I have played it a bit. One problem is that buying and selling has basically no limits and breaks the game. I just simply bought and sold, I bought and the price went up, then I sold and price went down, and each time I made a profit, and at one point, I had trillions. That makes no sense, there needs to be a situation where you can't control the entire market. If I buy and it goes up more than what I bought, and I just sell each time, then I would repeat buy and sell repeatedly forever and I would have needless money, which is exactly what happened, I had trillions of dollars because of this simple move. You can't do that in real life, you can't just buy and sell repeatedly and keep making profit each time.
Also, I got bored and wanted to test what happens if I just keep on selling, and keep on buying, I bought so much that the price just went up to hundreds of thousands, and then I sold and I got go to minus, which means that I could sell what I do not have as well, and at one point I literally had millions of this "owed" as well, funny method, sure people can short, but not THAT much. So the price reached few cents only, so of course I bought it all back and got rich again. Simply put, the market economics of the game isn't what it should be.
Thanks for playing the game and sharing feedback! Yeah, it's pretty easy to manipulate the market against the bots, especially if you're the only one in the game with nobody to compete with. In theory it should become more competitive if there are lots of players, but the game is pretty new and not that many people know about it. I made the game with the idea of allowing players a lot of power to move the market, since I think big numbers and ridiculous price movements are just more fun, but the game is pretty trivial to beat if there are no other real human players who know what they're doing. I made the bots pretty dumb because primarily this game is about playing against other players, the bots just give a bit of extra price movement and liquidity to keep things moving.
If you could find a friend or group of friends to play it might make the game more interesting, assuming they are actively trying to counteract you. For example, if you open a massive short position, someone could try to bankrupt you by buying up all of your sell orders and then trying to raise the price. Like real markets, they get more competitive as there are more participants.
I'm trying my best to spread the word and get more visibility on the game, I'm hoping at some point it gets enough players so that new players that join aren't greeted by an empty lobby with only bots.
Keep it up. Are there future features that you're thinking to add?
At this point I'm mostly focusing on making small quality of life changes to the UI, and trying to get more players to play the game. I think the biggest thing the game needs right now to improve player experience is to have more players.
