Hi everyone,
We’ve recently opened applications for the
Eritrea Internet Gaming License, and we wanted to introduce the framework here as there are a number of casino operators, sportsbook operators, game providers and crypto gaming businesses active on BitcoinTalk.
Official website:
https://eritreagaming.com/Player Safety & Complaints
Before going into the licensing information, we want to make one thing very clear:
Player safety is one of the most important priorities of the Eritrean Gaming Commission and Eritrea Gaming.
We would like this BitcoinTalk thread to be used not only by operators and providers interested in licensing, but also by players who have questions, concerns or issues involving a company operating under an Eritrean Internet Gaming License.
If you are having an issue with an Eritrean licensed operator, you are welcome to raise it in this thread.
Where appropriate, we can:
• Confirm whether a casino, sportsbook or gaming business actually holds an active Eritrean licence
• Confirm whether the domain being used is an approved domain
• Help direct players to the correct complaints process
• Review concerns involving an Eritrean licensed operator
• Escalate potential regulatory or compliance issues where appropriate
• Identify websites falsely claiming to hold an Eritrean licence
Every legitimate Eritrean licence and approved domain is intended to be publicly verifiable through the official register.
Who can apply?
The framework is available for both
B2C operators and B2B gaming service providers, including:
• Online casinos
• Crypto casinos
• Sportsbooks
• Prediction markets
• Poker / bingo operators
• Game studios and game providers
• Casino platform / technology providers
• White-label technology providers
• Gaming software and API providers
Current licence costs
• €10,000 licence issuance
• €10,000 annual renewal
• €300 per additional approved domain / URL
• Indicative processing period of 10–15 days for a complete application
