Are you sure ripple is a stagnant asset for yours? It almost got to all-time high in the last bull run, and it decreased from $3.6 or so to $1 which is not a small drop, but better than many other coins. There is a chance that ripple can increase back, but I do not advise anyone to hold it for long term.

There is a chance that ripple can increase back, but I do not advise anyone to hold it for long term.

There is a possibility that it might increase again but I am not putting my money on it because it might repeat its history for being stuck for years.

And this time that it has dropped more than 60% from last year's pump, I wonder how long it will take for it to smell that level again.

What is the scientific reasoning behind this statement? as much as I don't like XRP, I don't think the addy and tag system going to overheat servers, it's not taking that much resource to begin with. The destination tag itself only taking up 4 byte and is not that big of a deal.

Although it is true that XRP is not that great of an investment, there is far better investment in cryptocurrency especially BTC because even the most recent bullrun XRP could only come close to ATH while bitcoin is doing 2x of the 2021 ATH, on the rare case that you are forced to invest in altcoin, plenty of better coins with better utilities beside XRP exists.

That's not new! Ever since XRP's introduction, it has never been used for anything real and it was never supposed to change. They have sold the protocol (Ripple) to many centralized entities including banks but their own coin (XRP) has always remained largely useless. The only utility XRP has had and will have is the same utility as the rest of the shitcoins: used for pump and dumps.
In other words it will remain a useless shitcoin but won't die as long as pump and dumps are taking place.

Stablecoins are much better at doing the things that XRP was supposedly made for. The entire supply was pre-mined. With an FDV of over $100 billion, its founders can slowly cash out over time and use a small amount of that money to keep this scam going. It will never have any significant adoption, but they are not going to just let it die either.

They will keep paying for partnerships to appear legitimate until the whole supply is unlocked. After that they might stop caring and let it go to zero. There is no reason for anybody to hold this as a serious long term investment.

There was a time ripple fell when this problem started on them, can't remember the time though, but it was heavy on them. Then during a good season, they bounced back and experienced ATH that time, you know then crypto market hasn't matured and every crypto were doing new numbers.

But comparing then and now, it's something that can't be predicted, the market has no emotions to your downfall, nothing gonna help a project unless you fight and win to stand back up.

You are right and I should have been clearer about what I meant by "centralized shitcoin".
It's basically any shitcoin that has a strong centralized entity behind it that has a good control over the protocol, the supply and the market.

Usually they also have a strong pumping team that manages the pump and dumps (and generally the market manipulation) which keeps the coin alive for a much longer time compared to regular shitcoins.

And most important of all, such centralized entities have a lot of money which allows them to perform all these things and keep the coin alive. Part of it is acquired from the pump and dumping of the coin, but usually it is acquired by selling the coin they print out of thin air which is true about XRP considering the company issued it all. But in other centralized shitcoins similar to XRP they usually do it through ICO and premine, like what Ethereum did with its 72 million premine.

Where did you read that the Bank of England abandoned XRP? As far as I'm aware, the BoE was never involved in XRP. What Ripple (XRP's parent company) did was establish partnerships with several mainstream banks. But that doesn't mean such banks are using XRP for payments or currency settlements.

From day one, XRP has been useless. It lacks real use cases compared to the rest of its peers. It's also one of the most (if not the most) centralized "cryptocurrencies" in existence. There are some sidechains aiming to bring smart contract features into XRP (like the Flare Network), but that hasn't been enough to gain the attention of the masses. I'd consider XLM as a better XRP alternative. But that's another subject. Only God knows what will happen with XRP in the future.
