Blackrock is into business and wouldn't hold those bitcoin till the bull run if they see a good pump in price because they're after making profit and nothing more. Nobody knows if this is a bull trap so, let's not get excited yet but patiently watch the next movement of the buy. I am still DCAing.

I think currently those who invest in Bitcoin are definitely focused on profits. Whether from individuals or certain institutions, they surely think about ways to protect the value of their money and, of course, to seek profit. They definitely set price targets to make a profit.

I think this is not a trap because before Such a trap came but now the price of Bitcoin can be there now because the reason is enough in front of us if you look at the world, those things that used to affect Bitcoin have decreased. Whenever I have invested in Bitcoin, I have not worried about the price because I have to invest a little bit again and again, so I do not worry about these things. We should not think too much for such an investment in Bitcoin because the way I and other people invest is based on profit. At this time, many people have increased for profit because earlier the price was less than $20k but now it has become good and of course, going above 20k $ is no less than a trap. Still, some people will take their profit while looking at this price because they are afraid that the price will decrease.

But to us, how long have we been holding? whatever they say about their bullishness or bearishness towards Bitcoin, we'll continue to hold and there's no one that's going to change our minds by having it. Historically this is still a bearish year and the current market trend can be considered to be a bullish trap instead of bull run because it’s still very early to call it a bull run because the buyers are not in that strong hold of the market to suggest that it’s a bull trap. Personally I will say that this is just a shake off after a long bearish run and this particular market actually goes for liquidity which is much in a long trades, I think once it clears the liquidity most especially those around the $80k price tag I think it will simply head come down again. But all this are not so much a concern for a long term investor who has a target because they simply just need to hold until there target triggers and with bitcoin no matter the bearish period there will be highs which will likely hit there target most especially if the target is a realistic one.

When you look at the history of Bitcoin, you'll understand that the 50% dump below the ATH was surely going to be a temporary action of the market so yes, Bitcoin price will surely appreciate over time.

When you look at the correct chart like the one that's attached to @BlackBoss_ post , it gives you good perspective of Bitcoin's volatility but to someone new to Bitcoin,  a 30-50% drop can look very frightening. In the past, we've witnessed similar corrections but they still recovered.

This however does not mean that Bitcoin's future is guaranteed but it show why long-term conviction actually matters.

It is Investors that have little understanding of Bitcoin or that invested more than they can afford to lose that mostly panic when the market is seriously down, because if you invest only what you can afford to lose and you are only looking at the bigger picture of Bitcoin, and how it may rise to in the future, you are not going to get yourself worried over short term price fluctuation.
So if anyone sells in panic because Bitcoin fell by 50% in the past months, it's because he invested what he cannot afford to lose or he is not convinced that Bitcoin can recover on the longer run, so should that bothers me? No.
Because everyone is entitled to do what ever they want with their holdings.

As EL MOHA pointed out below, historically, this looks more like a trap. And this isn't even the first time Bitcoin has returned to $80k this year. It did the same thing two month ago while the war in the Middle East was still going on. At the time, while everyone was excitedly predicting even higher price, Bitcoin suddenly dropped and made a new low.

So don't get complacent or let your guard down just because of what's happening right now.

I would assume that a bull trap seems more likely for now, but of course we can never know; we are just making assumptions. Doesn't mean that we are going to have the answers ready for sure; we could be right, or we could be wrong; we have no idea. The mentality is important, and right now most people are still scared, because let's face it, the majority of the world missed this increase; nobody saw it coming, and it was an unexpected one, so of course people are waiting for it to go down again. I am one of those people as well; I am still expecting it to go down even more, and I think it will happen.

We just need to make sure that we are ready for it when the time comes. I think in a month or two we are going to see the prices going down yet again. This is mainly because in 2022 we had a month that was good too, but in general we were doing very badly, so people are assuming it would be the same. I think that it would just go down overall if we wait a month or so as well.

What I like about Bitcoin is that it is a store of value and if you're an investor that plans to hold for a very long term you should be deaf to all the noise about traps and whatnot, your goal is to keep buying and looking beyond the current market sentiments at every point. If you still have the believe that Bitcoin has potentials to always reach ATH I think that is quite enough to keep your mind at rest. We have to understand that Bitcoin is a volatile asset which must dip before it can skyrocket and become bullish so what I look forward to is when this bear run will pass and usher us into bull run no matter how long it takes. Our mindset should be to accumulate as much as we can before a new ATH which we don't know when it can happen but we are quite certain that it will at some point, meanwhile analysts are free to keep speculating.

Whatever decision they take is best for them, it's in everyone hands to the right or wrong choice of investment, that's why we're in charge of our own wallets, but no one should expect that BlackRock would've dumped after Bitcoin dipped 50% from the ATH, what example would they be leaving as one of the biggest holders.
 Even if they dumped it would only be some portions like some institutions did before they started buying back. The legacy of institutions like BlackRock has always been hold hold hold so we should expect from positive than negative news about them concerning buying and holding.

We all know that Bitcoin is very volatile in nature which means it can sharply go up or down in price. Today Bitcoin is even becoming more less volatile compared before, there were times when Bitcoin was dipping down to -80% and more, but still some investors were able to endure it, and still held it, and this is common during the bear market. Now because of how confident investors are about the price recovery of Bitcoin even after price crash, the real investors still hold it strongly even when the price of Bitcoin goes down drastically instead they buy more instead of selling. It's a normal behaviour from newbies to panic but we can see the importance of research here. They are new but the chart is not new. It's verifiable, anyone can check the price history and see how many times similar things have happened in the past but we somehow recovered.

The drop is a normal correction and it can happen even during the bull market. Of course, the experience feels different if you haven't experienced it before but if you have to panic selling during this period, I would assume you don't have conviction over the asset you invest in.

Usually this year will be still bearish and the bear market will not end too early like this but if another history is made, we know what to do. Historically ,  major ATHs has been followed by significant correction. Yet over the previous cycles , Bitcoin eventually went on to establish new highs . That why a lot folks usually recommend going in for longterm rather than for short term movements.

Many are panicking now cause they bought the top . While those that understood the technology they’re involved in will keep chill while they find means to fill up their bag with more sats . Yes the forum is a great resource if you are willing to put in the time to investigate what you need to
find out and learn about historical market events. If they did that there would be less panic, FUD and
FOMO.
