From the trading perspective, a loss us really not a mistake. You were just wrong. The market gave all data that you need, and you made your analysis. So it means that you were intentional about it, that's why you took the risk. If it ends in a loss, it's on you, it means there is something you didn't do well, either your bias was wrong or your entry was wrong or something else, all these are not mistakes because they are as a result of your own careful analysis.

Losses in trading can happen at anytime. The best solution against huge losses is to be using the amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade.

It important to know that the higher your short term goals the bigger the risks of losses.

Traders are not patient is the reason they are losing. I have seen some people saying this and it is true.
Trading without the effectiveness of risk management is merely gambling in the market. This is not we come to the market to do because there are more good chances in the market, we should be able to dive our way back to the top and become independent and ambitious to know more features about the market. Been in the market is one thing and making constantly profits is a another thing. Our main objective shouldn't be just to make quick profits but what inspires me more is been consistently trading in the market and also counting profits both left and center, that's to tell you how determined and balance one can be in the market.

Talking about traders losing, patience is a virtue and when realized that market is not going in our direction, we exercise patience and wait for our signal to hit rather than rushing all in the market because we want what's best for us, common good things do take time and that's a fact.

What do you think, folks?...
When it comes to trading, if won't be considered as a mistake but a lesson you have to learn from. Why call it a mistake? What about the times you win? Would you still call it a mistake? Every trade you take, both wins or losses in one way or the other teaches you so many lessons and it's up to you to learn or not or just continue making same mistakes over again. Trading is still based on probability, every thing you do are not guaranteed to win or loss. But you have some reasons why you wish to take that trade and risk your money on it. You must have a good confluence for taking that trade and when all doesn't go as planned, you should call it a lesson not a mistake..

in my understanding,I think learning from past analysis would be much better than using the word learning from past mistakes. Because Viewing losses as expected probabilistic costs rather than personal mistakes helps you maintain emotional control and prevents you as a trader from revenge trading.
What do you think, folks?...
Calling a lost trade a mistake is technically not the right term to be used, because inasmuch as the proper analysis was done and everything carried out with respect to your risk management, then it should be best called unlucky, rather than calling it a mistake. Because the word mistake is supposed to be used it you had chosen something totally different while trading rather than what you initially planned to choose, or just like like calculating the perfect Entry and Exit for a trade, and then due to greed, you forgot to exit to exit at the right time and the market went opposite. Because inasmuch as you enter the trade at your calculated time and unfortunately lost. It can't be called a mistake, but rather an unlucky trade.

I think when you are using money for important needs like rent or food for trading is the most dangerous thing to do, because impatience plays a big role, some people just want to make that profit so fast which they even take bigger risks and enter trades without any proper plan. Sometimes the best decision is for you to wait for the right opportunity instead of forcing a trade.

I believe trading is a skill to some extent, but beyond some certain limit, it is just probability. Just like gambling, there is no guarantee you won't lose while trading even if you are very good at it. You can be an expert in trading yet loss your funds while trading. That's not a mistake, it is just a thing in nature called uncertainty and probability.

Until an event has occurred you can't know what will be the exact outcome, we just have to hope and rely on the analysis we got from past events but sometimes future events don't just work according to past events. That is why even an expert can lose at times. But I can't call that kind of lose a mistake, it was meant to be that way.
There is no way anyone can convince me that lossing in trading is a mistake, it was never a mistake rather it only shows how much your faith didn't match up with the reality of your expectations but however, I believe that those traders can tell themselves that their loss was a mistake as in form of consoling themselves of their lost, while in reality it was not a mistake. Using money that they can not afford to lose can be a mistake lol because they are not supposed to do that, but saying that their lost in trading was actually as a result of mistake is completely unacceptable, as no level of skills in trading can give a guarantee result to say they made a mistake simply because it didn't end well.

An investor who decide to trade will always find something to use as an excuse the moment they start experiencing losses and within us as an investors who knows how everything works when you eventually engage in trading, so if you actually come across any investor that do trade, you should not be surprised of any comments that might comes out from them because they always finding were to channel their blame to, rather tagging it as a mistake and any investors that choose to gamble around with his money equally knows that, from the time they engage themselves in trading instead of investing using your DCA strategy with your discretionary income, eligible to losing anytime.

What do you think, folks?...

It doesn’t matter the name you call it or what the trader feels to call it, what is most important in trading is that a trader learns from their trades, either good or bad once and try to capitalize on opportunities to maximize profits and minimize losses. Losses are part of the game and they’re part of the game and you can’t avoid them totally.

As a trader, you’re analyzing the market in order to get to understand them better, be able to predict their next move or trend in order to make you stand a very good chance when placing a trade. It doesn’t mean that all trade taken will hit a profit, or all trades that you take are not well analyzed. It is a market thing and you can’t avoid that loss totally but can minimize it.

I thought about something earlier and it got me thinking Psychologically, when you intentionally do something knowing the risk, can you consider that thing as a mistake when you lose?Basically folks often call a lost trade a mistake you can learn from, but I don't personally think it's a mistake. Though, in terms of conversation concerning crypto, it could be used. But still you can only consider something a mistake as a trader when you lost due to gambling with your capital in the market such as not following your risk management rules, FOMO buying, moving your stop loss, or trading without a strategy....
Trading itself is not a mistake. It's a well thought-out process where the outcome can either be a win or a loss. However, it does not mean traders cannot make mistakes. They do. For instance, a trader can make a mistake while trying to enter the amount he wishes to trade with or he an choose a wrong leverage. He might accidentally enter $1,000 instead of $100, or he might accidentally enter x75 leverage instead of x25.

