Honestly, I don't understand anything about baseball. Starting from the player's position to the rules of the game, I am not aware of anything. But since childhood, I have been a great fan of cricket, yes, I myself have played cricket. So I can say a lot about cricket. I think not every person in the world likes a game that he is not aware of. There was a time when I would not miss watching a match of the cricket national team, cricket was such a favorite game for me.

What? Multiple days? They if you buy a ticket for the game, it is valid for all the time the game is played? No wonder why cricket is so popular, because it allows to run from wife fore several days and spend time in calm If cricket game can be so long, I would for sure prefer baseball. It is a huge problem if you might have to wait days to find out who has won.

I have no intention of belittling any game. It's has been a curiosity of mine. Although I've watched some youtube videos but didn't like those.

In my country, nowhere cricket game is being played, and that is why I have no idea of the rules or how a goal is score or how the point is being given, if it's by point, but base ball is not popularly known in my country, but I have an idea on it, how it's being played, because it's not difficult to understand like in cricket game where I even practiced in school in our sport period, but was unable to understand until date. So I will choose base ball over cricket game because it's the sport I understand, but if any day I can understand cricket, that will be the best time to do a proper review of both.

I think both games are completely different. Yes they have some similarities but the rules and the way the match progresses are very different. Now which one I would pick would completely depend on the popular sport in my region. Generally in Asian countries, people play cricket a lot. Hence if you ask me personally, I like cricket more.

Both cricket and baseball are fast paced games but the thing is that in cricket more players get the chance to play and more runs are scored. Whereas in baseball, there are only nine players on the field. Since 11 players play in a cricket team, more fans are connected to the game compared to baseball.

I also like to watch and play cricket because anything and everything can happen on any ball hence this creates a sense of surprise in every moment.

I don't have personal experience with this since I have not purchased a ticket for test match (only in this format matches are played over several days), but Google search tells me, tickets can be purchased for each individual day or for whole match (i.e. 5 days).

Cricket for me, especially T20 format.

While both use a bat and a ball, cricket has a lot more variables. The ball bouncing off the pitch adds spin, seam, and unpredictable movement to every delivery, and batsmen can hit 360 degrees around the ground. That leads to much higher scoring and constant action.

Baseball has insane pitching speeds and incredible defensive plays, but the downtime between pitches can make it feel pretty slow. Short-format cricket (T20) gives you high intensity and non-stop strategy packed into a tight 3-hour window, which makes it way more enjoyable to watch.

Honestly, I get what you mean... I’ve tried watching cricket a few times, but it’s one of those sports that just takes forever to get into if you didn’t grow up watching it... I know there’s a lot of strategies involved but from the outside it can feel like nothing is happening for ages. about baseball, i can say that it can be pretty slow too, especially when there’s a lot of pitching and no one is getting on base, but at least there’s always that moment where someone absolutely destroys the ball and suddenly the whole game gets exciting... I guess I just prefer sports where there are more frequent moments that immediately get your attention.

Baseball... but just because I know it from movies. Other than that, I saw many home run videos and some other interesting moments. I know some baseball terms, and I don't know anything about cricket. I saw some videos about cricket, but I can't say I understood anything...

Baseball, rugby, and cricket are not popular games here... Some people watch it, but they are a small group of people. I'm not a big follower, but as far as I know, there are some baseball, rugby, and cricket clubs in Serbia, but they are relatively new, and those are pretty small leagues. If you talk about the sports of Baseball and Cricket, these two types of sports are almost the same, both aim to score points, Both types of sports are played using the rules of two teams with 9 people in Baseball and 11 people in Cricket, they all have different tasks, but the goal is the same, score points.

If I choose, of course I will choose Baseball, this is a sport that I have played from elementary school to high school, throwing the ball, hitting and running, determine the number.
Cricket for me is quite boring, This sport has no limit on numbers, the most the team wins, the game is long.
For me, Baseball is the best sport.

Honestly I struggle with both of these sports, went to watch the Bluejays live in Canada and it's fun for a one off experience but even watching the professionals play felt kinda boring. The players are all at the height of their game, but this meant that the pitcher was able to get most of the batters out and the few batters that did strike the ball were inevitably out because the catchers were so good. It seems like really strong pitchers make it incredibly hard for the batters to connect with anything. That translated into very little action taking place and maybe one hit out of 10 balls thrown. I've not watched much cricket and people say it is a long game, but I suspect it might be more entertaining than baseball because the batters are more likely to convert into hits.

In cricket, specifically in ODI and T20 format, batter (the one holding bat) hit almost all the balls since objective is to score runs while in test format, batter may leave balls that weren't going to hit wickets since objective is to survive on the crease as much as possible, so they avoid hitting the ball, and avoid the risk of getting out altogether — this is why test format is not considered entertaining as the other two.

The both of them are something I don't have a single knowledge on how they play it because I don't pay much attention to them since they are not that common in my state. My favorite game is football, and that is what I usually bet on since I can understand everything about it. Although if there is any other game I should pick then it will be basketball. How I was able to understand it and to be more conversant with it was doing my school days, it was really fun way back at school.

Am also clue about playing both to be frank, but I only appreciate watching them, because these spots are entertaining to be sincere, sometimes I also do consider playing them on bet, whenever I wanted to try out something new and risk my chances of winning, all I do is to pick a particular team for a direct win or lose, while I don't have an idea on how they are being played or the rules guiding their play.

I will not really say anyone is better than the other because we all have preference. They are similar... more like cousins .. from the little games that I've watch on the two, I will say that baseball has like a more tactical approach that is more present and gives more quick engagement action while cricket has much slower pace and the build up is usually longer in terms of tactics . I will personally prefer baseball because cricket at the beginning makes me lose interest compared to baseball. but everyone has their preference so my own choice may not be a better option for someone else.

Both games are actually very boring to me compared football but that's just my take on it, others might have their one opinions about this but sports generally is supposed to be enjoyed so whatever others prefer is up to them.

Whether to watch a given sport or not is a personal preference. Soccer and basketball are always fast and offer thrilling scenes which impress upon you instantly without necessarily taking too long. Long games may be very tedious to those who want to watch games full of action. It is also the best choice to spend a relaxed time only watching what you like to watch.

That's the main point, it can be very exhausting to watch games that aren't really full of action, watching games like baseball and cricket for hours can make me fall asleep, this cannot be compared to the thrill that we get from soccer. Even though everyone has their preference and what excites them in sports games we can all agree that soccer has a certain level of suspense and action that makes the game enjoyable and interesting to watch.

Just like you said, it all depends on your preference, There are people that don't find soccer and basketball games interesting to watch due to their personal reasons.

All the rules of every game is online and which you can be able to get if you make a research concerning them so I think that everything that we needed in the rules and regulation of any game can be get through internet research, most of us who are here may not differentiate the rules and regulation of the both games that you mentioned, so I suggest that if you want to understand them we should make a personal research or a personal inquiring to know them, especially the people who is interested in such game's, I believe that people that gambles on them knows their rules

Even in your case, the issue of popularity may not be a reason, but I personally think that popularity is a big factor here, because if we look at this thing, then we will see that different types of sports are more popular in each area, like in Europe football and partially cricket; if we talk about South Asian countries, cricket will be on the top and then the football. And in the countries of the American side, baseball or soccer are more popular.

And about the boringness in cricket, yes, it is true in the case of the test match because it takes up to five days but in case of ODI and t20 I don't feel bored when the match is my favourite team but even here, it takes a lot of time during the day, so it is often seen that games are watched in parts rather than in their entirety, or scores are checked.
