This osun state election is an eye opener to what the coming presidential election might look like. It seems the masses are getting wiser and repelling the evil hands of the enemies of the state. Osun people made the right decision in choosing competency over political manipulation and money launderers. This shows that when the masses are interested in democracy, things will take the right shape.

Being an incumbent governor has no serious impact in any person's governorship position since the coming of the APC government as we now see that they're pushing to take over all the states by all means to be able to retain power at the national level.

What makes this defeat more significant is the fact that Governor Adeleke defected to the Accord party from the People's Democratic Party last year and still won his seat back. Well in life there is nothing impossible, no one or party is indispensable, we have even experienced it some years back when APC through this same president Tinubu united and defeated the ruling PDP party in the presidential elections so we can’t say it is impossible, however, personally i don’t believe anyone nor party can defeat Tinubu yet from my analysis, first the opposition is not united, Obi, Atiku and others are scattered with complete division of purpose and their is no way that a house that is divided can stand let alone defeat a politician like Tinubu that have been a grassroot politician even before most Nigerians were born, Nigeria is not Osun state, for you to win election in Nigeria you must perform the following;

   2. For you to win you need a strong party structure, the opposition both ADC and NDC none of them have party structure, they lack governors, no senators etc who will monitor their vote to make them win.

You must also be politically rugged, this politics of speaking English that some of the opposition presidential candidates are doing won’t work in Nigeria, see how rugged governor Adeleke was during this election he granted a lot of press interviews, mobilized his grassroot boys, even his brother Davido came out with force, he also spent money.

He has even said something like that in one of his usual comic interviews that he has nothing in his hand but got the APC ticket and went on to "win" his "selection", talkless of now that he is in charge. He only completed that statement with the wave of the hand as if the forthcoming election na moimoi case. Truly, President Goodluck Jonathan chickened out because of the kind of person he is but Tinubu can't allow free and fair election. How I wish we had an existing democracy country that plays through democracy, all this wouldn't have been necessary because would have easily voted Tinubu out of seat, even as it seems like we did so in 2023, but they had there way to manipulate abd rigged there wat into office. I believe that of Osun state wasn't just the power of incumbency, so many things played out and made him return to office despite the strong opposition from APC federal power.

However, one of the major set back we will face in sending APC out of office is the separation and disagreement between Atiku and Obi. Each of them wants to lead,  and nobody wants to step down, and this will reduce the total support or opposition against the APC government next year at the national pools. This recent win by Adeleke will only keep the APC more ready and prepared, knowing that they can also be kicked out of office. So they will only reinforce the more to retain there seat. One thing wey we suppose know be say general election no be the same with an election that was held in just one state although all the strength of APC was in that state but the couldn't win perhaps because of how,  the peoples votes was protected from the beginning to the end, there was no chance for rigging, Davido did a good Job and his popularity helped his uncle in that election, the results were protected that was why all the results as it was, was uploaded from the polling unit to INEC Central server, and that made it very impossible for the results to be doctored, so there was nothing the announcer could do, since the result are already in the site already, honestly that election was very difficult to rig considering the fact that one of the powerful family in Osun and nigeria at large are directly involved.

The truth is that a lot of us already have the feelings that Tinubu will come back for second term but we are just being hopeful that the election should not be rigged so that the right candidate will emerge. In a free and fair election where votes are counted accordingly, i doubt if Tinubu can win an election because he only has the backings of Yoruba people just because the Yoruba people feels that it is the turn of a Yoruba man to rule the country so he should complete his second term but they are not looking at the consequences that will result from their action. This is not a question of whether a new party candidate will win the election or not, what we want is a credible election. I suspect that 2027 general elections will be different and votes will actually count because for INEC website to be making it difficult for eligible voters to register for voters card could mean that they know that if more people are able to get their PVCs, it will pose a problem for them to rig the election.

Adeleke words of supporting Tinubu is what breaks me into pieces. I don't know what to say again because he wants to support Tinubu for the free and fair election conducted in Osun, that makes him to be the governor of Osun.

The upcoming election of the president, everyone has to come out massively to vote and defend their votes because from the look of things the governor of each states wants to work and deliver Tinubu to be the president of Nigeria.

There is nothing we can do to stop Tinubu to go for second tenure, Osun state governor won election does not mean that the other state APC will not win, there are many things we don’t understand about the Osuna state election, APC had the right to win the election if Tinubu want to make APC win the election but INEC allowed free and fair elections and make sure the chosen candidate win the election, before we celebrate and think that we can do it by voting another candidate so that Tinubu will not win, we should remember that APC is still in power and they can do anything.

After Governor Adeleke won the election, he stated that he is supporting Tinubu because he is the reason why he won the election, and that also creates some problems, because people are angry with him for saying that, people don’t want to vote APC but the person that won the election and they want to use as an example is now in support of APC. If we have to be honest with ourselves, we all know that we can not do anything or stop Tinubu for the second tenure, many presidents have done there own and with the way the system is corrupt, we have nothing to do, just vote for your favorite candidate and know that you try your best, but don’t be surprised by the result.
