You just nailed it with this statement mate. In most society their is always a group of powerful corrupt people that protect themselves from any of them facing the full wrath of the law. In my country godatherism is the main problem why corruption will be difficult to stop, because an out going governor, a political or economic leader will do everything to put his boy there, so that all his shit will not be exposed, and brought to book, that is why you will hardly see a politician goes to prison upon the terrible things he did while in office. So I utterly agree with you when you said that something a whole group of powerful people keeps on protecting themselves, and since they are powerful, most people will be afraid of crossing any of them, which I believe is in every community worldwide.

You can find corrupt leaders in all the countries especially in the government. And what they do to remain powerful is maintaining their secrets and then they will pass it to their successor who then will hide their secrets and carry on with their legacy. This is because if  there secrets is exposed it can bring down their empires. So that is why they anoint a trusted person as their successor that will protect what they have builds over the years. Sometimes their successor may not like to follow the same path like their godfathers and that will cause a great misunderstanding. In some countries,citizens protest against godfatherism,some of them gets killed during the protests by security forces who might be following orders from above and that's bad.

I don't know practices in other countries, but in my country, government can get financing from private sector through Government Debt Instruments (SUN) and Government Sharia Securities (SBSN). The mechanism government issue bonds to obtain funds and pays coupon to investor who buy them, all full amount will be returned at maturity.B eside that government has retail government bonds (ORI) anf Savings Bond Ritel (SBR) which intended for Indonesian citizen.

Other tools, government can also do private placement, for this, government can ofeer and sell Government Debt Instrument to specific selected investor without standard public offering mechanism. So in my country everybody can be creditor for government. And private sector hold government debt instrument in large amount. In my country, this is formal arrangement and it is an established and regulated part of public finance.

So beside foreign direct investment and bank, the private sector is an important part of the government's domestic investor base.

When dealing with corrupt group of people, the only way to dislodged them is through the use of force or if you are even more corrupt than them, which will possibly makes you not different from them. And one bad thing about these sets of people is that they don't find it hard to kill anyone that stands in their way in achieving what they they want, because they can do and undo, believing that they have someone in government or in position to shield them from any reprisal or the law if they are caught, that's why it's a big problem or obstacles to the growth of the society.

Exactly, I can relate with your points most especially when you mentioned that corrupt people also want corrupt people around them and this is one of the biggest problems we are facing today in politics because the rate of which corruption is turning to a normal thing in the society is so alarming and it’s turning to a normal culture gradually and those with integrity the society are now seen as a threat and thats why so many people with integrity and God fearing heart have falling into the trap of the corrupt leaders because they are now seen as a threat and either their carrier or their lives is now at stake. I also believe it is dangerous to say that a person must be corrupt to succeed in politics because as a student of political science I have see a lot not just in the society but even inside the normal school small, small politics a lot has happen tho there are still people who enter politics with good intentions but the main issue is having the courage and support to remain honest when the system is not on your side.
