I thought about something earlier and it got me thinking Psychologically, when you intentionally do something knowing the risk, can you consider that thing as a mistake when you lose?Basically folks often call a lost trade a mistake you can learn from, but I don't personally think it's a mistake. Though, in terms of conversation concerning crypto, it could be used. But still you can only consider something a mistake as a trader when you lost due to gambling with your capital in the market such as not following your risk management rules, FOMO buying, moving your stop loss, or trading without a strategy....

When it comes to real time strategy and analysis, perhaps intentions should be used. Even if you made a loss or you made a profit, it's best to say you knew what you were doing, you knew the risk, and you still took it. In trading a good decision can still end in a loss because the market is based on probability/possiblity not certainty. Judging a trade solely just by its outcome rather than the quality of your strategy is what they call resulting also known as a bias......

in my understanding,I think learning from past analysis would be much better than using the word learning from past mistakes. Because Viewing losses as expected probabilistic costs rather than personal mistakes helps you maintain emotional control and prevents you as a trader from revenge trading.
What do you think, folks?...

Losing a risks you took based on market conditions and volatility is in literal sense not a mistake.. but there are scenarios that make that a mistake and that’s if the risks itself is a mistake. Just as you’ve said it, when you make a mistake as a trader by going beyond your capacity and strategy then if you lost it’s a big mistake but if you end up winning then…

A mistake is defined by the trader himself, because you know when you intentional took an unreasonable risk that would probably become a mistake. So if you trade and stick with your strategy and you end up losing, I don’t think it’s a mistake so far your strategy itself is good and moreover trading is very risky.

If you identify patterns and develop your trading skills from your previous “experience” then you’d become a better trader than someone that consider he pass losses as “mistakes” because you know they’re bound to happen and you don’t stress yourself regretting about them rather you focus on extracting the lessons from them.

I understand the point you are trying to make and that is that someone can make correct analysis and something still go wrong, that way its not his fault neither is it a mistake.  In trading, it is believed that the market is always right whatever the outcome of the trade is, the only person who is wrong is the trader. Therefore, we should be able to learn from the past outcome of our trade and do much better.

Losses in trading can happen at anytime. The best solution against huge losses is to be using the amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade.

It important to know that the higher your short term goals the bigger the risks of losses.

Traders are not patient is the reason they are losing. I have seen some people saying this and it is true.

I thought about something earlier and it got me thinking Psychologically, when you intentionally do something knowing the risk, can you consider that thing as a mistake when you lose?Basically folks often call a lost trade a mistake you can learn from, but I don't personally think it's a mistake. But still you can only consider something a mistake as a trader when you lost due to gambling with your capital in the market such as not following your risk management rules, FOMO buying, moving your stop loss, or trading without a strategy....

I have heard many traders saying that they lost because of a mistake they made, they hardly admit that they lost a trade due to how the market works, you can't make profits all the time. What we call mistake should be something that we know how to do but did it the other way. Trading cryptos are very risky because you can burn a huge amount of money while trying to catch a trade that you thought that you will be profitable in it. Trading requires some skills and set of rules that if you follow, you can make profits but it should be understood that those market analysis do not work all the time so it is not a mistake but just normal.

What do you think, folks?...

To me, thats the main point. Viewing losses as what may likely occur is not deal rather than not expecting it and seen it as a mistake is one hell of problem. You know, when you know a thing and expects it anytime, you can easily create flexibility within to accomodate such happenings. Absorbing it becomes easier compared to when it seems new and unexpected, the shock is different.

There will certainly be loses in trading because the Bitcoin market is always on the move, and it's best for traders to always have the consciousness. This is why it is best to limit our trading amount to the money we can afford to lose so that we don't get to panic much because we were already prepared or was expecting it to happen anytime. Trade with what you can afford to lose.

At least market analysis might help you win more profit than losses if you understand risk management practices, capital management and emotional control.
Then the strategy one adopts becomes instinctual rather than forced which helps such trader navigate any market scenario and reduce mistakes.

There a couple of variables you actually have to consider if we are being honest. Losing in trading and holding in general is actually normal what's wrong is losing where you ought not to probably out of greed especially if it happens consecutively and repeatedly. When you analyse to place a trade the chances of a genuine mistake is pretty low.

Sometimes people just break their rules because of emotions and loses like that are mistakes from carelessness what you do ought to learn from them is discipline to avoid it happening over and over again.

What about people that trade and make money for some days or weeks and later in a short period of time, they lose the money? I have seen people saying this is very common. I saw it on X and there was a YouTube video of some Nigerians discussing about trading. That was the last question that was asked. Trading is beyond analyses.

You use this to answer my question, but most traders are not disciplined. In fact, they are after daily money which is not possible.

The thing is trading is actually a skill but literally almost all unsuccessful traders see it as a money making scheme which is why they actually remain unprofitable. Those loud guys you often see on platforms like X are there to pull greedy crowd into their whole fake mentoring scheme.

I've seen the quote " if you can't make money from Forex trading make money from the forex business" it's Also one of the major reasons the average Joe thinks trading is a scam because of flawed saturation.

