Baseball Vs Cricket which one is you pick?

I would pick baseball because I simply don't understand anything about Cricket, I don't even know the basic rules of cricket.
On the other hand, I have myself played baseball in the past, so I am familiar with those rules.

From my experience, Baseball is a game which is popular in the western countries, while Cricket is rather a sport which has much following in the east, specially in countries like India and Pakistan.

I have history and my family also have story with baseball, so this is basically an easy pick for me.

Recently, i've been following baseball a bit more, but I still can't pick it because the betting side of baseball can break you in the regular season, given how any team can randomly go on a streak.

It's been a few years since i've touched cricket, but it gets my vote because I recall the comebacks that can make cricket betting fun. That phase I went through with cricket brought me some good memories, while baseball is almost as frustrating as betting on tennis.

Cricket looks more fun to me, especially when the bowler is trying so hard to send the ball to bounce much closer to the batman so that the batman loses it and points awarded to the bowling team, the switch from batting to bowling team and all of the run-around and reshuffles in the game. I kind of drew some interests in watching cricket games recently and that's just me trying to explore these games that I'm not used to. I've not really placed any bet on cricket games, I still have a lot of learning to do before I can place my stakes.

I don't really understand these games and because of that I don't have any interest in any of them, I feel like the rules of these games are more than soccer which makes it too complicated. As a bettor i have always preferred soccer not because I have been used to it only but because of how direct the options are and how easy they are to understand. I tried to learn somethings about baseball and ice hockey but I lost Interest at some point. When it comes to sports games everyone has their preference and for me I would always go with soccer game because that's what looks more fun to me compared to other games.

I am in the same boat when it comes to cricket, I don't know the rules or understand a thing when it comes to  the sport. Baseball is my choice, but I am American so not really a shocker. Is cricket entertaining at all? Never really seen it played.

It is because of the regional bias where we grew up. I have not seen a single baseball game live in my entire life, while we literally played all the other sports on a daily basis. As kids, you didn't need much space to play with improvised rules, be it cricket, football, badminton or volleyball.

Flew over my head. It's not hard to bowl a bouncer, WDYM with batsman loses it? Batters are free to leave bouncer bowls, plus there is limit on how many bouncers can be bowled in each over too according to particular format. What points?

I think I have seen clips of both games, although when it comes to knowledge about both of them, I am quite ignorant.

i have seen baseball being played in movies and also some YouTube clips, and it looked kinda interesting, but not so much that it would make me want to go and learn about it.

If I am to choose, with the level of knowledge I have between them (or we could say the level of ignorance), it would be baseball, simply because I have seen the game being played in movies.

I wouldn't say I'm ignorant but I don't really pay attention to these because a lot of times that I have a lot of time to watch my favorite sports games these games also compete with that time as well and as football fans we know the suspense and action that makes football captivating and it makes you forget about watching other sports games. To me I think baseball is quite easier to understand compared to cricket because it just involves basic movement, rules and regulations.
The game of cricket on the other hand has a lot of things to understand and learn, the terms alone are way too much compared to baseball.

Yes, cricket was spread throughout the Commonwealth countries by the British, and all the top international teams are Commonwealth countries. India and Pakistan are just a part of that group, and when it comes to performance, India is a much better team in every format. It is one of the main sports in the country, and the players are big-time celebrities who have more followers on social media than any other sports star from the US.

It's been taught at our school when we are in high school, just the basic rules. So we are under the American rule but we didn't adopt that sports. Although we have some local and minor league but it didn't took of as compared to other sports like volleyball or basketball.

Since you are unaware, the first international cricket match was actually played between the USA and Canada. It was a popular sport according to cricket history, but things changed after the Civil War. Because baseball requires much less equipment and much less time to complete a match and hence they promoted baseball instead.

When we come to a gambling perspective, I know that many will only make their decision based on the kind of game they like to play most and also know about, but I think a majority are still used to playing baseball rather than cricket.

Cricket, baseball, American football and other games that are quite complex to understand, people who are not from the regions that they are popular cannot understand them and most would not have any interest in them. There are games that you might be watching for the very first time and you will understand how it's played almost immediately, example is football and basketball, you will know that the opposite teams wants to score in their opponent's net. I believe that the most popular sport would be football because it is very easy and straightforward to understand and that is why it is played in every country unlike cricket and baseball that is not played in every country. I will rather bet on football than any other sports.

Yesterday I watch surfing through tv channels and found cricket game (which is very surprising, as this is a very uncommon sport for locals). As I understood it was some local league or low tier league, as there were almost no spectators on stadium. It even looked like school stadium or something very simple. Anyway, commentator spoke English with Indian accent and it was hard to understand and hard to watch. I have noticed players walked more than run, game was very slow. Honestly, I had enough for ~10 minutes and switched it. Really hard to understand what is going on. I think I need more exciting game and someone next to me who could explain what is going on, otherwise really hard to watch it

I don't understand a single rule about baseball but it's always fascinates me regarding the baseball and cricket. Both we're getting played by a bat & a ball. But the structure and the rules are totally different.

I think I am your opposite because we play cricket very rarely here but baseball is played a lot and we even have a national baseball team. I don't know much about cricket but I know a lot about baseball and although I have never played baseball myself I often watch baseball live. I think people have more interest in watching football (scorer) than any other sport, and it is the most popular sport recognised by people worldwide. I'm also not much familiar with other sports. That's how it is, if you are not familiar with something it would be difficult for you to develop interests in it, and you will find it with a lot of complications, the same thing applies to scorer, someone who doesn't understand any thing about it will find it complicated compared to someone that is an expert.

I will choose baseball over cricket every day because baseball is very easy to understand. Apart from that it's a game I can play very well, because I have played it on several occasions during our community sport festivals, but with cricket, I am completely lost because I did not learn how the game is being played from a tender age , even until this day, like baseball and football that was very popular in my country.

As for now I prefer football over all other games, second to basketball, but since baseball is not a major sport in my country like football, I never took it serious that much because you will hardly see where it's being played, but as for cricket I have no idea how it's played or where it is being played.

It does not matter if a particular sport has a similarity with another from the mode of playing them, gamblers have to decided on whether they have passion or interest over any particular sport or not, which we also ultimately determine whether they will put their mind towards playing it or not whenever they are gambling, it's all depends on our preference when it's fun time, you don't also have to have an experience in playing a particular sport before we could gamble it especially when we want only play for fun and not for earning.

Someone can watch both games and find one fascinating and the other confusing not bevajse he hates one game and like the other. No. It's because he understands one game more than the other. Cultural preferences too can have a role here to play. Someone grew among were people only mention cricket will be more familiar with the game cricket and baseball. any game that you are not familiar with will it look tiring to you because you have not understand the procedures and protocols of the game, but if it is the one that you understand the protocols you will not find it very difficult to interpret exactly what they are doing and also book them in your gambling, that is why I do tell people I've been gambling is game of luck because sometimes we do Gamble what we don't know or what we are not familiar with but at the end favor locate us and we still win, so every game have it own scenario, so it is left for us to understand the game first before we come attempt to try our luck
