That be discovered today the incidence of crypto related scam does not mean that bitcoin is also intended for this purpose, hackers are everywhere and they could use any platform or opportunity to invade on their targeted prey, we have to learn more about bitcoin network and the reason why it was introduced, this will make us have the genuine neutrality about engaging its use without any second doubt of what bitcoins serves in cryptocurrency.

The truth about criminals and Bitcoin points to one fact that sheds light on the difference between old and sustained base protocol layer and the current institutional layer which is where CEX and ETF comes into the mix.

Criminals may be smart to use sophisticated tools including Bitcoin but it really doesn't stop ordinary people from using it to achieve their set goals and target. So with the knowledge of the base protocol layer and the current institutional layer, an ordinary person can use Bitcoin without being a threat even though it is their choice to fill kyc requirements or not , if they are using the base protocol layer on the decentralized blockchain network.

Bitcoin can be said to have lost its edge of neutrality if it totally forgoes the original base protocol layer and that's why we see Bitcoin today as more of a hybrid alternative with the DEX and CEX working together to make it retain its value of superiority to legacy networks.

Bitcoin can be said to have lost its edge of neutrality if it totally forgives the original base protocol layer and that's why we see Bitcoin today as more of a hybrid alternative

You made a perfect distinction between the base layer and the institutional layer. This hybrid reality is exactly what challenges the crypto community today. As long as the base protocol stays decentralized and open to anyone without KYC, Bitcoin keeps its core neutrality.

The main issue appears when users begin to confuse these two layers. New users often think that centralized platforms, strict KYC policies, and corporate rules are what Bitcoin is. They forget that these big players are just building a centralized corporate shell on top of a totally free network.

If we allow centralized exchanges, institutional funds, and big platforms to dictate what is legal or illegal on the network, we are slowly building a new version of the old banking system. We must protect the pure base layer and remember that Bitcoin is for everyone, good or bad. Neutrality means the protocol does not judge the user. Thanks for adding this great analytical point to the thread!
