Hello everyone. My name is Dmitry. I have over 15 years of experience in software development (ex-Lido, ex-erigon-cdk). For the past 7 years, I have been strictly focused on blockchain sensitive solutions: nodes, cross-chain protocols, asset management, CEX and DEX, ETL, wallets.  Currently, our small team of engineers is finalizing and preparing for the launch of the second version of our wallet — Soika Wallet v2.

Architecture & Concept
A cross-platform, compiled, non-custodial multichain desktop HD wallet with an absolute focus on maximum security with AirGap support.
We are planning two editions: Lite (for regular users) and Pro (featuring an advanced toolset for frequent on-chain operations, zero swap commissions).

Background (Soika Wallet v1)
The development of the first version started in August 2022 and took exactly one year (built following classic engineering paradigms, long before the "vibe coding" trend).
Tech stack & features: Golang, console TUI, AirGap via animated QRs (+ Android app), private node support, on-chain only mode, memory protection via mprotect, a strict zero-dependency approach, and the ability to run on embedded devices like the Raspberry Pi Zero.

Due to the exceptionally steep learning curve for the mass market, the cryptopunk concept of v1 was pivoted towards B2B solutions (private infrastructure for DAOs, multisig setups, and asset management).

Soika Wallet v2
The second version features a familiar GUI built with C++ and Qt. The fundamental security concept remains intact, but we introduced necessary dependencies to significantly improve the UX.

Work-in-progress screenshots (UI/UX design is currently being finalized)

More screenshots: Screenshot 4

Tech Specs & Key Features of v2:

  • C/C++ Core (No JS/TS): Fully compiled code. We deliberately avoid interpreted languages and the npm ecosystem to eliminate supply-chain attack vectors and dependency injections (a common vulnerability in popular Web3 extensions).
  • True AirGap: Transactions are signed on a mobile device fully isolated from the internet and Wi-Fi. Data transmission channels: QR, Bluetooth, or NFC. Supports GrapheneOS and requires zero Google Services.
  • Hardened Hot-Wallet Mode: For everyday carry (EDC) operations without an AirGap device, we utilize a highly advanced crypto-container. It operates with privileges outside the user space, utilizing built-in mechanisms to protect the secrets vault against brute-force attacks, memory dumping, and CPU register scraping (a detailed technical report will be published post-audit).
  • Infrastructure Independence: Users can connect via their own private nodes, public RPCs, or our default servers.
  • Zero-Backend Option: You can completely disable the SoikaWallet backend (which provides portfolio and fiat quote data) and switch to a strict on-chain only mode.
  • Web3 / dApp Proxy: Secrets are never exposed to the user space memory or the browser's local storage. The Soika Wallet Web3 plugin acts merely as an emulator, proxying requests to the desktop app. It supports address routing, multi-accounting, and auto-confirmations (safely managing hundreds of browser profiles through a single wallet app).
  • Native Multi-chain: Built-in support for Bitcoin, EVM (L1, L2), Tron, Solana, Sui, and TON. Monad and other promising chains are currently in development.
  • Built-in Routing: An integrated aggregator for cross-chain bridges and DEXs natively within the app.
  • SecOps: Advanced anti-MEV protection, accompanied by static analysis of transactions, smart contracts, and tokens to prevent scams.
  • AI Integration: Built-in MCP server for users relying on AI agents in their workflow.
  • Automation: Support for scheduled transactions, low-gas sniping, mass payouts, portfolio rebalancing, AML scored invoices, limit orders, and others.
  • Multisig: User-friendly multisig adoptions.

Current metrics and integrations:

Full metrics and integrations

A public release is scheduled within the next 2 months.
Currently, we have no external backers yet and are actively looking for partners, integration proposals, grants, and investments.

This is the first time I hear about Soika Wallet. Did you create an announcement thread on Bitcointalk when Soika Wallet v1 was released?
This is the second airgapped mutichain solution introduced on the forum in recent weeks.

Does Soika Wallet support other software as companion apps to sign transactions? Sparrow Wallet and similar ones?
Do you support the Ethereum chain as well?

And more importantly github (or similar) link?

The only thing I could find is: https://github.com/censync/soikawallet-common

And your domain is only a few months old.

Might be a great product, but without more info it's going to be hard to trust it.

1. I didn't create an announcement thread for v1 because it didn't support Bitcoin at the time. Ultimately, that version didn't get much traction within our focus groups and transitioned into an internal company tool.

2. Competition is always a good thing - it drives products to improve and evolve.

3. Currently, we don't support BIP-174 (PSBT), but we can implement it as a fallback in the mobile app if need it. Our AirGap protocol will be published under OSS, when we finalize the NFC integration. In the future, we plan to expand the AirGap app's capabilities to handle a wider range of operations, such as storing SSH keys.

4. Yes, EVM networks (L1 and L2, including rollups) are our primary focus. The browser extension allows you to interact with dApps by transparently proxying requests and responses through the desktop wallet. We support all major EVM standards: EIP-155, EIP-712, EIP-747, EIP-1193, and EIP-6963. We intentionally skipped EIP-2255 due to its low adoption rate.

