Trêvoid's Middleman Service

Need a secure middleman for your transactions?
I offer reliable escrow services for all cryptocurrency-related trades, both on and off this forum.
Ensure your peace of mind and protect your assets by using a trusted intermediary.

Why Choose My Service?

Experience & Reputation, I have extensive experience facilitating cryptocurrency swaps and have built a loyal client base. While other reputable escrow services exist on Bitcointalk, I offer a unique set of terms and rules to better accommodate your specific needs.

Availability:

I offer near instant response times. I am online and available to conduct business for at least 12+ hours per day.

Transparent Communication:

All transactions are conducted via group chat, ensuring both parties remain fully informed throughout the process.

Security:

I utilize encrypted and secure communication channels to protect your privacy and transaction details.

Frozen Terms

Once the initial deal terms are documented in the group chat, any subsequent change must require explicit, authenticated re-confirmation from both parties.

Authentication
For large trades, I will require the use of PGP signatures or secondary verification methods to ensure that the person communicating in the group chat is the same person who initiated the trade, mitigating the risk of account takeovers.

Scope of Service:

I act as a neutral escrow agent for cryptocurrency transactions. Please note that I only hold the cryptocurrency assets; I do not inspect, verify, or guarantee the quality of physical or digital goods. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify the item before confirming the transaction. Goods are not physically inspected by me, I, Trêvoid act only as a neutral vault for payment, and cannot be held liable for the physical quality or contents of the parcel.

Release of Funds:
Once the buyer confirms the receipt and satisfaction of the item, I will promptly release the funds to the seller.

Dispute Resolution:

In the event of a disagreement, I will work closely with both parties to reach a fair and equitable resolution. If a mutual agreement cannot be reached, I will open a public thread to solicit feedback and guidance from the community to ensure a transparent and fair outcome. Note, I am the final decision-maker for all transactions I oversee.

Monetary methods allowed:

BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, LTC MWEB, Shielded ZEC, XMR, DASH, SOL etc. Only cryptocurrency.

The fees are simple and easy to understand.
100 USD to 500 USD = 12$ Flat
500 USD to 1k USD = 23$ Flat
Anything over 1,000 USD is 2.5% of the transacted amount.

Always verify my identity directly onsite before engaging. Beware of impersonators! I don't have a telegram account. I only have SimpleX. I will never refuse to send you a PM in bitcointalk. If I refuses to do so, consider it a red flag and suspect a scam.

I do not inspect, verify, or guarantee the quality of physical or digital goods. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify the item before confirming the transaction.
Scenario: B(uyer) buys a gold bar from S(eller). B pays to your escrow address, S sends a package, B says he received a brick.
S sends you a video of packing a gold bar. B sends you a video of unpacking a brick. What are you going to do?

As a (paid) escrow agent, you shouldn't rely on the community to come to a ruling.

Have you read Best practices for Bitcointalk escrow providers? There are so many pitfalls if you escrow physical items without inspecting them by yourself.

Thank you for the critique, LoyceV.

These are valid points that every serious escrow provider should consider. Let me address them one by one:

1. The 'Gold Bar' Scenario (Physical Inspection) You are absolutely right: if I do not handle the goods, I cannot verify them. In the scenario you described, my position is that I am a payment escrow, not a logistics escrow. My role is to hold the funds, not to arbitrate the physical nature of the goods. If I were involved in a dispute where both sides provide conflicting video evidence, I would acknowledge my lack of physical oversight. In such a stalemate, I would likely advise both parties to reach a mutual settlement. If they cannot, I would be forced to return the funds to the buyer (minus fees) if the seller cannot provide irrefutable proof that the correct item was shipped.

I recognize this isn't perfect, which is why I am considering explicit language in my TOS that states: 'Goods are not physically inspected by the escrow, the escrow agent acts only as a neutral vault for payment, and cannot be held liable for the physical quality or contents of the parcel.'

2. I do not intend to use the community as a crutch for indecision.

My mention of a public middleman service thread was intended as an 'appeals' mechanism or a way to ensure transparency in extreme, unprecedented cases. However, I agree that a professional provider should lead with their own judgment. I will update my protocols to reflect that I am the final decision-maker for all transactions I oversee.

I am familiar with the community-standard best practices, though I acknowledge that there is always room to improve. Your point about the risks of physical items is well-taken. To mitigate this, I am currently reviewing my internal 'rulebook'. I am committed to evolving my process to ensure users are protected to the fullest extent of my capabilities.

I am a payment escrow, not a logistics escrow.
You should team up with someone who escrows the logistics Wink The biggest risk is a scammer that uses an escrow to inspire confidence, while the scammer is more advanced than what the escrow's verifications can handle.
