most of these review aggregators are just corporate tools driven by money, blackmail, and fake metrics. This is exactly why experienced crypto users never rely on a Trustpilot score to judge whether a platform is safe or not. But this is also the exact reason why independent forums like Bitcointalk are so important. When a multi-million dollar casino uses these shady review sites to pump their fake 5-star ratings and target casual depositors, the only place where people can find the actual truth is right here in community discussions. If Trustpilot is a shady company, and Shuffle was caught using fake reviews on that exact platform, it just shows that both sides were playing a dirty marketing game. The fact that the Shuffle team chooses to stay completely silent here while their own players are talking about it everywhere proves that they have no real arguments left. We can't stop platforms from using cheap marketing tricks, but we can definitely keep highlighting these flags so that regular users know exactly who they are dealing with. "Don't trust, verify" is the only metric that actually works.

True, trustpilot is a joke fr. Anyone can buy 1000s of 5-star reviews there for pocket money. No regular guy from btt will ever check those metrics before making a deposit. But it's not about trustpilot reputation. It's about shuffle team choices. They make millions but still buy fake feedback to trick casual newbies who don't know shit about crypto. If a huge platform plays dirty just to look good for beginners, it shows how they operate. Getting officially flagged for fake reviews and staying quiet just makes you wonder what else they hide behind the curtain.

Will you really base the reputation of a gambling site just on a review site? Isn't that unfair to the gambling site?
I don't really agree with this kind of point of view, and I see many lazy people who would rather believe a review site because it is the faster way. Let's go to the what-ifs.
1. What if they are paid by another gambling site so that they will be pulled down in the gambling site rankings? 2. What if the review site is actually part of the team at another gambling site? 3. What if the reputation of that review site is actually not that good? Will you still believe them?
IMHO, I always look at the observations and experiences of people. That's why this forum is very important to me because I can somehow read comments and reviews from real players and gamblers. Always remember, these review sites are paid or use their site for affiliate programs. Gamblers, on the other hand, aren't paid for their reviews, and it's all based on their experience.

Fair point, bad reviews can be bought by competitors easily, and tp is def not a holy source. Checking real player logs here on btt is way better than trusting some random ranking sites. But here it's a bit different. Shuffle didn't just get some bad stars from haters. The site algorithms actually caught them faking metrics and put a big warning badge on top. So it's not about being lazy and trusting bad ratings. It's about a huge platform getting caught red-handed while trying to fool newbies. Btt feedback from real gamblers is key, I agree 100%. But when a casino gets officially flagged for stuffing fake feedback, it still looks bad for their transparency bcs trust is everything.

I will literally do the fake reviews if I am running a online casino via trustpilot because that's what every casinos do too, on trustpilot you can buy your way to five star ratings, in fact it's not just trustpilot only.
It's why every review platforms for casinos are complete jokes, they always stand so low that money can push them around, and to be frank how will they make money if not for this ways?
It's why I will never trust any rating platforms, their reviews are base on who can pay the most.

Shuffle.com was just trying to protect their image by causing themselves more damage. But with this, it doesn't say whether they manipulate games or make withdrawal impossible on their platform. There concern was that many people trust trustpilot for their reviews and having a bad review on trustpilot might cause them loss of customers. So there means of preventing that made it look like they have a bad image. Although, I am not defending them on the matter that they don't have or of the support that they do. I am just stating facts as to the news.

Casinos buying their reputation by faking reviews from "users", casino reviewers and even content creators are pretty common nowadays. This is why I value this forum reviews on casino reviews. The investigation here is pretty wild if there are accusations against a casino and forum members unfold it themselves. I trust this forum review over the most legitimate review website on the internet to be honest.
I had played on shuffle for sometime and I haven't seen any issue with them so my judgement is on the positive side for them.

I guess you didn't miss the part where bone777 said Shuffle actually confirmed they were caught doing fake reviews on Trustpilot. Don't forget, Trustpilot has all the reviews on its platform. If anyone feels suspicious, they go into digging the truth out. Everything is open in the Trustpilot admin section. Proper statistics for all casinos using their platform are recorded. It won't be hard for Trustpilot to fish out any activity that does not seem right to them. I'm not supporting the idea that a penalty should be given to Shuffle, because I don't think they are the only casino capable of doing fake reviews on Trustpilot. As a matter of fact, most casinos are competent at doing this.

It’s actually pretty weird that Shuffle’s support or community managers haven’t said a single word in this thread yet. They are active enough on the forum when it comes to standard promo stuff, but when there is a literal red flag on Trustpilot and people are asking questions here, they just choose to stay silent. Running away from the topic doesn't make it look any better. If it was a mistake by a third-party agency, why not just come here and clarify? Silence usually means they simply have nothing to say to the community.
