I’m still holding!  Cool

In fact, I put my Bitcoin on fixed date staking on Binance the moment the price spike to stop myself for any impulse taking profit.
~snip~

Are you one of those who think CEX is safer than other storage methods? Some would probably agree with that given recent events, but you're not actually holding anything except the current ability to access your account on that CEX. For me, this approach makes no sense - CEX should be exclusively for trading, not storage.

I have my separate Bitcoin stash on my hardware wallet dedicated for long term investment.

What I’m pertaining here is my trading funds that I put on Bitcoin investments. This is my way on stopping myself to take profit immediately during the price pump because I knew the price will still pump further which truly happened.

This makes me not overthink anymore on selling my trading funds.

@Cointxz, that makes sense - it seemed to me that you were keeping everything on CEX. I personally don't trade, but I did once upon a time, so I know what kind of temptations there are. For now, the price is holding above $75k, and we'll see what the new week brings - I hope only positive things.

From the dip we experienced over the last few months, most of the dips I purchased were at the $61,000 level. It's more DCA, since even before, I was still able to buy at the $70,000 level; it just made my average price lower.
I'm happy that we are now above $70,000. I am still not selling; I am still planning to buy more on dips if we ever visit the $60,000 level again.

What I just want now is for Bitcoin to maintain the $70,000 level, 1 level at a time; even we will stay longer on $70,000 level, sideways, its fine.

It’s like a test of mental resilience for those who’ve decided to hold for the long term. Whether they’re strong or not, people who’ve made that decision will be put to the test in a market like the one we’ve seen lately. Usually, the weak-willed will change their minds by transferring their Bitcoin back from their wallets to an exchange to sell it, since they consider they’ve already made a profit.
Now take another look at the price chart. It’s starting to show a shift—will the line continue to extend like the upward trend we’ve seen, bringing smiles to the faces of those who’ve taken daily profits?
I’m still holding my position, and that hasn’t changed.

Are you still holding?

We are not traders so we are not satisfied with small profits, and we never think about selling Bitcoin. I prefer Bitcoin for the long term, that is why I buy Bitcoin on a regular basis, my portfolio is growing and I will sell my Bitcoin after a long time because according to the plan, when the Bitcoin price will touch an all-time high.
Because I have made my plan long-term, I never panic due to this temporary increase in the price of Bitcoin in the short term, but I focus on buying more Bitcoin.

Whenever I see Trump say something about Bitcoin, I know it's some kind of trick and his attempt at manipulation. Apart from his own profit, he has no special interest in Bitcoin and crypto.
I don't believe him even if he says it's currently summer.
With how Donald J. Trump talked about bitcoin during the presidential campaign of the United States of America I was thinking if he wins Biden he will support bitcoin and implement policies that will increase more mass adoption for bitcoin which will see bitcoin hit new all the time high, that will make people talk about bitcoin but after I have seen several tweets made by Trump just to manipulate the market for his own gain and his family has made me totally agree with you that Trump has no special interest in bitcoin.

Unless you enjoy or have skills with trading the swings in BTC movement it seems a poor time to sell.   Reason being BTC proves positive, gains after much doubt and fear of greater lows before 50k but sell now in the positives ?    Thats almost the wrong way round, surely it makes more sense to take heed of a negative price, the fears and sell at least some.

Its impossible to judge as risk allocation vs reward is a personal choice surely.  Selling into strength is a genuine strategy but that makes you a speculator who has to watch every day constantly.  Its far more common people have sold their BTC and failed to return to capture the main bulk of gains later, that's just human mistakes & that anyone would get distracted.

Truly understand what you are saying here, but many people truly expect that he became pro on Bitcoin. After he discuss and drop lots of promises during campaign period.

But unfortunately, he's actions actually seems like didn't show any genuine support for Bitcoin. Most of his actions and past statements seems like for short term only on which his circle is the one gaining the benefits.

So maybe its good to threat him not fully interested with the principle of Bitcoin. He only work with it because he knows he can benefit on both financially and also on political side.

The price just crossed 70k and still looking very bullish, bringing smiles to the faces of those who bought the dip and giving traders some early profits. It would be quite tempting to rush and take little profits of which lots of people cannot resist. This becomes a time that people might allow greed to deny them bigger profits in the long-run. We have learned from the history that Bitcoin is more profitable when held for long, this is because the profits are allowed to compound overtime leading to bigger and better rewards. When you take quick profits from your portfolio, you reduce the quantity of your stash, we need to remember that the bigger the stash, the bigger the possible profits on the long-run.
Traders and investors have completely different ways of making money. The two shouldn't be conflated.

It is a choice between a small profit now or a large one later - an eternal dilemma for all of us. I wonder, though: which of the two is "greedier"? Smiley The one who wants it now, or the one who wants it later - but in a larger amount? In both cases, it is a manifestation of greed. In the first case, it is impulsive, hasty, and foolish; in the second, calculated and intelligent.

Capping off profits from your portfolio can be temporarily satisfying, but a bigger profit in the long-term is more satisfying and is only obtainable of you can resist selling prematurely and keep holding, especially as the halving is around the corner and bull run is much likely to follow. The price wouldn't end at$70k, it might still retract a bit, but there's good chances it would recover more and more and make a new ATH. Patience is needed to get better profits from your Bitcoin investment.
I don't expect the "music to keep playing" for long, and I certainly don't view this as a bullish rally. Let's just call it a brief surge in demand - nothing more. Now is not the time to hit a new all-time high.

Did you take advantage of the dip?
You could put it that way. You could put it that way. Just as every participant in the sig.campaign receiving a weekly reward in bitcoin was, in essence, "took advantage of the dip".

Are you still holding?
So what do you suggest? Selling? Now? After we saw a bitcoin go for over 120k.?

Bitcoin volatilities have pave ways for market manipulations from big whales and political figures, like Trump who's actions and moves can attempt to influence price of bitcoin, but also even along that line, we start seeing some advantage that comes for both investors and traders.

Sometimes while the price rises, traders lose I meant to say future traders who may have opened opposite positions, but from position chart those opening bitcoin long were much higher in numbers to traders with opened short positions, so the profits came higher than the losses in liquidations.