If the trader is aware of the risk involved but willing to take chances then it's no mistake, after you made mentioned of something done deliberately which mean the person is ready for whatever is the outcome which shouldn't be considered a mistake, it's only when it's done blindly or wrongly that should be seen as a mistake, going into a trade with little understanding of the market for instance or doing it with money meant for essential needs, those are the things that should be seen as a mistake in trading.

Sometimes experience is the best teacher, but I would rather learn from peoples experience than letting it happen to me. When you took a trade you think that the chances of losing is very high, and the chances of winning is very low, that's basically gambling in form of trading, especially when you don't have any knowledge on how to trade the market.
One big mistake people do in trading is by trading with what they cannot afford to lose, but once you trade with what you can afford to lose, you will see that you can control your emotions with ease, than when you risk more than you can afford to lose.

I believe trading is a skill to some extent, but beyond some certain limit, it is just probability. Just like gambling, there is no guarantee you won't lose while trading even if you are very good at it. You can be an expert in trading yet loss your funds while trading. That's not a mistake, it is just a thing in nature called uncertainty and probability.

Until an event has occurred you can't know what will be the exact outcome, we just have to hope and rely on the analysis we got from past events but sometimes future events don't just work according to past events. That is why even an expert can lose at times. But I can't call that kind of lose a mistake, it was meant to be that way.

At first a losing trade can be a mistake . Despite the market uncertainty there are still strategy that will give you an edge in the market , so I do trade in the finance market . So sometimes I do make mistakes during my technical analysis, which a sign of not following your strategy fully . So sometimes it can be mistake from the traders while other time it can be just the market doing its thing , and beside losses is part of the game same goes for profits too .

What do you think, folks?...
Mistakes indeed will have an emotional attachment but seeing such as a data from a result then it helps in some sort of a ways but still there might be other emotional factor that affect it.

Analysis sometimes might fail but overall I can say that it more likely will be profitable yet sometimes a trader might be affected by constant failure maybe because of fear though it ought to have excel in the longer run.

Which ever way you decide to view trading as is acceptable, the most important thing to know about trading is how risky trading can be reason why you don’t get to decide your win or lose. Saying past analysis and mistake are two different event that happened as a result of the market movement is completely understandable, obviously our prediction has nothing to with being experience reason why past analysis can still fail.
From my perspective being emotional doesn’t necessary mean mistake or analysis, it’s completely normal for one to get emotional I mean trade is very risky just imagine losing everything as a result of the market fluctuation definitely such person will not want to know if mistake or past analysis is the cause or can be the solution rather the first thing they get emotional, for one to avoid emotions I believe they’ll need to understand trade first secondly trade with just little money viewing trading loss is a problem.

The best approach to any form of trading or bitcoin investment is supposed to be trading with what you can afford to lose at all time. There's no amount of mastering that a trader will be 100% sure that he won't loose money repeatedly. If you don't lose money today, you will lose tomorrow. Someone can mistakenly mis calculate and it will lead to losses while you have believed to have made the right trades.

No matter how well a person thinks he has learned trading, there comes a day that you won't be lucky and you will understand that trading has no absolute mastery of the act and your losses may come when you least expected it. Many have ephasized how irreplaceable the strategy of not investing more than you can be able lose because a trader knows he would lose one day.

in my understanding,I think learning from past analysis would be much better than using the word learning from past mistakes. Because Viewing losses as expected probabilistic costs rather than personal mistakes helps you maintain emotional control and prevents you as a trader from revenge trading.

I get what you're trying to say but at l times it's better to tell yourself the truth and when you can't handle the reality then you'll know your stand. There are mistakes in trading and those mistakes are what we learn from. We can learn from our personal mistakes or take lecturers from others but they're mistakes and nothing else.

You shouldn't be running always from mistakes because they carry along with them more lessons than any victory can give you. Majority of the time, it wasn't really your fault for the mistakes to happen but the market has other plans and there was nothing you could've done to prevent that particular outcome that's why having a good risk management is important.

In conclusion, it doesn't matters what names you give to what you do after failing a trade, what really matters is if you actually learnt your lesson or not because if you didn't then expect same lessons to repeat itself until you do.

Whether you consider eash loss as a mistake or you see it as what the market brings it's important you understand that losses are normal things in trading and even when you apply all your best strategies you could still end up losing money due to some situations that is beyond your control. In some cases where you apply your best trading analysis but still end up losing could be different outcome of the market which you can't say it's from your mistakes but so long as you understand that you will keep losing after getting all the best strategy it's just a normal thing you can't stop it .

There are several things that can happen which makes a trader end up losing and it's not always a mistake. A lot of times emotions can be the reason, a trader can be profitable and within the next minute all the profits made can be lost as a result of overtrading or greed. When the same thing keeps on repeating itself then that's not really a mistake.

Another reason why traders lose is because they trade using a high lot size all because they want to make huge profits or get rich from trading overnight and that's not really something that is possible to achieve easily if you trade with discipline, it is possible to be financially stable but not as rapid as people try to make it.