You are right, people who I will say they made a mistake are people who has no idea or knowledge on what trading is and they went ahead to place a trade that is a mistake but if you have a knowledge of what trading is and you know how to analyze the market then losing won't be seen as a mistake but rather the trader is wrong due to late executtion or quick execution, a market shift or a break of structure. However, losing is already part of the game so we should not call it a mistake.

Trading is like a battle field if you aren't smart and fast in taking profit when you see one you can end up  losing part of your capital, and the factor that make people lose their trades after seeing profit is greed. So as trader you must eliminate greed if you want to succeed in trading. The reason why a trader will refer losing a trade to a mistake is when he or she failed to take a profit because he or she isn't satisfied with the profit his or her trade yielded out, and in the process of waiting for the profit to increase other traders took profits and dumped the coin or token making him or her to lose his or her trade.

A losing trade isn't always a mistake even though it can actually be but this is mostly caused by having a poor trading plan, not making use of risk management, overtrading, and greed. The problem a lot of traders have is that they continue to make the same mistakes because they don't learn from the previous ones that affected them. it is important that you should identify those areas that made you lose in your previous trades and find out ways to come up with a new strategy or approach to be able to improve, otherwise same thing will keep repeating itself.

What if you are not wrong and the market was manipulated? There is no trade that is accurate until you take it and it went as you expected. You can have the best trade set up and the market can move against you, not because you are wrong but perhaps the institution effect. There are days you can have a trade you waiting to hit your trailing profit, institution can step in and sell a massive block of coins, this can cause reversals to your trade but it does not mean you are wrong.

There is nothing wrong in having loss, you are not a wizard, that's normal but what is abnormal is when you make more loss than what you should make from trading. There are days that market may not favour you and there is nothing you can do to reverse it, likewise there are days you will make more than what you have loss if you are good in trading.

Achieving success through trading is not an easy way. Some people think that making money through trading is very easy, that they don't need to know much knowledge. They enter the market when the market is down and sell when the market is up. This makes it very easy to make money quickly.

I think their idea about trading is completely wrong, in order to succeed in trading with discipline, it is very important for a person to understand the volatility of the market, as well as apply strategies, and the important thing is to control one's greed. If a person cannot control greed, the risk of losing money increases, so first of all it is very important to gain proper knowledge about trading. In addition, it is better to start trading with money that you can afford to lose. This will keep the financial stress relatively low, thus increasing the chances of making money.

When a person signs up to trade they must always be ready to incur losses because it's actually part of the what trading is all about but as a strategic trader it is left for you to take measures that would cut down the losses that you incur. Losses can happen due to many factors and one of them is the market condition which is the trader has no control over but like I said applying risk management is the only thing that saves you from getting overly affected.

Losing a trade can also happen as a result of a traders greed and indiscipline, most traders tend to overtrade especially when they are losing a trade but this doesn't fix anything it only makes the damage even worse. Losses are inevitable but they can be controlled.

There are so many reasons why a trader can end up losing and it can be a mistake as well but there are some factors That also leads to this and one of them is when the trader has a poor strategy, without proper planning and execution there's no way you can actually get positive results from trading. Although losses are inevitable it doesn't meant that they cannot be contained and controlled. Another reason why a lot of traders end up losing large amount of is because they got too confident in their strategies but they forget how easy it is to lose in trading.

Nobody is above is mistake and regardless of how experience and expert yoyou will make mistake. Although, traders always try na find way to maximize their trading risk that is why when they are in the market trading they don't play and they are always very active and stop any distraction to avoid loosing their money

However, knowledge is the key to success and any trader who think he or she is trading but still don't have enough knowledge that person are type of trader I consider gambling with their money.

Trading is for people who can't wait to watch their Bitcoin investment grow so they choose to risk making quick profits out of it. Trading is profitable but very few people become wealthy through trading and that's because profit is gotten by chance. The mistake some people make is that they go into tradimg with the idea of a guaranteed profits.
Everything you just mentioned in your second statement is the opposite of tbe mistakes many people make in trading and if they're not applied, especially applying strategies that would help manage lose, then trader would suffer too many lose than gain.

That still doesn't make it a mistake because you still wouldn't know what will happen. The market is traded on probability, you just have to look for something that happens more often than not and trade it. Even if the market is manipulated, that doesn't mean you are correct. Manipulation is part of market strategy too. What do you think the ICT concept is about. It is factored into the strategy.. and when it comes to news, a lot of people will advise not to even bother trading them, will you still call it a mistake when you trade a news event you have been told not to and then you take a loss??

It is not uncommon to lose in trading, whether you are an experienced trader or a beginner, you will have to lose. I would rather suggest that you call this loss an investment rather than a mistake. Today you are gaining real experience in trading by losing. So to learn trading, you will have to lose and face mistakes. Because trading is very risky where there is a possibility of losing. In this case, you have to use as much money as you can afford to lose.

When someone is involved in that work or spends money despite knowing the certain loss, then we cannot call it a mistake, rather it is stupid. But when we take risks where there is an equal chance of winning and losing, then we can call losing a mistake from which we should learn. Analyze why you had to lose and try to avoid the mistake.
