I was searching through Bitmart keywords on X.com (formerly Twitter) to see the progress of those pending withdrawals and I ran into some accounts posting as if they are part of Bitmart support team, commenting on almost on every complaint issued by one of Bitmart's victims and some of these accounts have blue ticker on them which might mislead people to think that its part of the Bitmart team

You should add more details to this thread. Also, increase the size of the image that you posted. I can barely see anything from the image you posted. So, I have increased it myself. If you look at the screenshot, this X account clearly shows it is a commentary account. There are other types of accounts as well, such as Parody accounts. However, the intention of the accounts is not good. People need to be cautious with these accounts.

Regular X users know the difference between the blue verified badge and the yellow one. The official business accounts usually has Yellow badge on their profile. I am not aware of Bitmart withdrawal cases, but I will search and check what you were talking about. As far as I know, they are phasing out operations by January 31

Since they announced their wind-down process, withdrawals have stalled and Bitmart users are unable to withdraw their funds from the exchange. Bitmart's founder, Sheldon, posted on X about a week ago that they haven't disappeared and have no plans of that, as well as their commitment to an orderly wind-down. But his words and the actions of the exchange is the definition of antithesis, users are still waiting endlessly for their money and i think they are bankrupt.

I am wondering how these scammers intend to steal from people, definitely not from their Bitmart account, as withdrawals are not going through. So, it is either they trick people into sending them funds they have in other wallets or exchanges. It would be really stupid of anyone to fall for something this cheap.

The title is also a bit misleading; it should be something like "Watch out for fake BitMart representatives on X." You are making allegations against an account suspected of having no affiliation with the company.

By the way, are you like other users who are waiting for a withdrawal to be processed? Use their official verification page to check who you are dealing with.

They didn't even pay their own employees

This is their own brand account putting Sheldon on blast for withholding payments for everyone

Very shameful of him. I hope we find the truth of this.

Edit: LOL he replied minutes later saying he's going to investigate everything

We have collected full evidence of the content on X, all of which is fabricated rumors. During daytime US time, we will file a police report and send a lawyer's letter to X, demanding technical and data forensics. Please be patient and wait for further announcements on other matters. Employee assets are not prioritized over client assets—everyone is a client, and there are no privileges.

Yes, many people are foolish. What if they tell them to put their seed phrase somewhere, they will also do that.

There have been people that are complaining about the exchange on this forum also. It is not the only the exchange that closed down recently, but it is the only exchange that people are complaining about unable to withdraw.

You bet it is. Sheldon is a clown and in all indication, he is going down in this case. He now even sounds like a troll.

It is only a matter of time before he is arrested and "forced" to actually give updates (not PR) on what is actually happening with client's withdrawals and also employees salaries. Plus he would have to provide verifiable facts, not just his words, which would include financial records and similar information.

About this exchange, I am beginning to also feel that they are probably bankrupt and that could even be the reason why they are shorting down the exchange. I remember that this exchange have had different issues in the previous years, first was a hack in 2021 where they said they lost $150k, many customers were affected in that event and the exchange promised to reimburse them but rumour later had it that they didn't reimburse customers. In 2022, U.S. Federal Trade Commission investigate them because of that event. The following year after then, which was in 2023, another issues happened, customers withdrawal was suspended. So, this exchange have actually had records of different issues and I am just beginning to think that something is not right.  Based on what Tether posted, employees are also affected, if that's true, I really doubt the possibility that every of their users will be able to get their money, it's so bad of the CEO.

I was searching through Bitmart keywords on X.com (formerly Twitter) to see the progress of those pending withdrawals and I ran into some accounts posting as if they are part of Bitmart support team,
I am wondering how these scammers intend to steal from people, definitely not from their Bitmart account, as withdrawals are not going through. So, it is either they trick people into sending them funds they have in other wallets or exchanges. It would be really stupid of anyone to fall for something this cheap.

Those scammers are never out of idea. They try to use their victims' desperation against them. Let's say, for instance, one of the guys on X posted his pending withdrawal of about $250k. If these scammers manages to get his attention, they can ask for details from him pretend as if they are getting some things done, then after some times they will come back to say there is too many request from a lot of customer which his might take time due to the volume of withdrawal being requested, and if the guy needs to get it through real quick he will have to make some payment for express withdrawal someone with $250k might not even mind to pay $1k-$5k.

They didn't even pay their own employees

This is their own brand account putting Sheldon on blast for withholding payments for everyone

https://x.com/BitMart_zh/status/2089219841853161584

Very shameful of him. I hope we find the truth of this.

Edit: LOL he replied minutes later saying he's going to investigate everything

And most of the employees also said they where not even aware of the whole shutdown of a thing until a day to when that announcement was made. They were just contacted to hand over access to all social media handles, remove them from companies' workspaces, etc, and it was then that they got informed of the whole situation and most of them even requested for withdrawal immediately before the 26th which their shutdown was supposed to take full effect according to their announcement.

That happens for almost social media where an exchange is existing not only for bitmart. There will be gullible victims that will believe that they are the real support because of putting their names the same to bitmart. Even in telegram, there will be a lot of these scammers that will copy and act as if they're a real staff from the exchange.

About this exchange, I am beginning to also feel that they are probably bankrupt and that could even be the reason why they are shorting down the exchange.
Chances is that, they truly are. Because AFAIK, they're charging more than the usual for withdrawals and possibility is that, excess from the withdrawal fees is being added to the fund they're using for paying the withdrawal requests of their user since they're still there up to January of 2027 but that's tentative and can change.