This is diagram showing, how Soika Wallet interact with dApps with AirGap option. Also user can select different addresses from many connected wallets for every dApp instance.

And more importantly github (or similar) link?

Now work in progress, when RC version will be available, we publish code for AirGap application, AirGap protocol, web3 extension and part of desktop application (core, cryptographic, etc).

May be ultahost problems again. Domain and twitter registered and used by me from November 2022, it's can may be verified with whois history, or waybackmachine.

Thank you! More info and demos will be soon.

I thought PSBTs were the way to interact with Bitcoin. I guess I misunderstood how your product works. I thought Soika Wallet is installed on an airgapped system and acts as the signer that holds the keys and the companion app is installed on a mobile device and used to construct transactions, broadcast them, and perform all other needed online operations. If that's not the case, how is a bitcoin transaction created, signed, and broadcasted in an airgapped fashion using your software?

What about supported OSs? Does it work on Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, Mac?

1. Soika Wallet Desktop application is the online watch-and-build front end - it holds no seeds, selects UTXOs, builds the unsigned transaction, decodes it for display and broadcasts
2. Soika AirGap mobile application is the signer app, a dedicated offline mobile device (no network permission at all) is the signer that holds the seeds.

For a Bitcoin sending tx, the desktop derives one BIP-143 sighash preimage per input and passes them over the air-gap link (BLE, animated QR, or NFC) inside an encrypted, replay-protected envelope; the device independently recomputes each sighash from the preimage - it never accepts a digest from the desktop - shows the decoded transaction for on-device approval, and returns the ECDSA signatures, which the desktop verifies against the recomputed digests and public keys before finalizing the witness stack and broadcasting. We don't put PSBT on that wire because a single envelope has to cover every supported family uniformly (EVM, Bitcoin, Solana, TON, Sui, TRON), so per-input preimages are the common denominator; PSBT v0 + BIP-371 serialization is tracked separately for interoperability with third-party signers and Taproot, not as the carrier of our own signing flow.

Linux, Windows  firsts, then MacOS (with code signing).

Is it just a mobile application or a hardware device + a mobile application where the seed and signing keys are kept? Your website doesn't mention a separate hardware device but you do touch on it in the OP briefly. Tell us more about the device. Cost, technical specs, features? What's the target audience? Will it be available for shipping worldwide, etc.?

Since it's Icann they are the definitive answer to when it was registered last.
Did it expire? Not a big deal, since as you said wayback shows the site.

Just worth a mention for the paranoid people here.

Your website doesn't mention a separate hardware device but you do touch on it in the OP briefly. Tell us more about the device. Cost, technical specs, features? What's the target audience? Will it be available for shipping worldwide, etc.?

Soika AirGap (AirGap Vault) is an OSS vault application designed for mass-market offline devices, such as an Android (version 12+) smartphone without a SIM card, internet access, or Wi-Fi connections. We recommend using a Pixel device running GrapheneOS. The user is solely responsible for the physical security and storage of the device.

We believe that using a dedicated hardware wallet is impractical, as auditing the security and entropy metrics of the underlying hardware and its modules is extremely difficult for an end-user. Additionally, specialized devices attract the attention of malicious actors, corrupt law enforcement, and others, introducing an extra attack vector. A specialized device draws too much attention, whereas just another regular smartphone is of little interest to anyone. Another advantage of this approach is that it allows a larger number of users to adopt AirGap technologies without the need to purchase a dedicated device, verify its authenticity, or waste time and money again in case of loss or damage.

With a conscious approach from the user - understanding that the AirGap Vault must be used ONLY ON A DEDICATED OFFLINE DEVICE - this setup provides an optimal compromise between asset security and convenience.

In addition to keys, the application also stores all private information, address labels, private node addresses, configurations, etc.

All network operations are executed through the Soika Wallet Desktop application.

Users can also using wallets without the AirGap feature (e.g, for frequent transactions with small amounts); everything is fully customizable and configurable. When using the desktop application without AirGap, multiple layers of security and encryption are applied. This includes hardware binding of the crypto-container, TPM utilization, and protection against tracing, brute-forcing, debugging, memory scraping, etc. We will share more details on this closer to the release.

We considered using a different domain (in the .io zone), but we went back to the original one (.app). I don't see any pitfalls in changing the domain prior to release.

For example, the first name of the project was actually "Paranoid Wallet".

I believe that in today’s environment of cancel culture, hastily passed laws, and sanctions, on-chain data serves as the most appropriate SSOT (Single Source of Truth) for blockchain projects. This applies to both informing users and delivering updates via multisig-controlled contracts (or even better, having the build process for critical modules executed within a TEE enclave and initiated by a DAO).

So, we also have ENS for them: soikawallet.eth  and unstoppable domain soika.wallet  Grin

Currently, we have no external backers yet and are actively looking for partners, integration proposals, grants, and investments.
In that case, you might want to consider trying the following Bitcoin crowdfunding platform: Geyser
- BTW, what's the catch with the Pro variant that doesn't have any swap commissions? Is it a freemium model where you charge users something (e.g., a subscription or a one-time purchase)?
