Do we have any idea how much these casinos are making?

Here are some figures for this year from this Crypto Casino Market Report.

Some of these casinos are probably already familiar to us because they have ANN threads here in the forum, and some even have active signature campaigns. Looking at that huge volume, its really not surprising that they can afford to spend a lot on advertising, and probably one reason why some campaigns can run for a long time.

Now just speaking hypothetically, since they offer different games including sports betting, lets say they somehow make around 3% from that volume. For Q2 alone that would be around:

1. Stake - $153 million
2. Roobet - $35 million

Of course thats only an assumption because deposit volume is not the same as their actual profit, but what Im trying to say is that the gambling industry is really huge, and in some way we are also part of that growth since these casinos advertise here and we are among the people supporting and using them.

This is just data casinos are willing to share with general audience though I doubt very much this is a definitive number, in my opinion every casino listed here makes much more than the numbers provided. I have seen people use crazy amounts and most gamblers do not care how much money they are throwing at the casino, lots of money burned and based on the number of players each casino has it is normal for me to think that the number will be much higher.

I know all these gambling sites through this forum. All of them, not some. But I do not know if BC.game, Gandom and Winna still have active announcement threads on this forum, but probably. The remaining ones that you mentioned does not only have active announcement threads, but they also have signature campaigns on this forum right now.

The most important thing is that deposit volume does not mean betting handle. And betting handle, GGR will not calculate actual profit. Your report also clearly states that $5.11B Stake and $1.18B Roobet in Q2 are on-chain deposits. Since the same funds are wagered repeatedly, there must be a multiple of actual handle deposits, this is what happens in casinos. I read your report there too, it says that if you wager a $1,000 deposit 50 times, you create a $50,000 handle. So if you say that Stake's revenue is $153M at 3% of the deposit, it is not correct.

1. Stake - $153 million
2. Roobet - $35 million

I’m sure they’re making much more than these figures suggest. Stake’s deals with Drake alone must be costing tens of millions of dollars. Considering that sports betting accounts for a large portion of these casinos’ revenue, it must be quite profitable.

Moreover, gambling isn’t limited to just the casinos here. In some countries, these sites don’t even exist. I read that the global gambling industry is worth over $600 billion.

And these figures are not actually what the casinos are making since they don’t give out such information. From the data published by the op, what they listed is the total deposit that went into the casino through crypto and not the actual revenue they made during that period since they don’t disclose that to the public.

but in most cases most of those millions you are talking about being wagered by one single person can also go down to pay the winnings of other players, and the actual revenue might be much lower compared to the deposit volume recorded.

But there are other relevant data that can also be used for analysis. Do we know the actual betting volume of a casino, and if they make that public, can we really verify that the numbers are reliable? Those are questions that are much harder to answer.

With crypto casinos though, I think there is at least some basis for making an estimate because some wallet activity can be tracked publicly. When gamblers deposit funds, we can assume a big part of that will eventually be used for betting, so deposit volume can give us an idea of how much activity the casino has.

Of course its still only an estimate, but overall casinos are making profit from all that betting volume in the long run.

This is where the data is coming ..

All figures below are sourced from Tanzanite.xyz onchain deposit tracking across 41 centralized crypto casinos unless otherwise noted. Data covers April through June 2026.

I guess deposit volume is still a good basis to estimate how profitable a casino can be, of course there are winners and losers, but the reality is the majority will lose in the long run, so the casino still ends up in profit.

I think 3% is even a conservative estimate, especially if we also consider sportsbook margins and other games they offer, so for me that figure could still be close to reality in showing how big these casinos really are. And with Stake being number one in that report, I dont think theres much debate about that.

There’s no way to determine casino profit using deposits volume or even wager volume since we can’t calculate what’s their profit margin and what’s their PnL on those data.

However, some investment companies that backing this big casino like Stake release their financial report that includes their profit. Although we can’t determine the specific profit percentage from the casino but still it gives a figure on how huge the casino earning.

I use chatgpt to search for this companies like Easygo that backed Stake.com. They earn last year 250M$ while their earning is just a piece of Stake total profit.

This is really massive, and to even imagine that this may not be the real digits compared to there gains or output within such period. These are active sites here in the forum, with majority of them having signature campaigns. Getting more people to advertise there brand online simply shows more identity and more popularity which brings them more active participants. They are really making profits on daily basics. No wonder they can go on and on in improving there adverts.

Owing a casino or gambling platform is actually a lucrative business, these casino platforms have really made huge amount of money both daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, and this is the more reason you see many gambling or casino sites coming up every now, and then. It also important to know that not all these casinos listed here are good, while some of these casinos are here to render good services to it's users, some are only interested on the huge money they are making from gamblers, and not to render good services to it's users.
Opening a casino company is good because good profit can be made from it, but it should be on a genuine intention which is to serve gamblers with good purpose, and don't open casino company only because of the money you will make from it.

Of course its still only an estimate, but overall casinos are making profit from all that betting volume in the long run.

I agree with your clarification. It is not possible to find out exact betting handle or profit of any centralized casino using public blockchain data. But deposit volume is not completely useless metric either. Rather I would view it as activity indicator. Not as revenue/profit indicator.

My objection is actually here, if we say that how active any casino is can be estimated from deposit volume, then I agree. But then putting 3% of the deposit directly as revenue/profit will make big methodological jump in calculation. Because if I wager my same $1000 repeatedly, my deposit will remain $1000. But it is not impossible to have a handle of $50000.

I use chatgpt to search for this companies like Easygo that backed Stake.com. They earn last year 250M$ while their earning is just a piece of Stake total profit.

We can actually use that as a basis to estimate how profitable Stake might be, since they dont disclose the actual figures we cannot know for sure, but looking at that volume, I would not be surprised if they are already making billions in revenue for the whole year.

Even when it comes to net profit, I think the amount could still be very huge, Stake is clearly a very rich company and they have managed the competition well enough to remain one of the biggest crypto casinos until now.

Without payouts information in first post is useless. I also find it wrong to evaluate any company by number of money they get. Some companies always end financial year with a loss in bookkeeping records, because they have huge debtors. Some companies have such specific of business, that they always are in debt, but they cover all their expenses with upcoming money. Even though number in first post are only numbers, gambling industry, its giants, were always profitable companies, even with huge payouts.

The most interesting point here for me is whale concentration. 24.5% of Stake's Q2 deposits came from the $1M+ deposit bucket. And in the case of Roobet, $100K+ deposits are still about 49.2% of volume. That mean you have to look at their revenue as well as liquidity, VIP concentration, bonuses, affiliate costs, payment costs, game-provider fees, taxes and withdrawals.

And yes, a portion of this huge volume goes back into our forum's advertising ecosystem Grin. Through signature campaigns, games & rounds, affiliates, etc.

I agree with your clarification. It is not possible to find out exact betting handle or profit of any centralized casino using public blockchain data. But deposit volume is not completely useless metric either. Rather I would view it as activity indicator. Not as revenue/profit indicator.
if that is your point, i will respect that.  Smiley

Wagers here are not really what Im trying to use, I would rather use the original source of the wager which is the deposit, lets just not make it too complicated.

For example, one bettor deposits $1k and manages to wager $100k before eventually losing that $1k, another deposits $2k, also wagers $100k and eventually loses the $2k. In the end their total loss is $3k, which is also the total amount they deposited.

Of course not every bettor will lose, thats why for a simple estimate I would just use something like a 3% margin from the total deposits, it may not be exact but at least it gives us a rough idea of the possible gross profit of the casino.

Without payouts information in first post is useless.

please share what is useful to correctly estimate their profit.

Some of these casinos are probably already familiar to us because they have ANN threads here in the forum, and some even have active signature campaigns. Looking at that huge volume, its really not surprising that they can afford to spend a lot on advertising, and probably one reason why some campaigns can run for a long time.
It is probably because of the huge amounts they spend on advertising and marketing; hence, the reason why they have huge profits at the end of a financial season. Gambling companies that have invested heavily in marketing are usually the ones who reap this sort of reward in profits.

It is possible that the profit margin of the aforementioned casinos will drop as other new casinos start investing heavily in marketing and advertising too, because the customers who generate these profits for the casinos will now be shared. My thought!

This is probably the biggest reason, because most casinos offer almost the same games, but the ones with better advertising are the ones that reach more people and build a good reputation over time.

Advertising here in the forum is probably one of the biggest examples, its not cheap to run a campaign here, but some casinos stay for a long time, so they must be getting positive results thats why they are willing to keep spending.

That's how important marketing is, even if you have enough budget to run a casino, without a proper budget for marketing, there's a big chance the business will fail.

Interesting estimates and interesting the process they used for counting these numbers.
Even if in a part of this report they estimates: from 200 millions to 81 billions (!!!) in 2024. This is a very raw count... Roll Eyes

I am surprised they have tracked these deposits - are these the numbers of money gambled online every quarter?
Ok this is just a portion since these are deposits but it shows clearly how this business is profitable.
It seems they are voluntary excluding... bitcoin from this count L1 (they are counting WBTC in ETH network)...

If you are considering a casino as a business opportunity, then it makes sense to understand all the details of how the industry works and how profits can potentially be made. However, in that case, it would be better to find a network of people or a mentor who already has experience in this field. Trying to enter this industry completely on your own seems very risky to me. But simply calculating someone else’s profits out of curiosity doesn’t really make much sense. The most important thing a player can get from using a casino’s services is the possibility of winning, the emotions and excitement, or the satisfaction of other personal needs.
