While it's perfectly fine for minors to be involved in Bitcoin, education should take precedence over investment. The most important thing they can learn at an early age is about Bitcoin, wallets, private keys, security, and the market. Another concern may be that exchanges have age requirements for purchasing Bitcoin directly, so parental involvement is important. It is more important that minors aren't encouraged to get rich quick or that Bitcoin is an easy get-rich scheme. When parents decide to invest for them, they can get them ready for the future by teaching them how to manage and protect their investments. When they are able to make their own money they can make their own decisions and not follow the hype.
Any job requires education to ensure a smooth journey. The same is true for investing, where everyone should first receive education, such as learning from those who have mastered Bitcoin or from their parents if they are already familiar with Bitcoin and investment. Age can be a limitation, although it's not a serious barrier for anyone. However, initial learning is still essential because all jobs carry risks these days, especially those that directly involve money as initial capital, such as investments. Therefore, education cannot be ignored, even if parents are willing to teach, because it requires gradual steps, especially if the person being taught is a minor.

I don't think there is any doubt that education should be given first priority. Particularly in the case of children. While it may be a fine opportunity for many to discover about money and technology and wallets and private keys and financial responsibility. They must be taught not that Bitcoin is a get rich scheme. The key to helping them understand potential and risk lies in the guidance and understanding they can receive from their parents. But some age restrictions are also worth keeping in mind. And sometimes parents will need to step in if they wish to purchase or keep Bitcoin. I think it's more important to learn how to save money and not be scammed at that age then making money. They will be able to decide what to do when they are adults. With much better knowledge of Bitcoin.

Minors can involved in Bitcoin with a guidance from their parents so they can teach easy things for first until children understand and can learn the next. If they are grow up and becomes teenager, parents can starts another lesson to them so they can receives more information about Bitcoin.

They know how to use Bitcoin with the right especially protect their wallet and others. If parents know trading, they can teach their children to trade but parents needs to teach controlling emotion in trading because this can interfere their emotion.

If a minor understands fiat and understand why bitcoin is important then i dont think this should be a thing to debate for. If it is a minor that doesn't understand bitcoin then i will say Bitcoin is not for a minor with that level of understanding and if it is a minor that understand how things work then they are free to have Bitcoin.  We shouldn’t generalise as if all minors are the same.  Their are smart minors who are into technology and even the technical of bitcoin. But as fir minors who haven't developed the level of understanding to handle bitcoin parents should not force them. Parents should watch the level of understanding of their kids first before making plans to introduce them to bitcoin.

The only thing that I will stop a minor from is gambling, either illegal or not I don't care, a minor can't set things straight as a minor, they will easily get brainwashed if they are exposed to gambling, but if it's Bitcoin it's a place where a minor can be if they want, just don't force them, I believe that minors are the ones that should be exploring Bitcoin right now, because the future lies on their shoulders, I will like to teach a minor about Bitcoin, I am excited to teach my son when he grows to that understanding stage, I still believe that Bitcoin has a long way to go, even Blockchain as a whole, who will we pass all we know to if not the minors?

This isn't even a question because the answer is very obvious, can a minor understand Bitcoin? Yes, yes and yes.

They can start learning and understanding how Bitcoin works, although they will probably be limited on the financial side since most minors don't have a stable source of income, unless they can find opportunities online that allow them to earn some Bitcoin.

Here's a true story, I know someone who was still a minor and started earning crypto, including Bitcoin, way back around 2016. He was even able to help his parents build a house, that alone already proves what's possible.

There's nothing that prevents minors from using Bitcoin. This has already been discussed before. The problem is that most minors use Bitcoin irresponsibly. Like they use their parents' money to invest in Bitcoin, and then lose it all due to scams or market volatility. Since Bitcoin mimics cash, minors can use BTC anywhere without going through KYC. Except centralized exchanges, of course. Some gambling sites are KYC-free, allowing minors to place their bets using BTC.

A minor using Bitcoin responsibly, could be off to a good start. He/she can start stacking sats now to build a nice nest egg in the future. Perhaps, it may be a good idea to bring more minors into Bitcoin. Great for its long-term adoption, imo.

Everyone can be involved in investing into Bitcoin but the only difference is that for minors, they need guidance from their parents to help manage their investments for their. You should not expect a minor to be protecting their wallets when they do not have the ability to do that, you can help them to buy Bitcoin, set up a wallet for them but do not give them control to avoid misplacing that wallet seed phrase. It is a good thing to get involved in the market early as it gives them an advantage to have been able to practice for a longer period and this teaches them patience, which is good for them to understand what benefits you get from holding Bitcoin.

While Bitcoin can provide kids with many valuable lessons to learn about saving. Technology ownership and financial responsibility. Children may not fully appreciate the consequences of losing a seed phrase or making investment decisions based upon their emotions. Explain both opportunities and risks. Parents can allow the child to learn slowly. Early exposure can be helpful but as a technology and long term investment. Not a get rich scheme.

When it comes to investing in bitcoin young people can get involved in it, there are parents that teach their kids about bitcoin and they simply do this because they want them to understand it easily when they grow up, that's the whole point of introducing it to them at such an early age. whether we like it or not bitcoin is something that kids cannot understand because that's not what their brain is supposed to be focused on at that phase of their life, introducing it to them can certainly give them an advantage to learn it easily as they get older because they are going to get more used to it.
what they shouldn't get involved in is the investment, there is no way we can trust kids to make smart choices with money because they are not psychologically built to do that at that age.

Source Image: Tiktok
This is very likely to happen, even in my country. It all depends on the parents who are with them. If the parents want it, then it can happen; if not, then it won’t. There are a lot of TikTok media in my country posting videos of kids doing trading. I don't fully understand it, but it seems like it’s an activity similar to what we’re discussing here. Bitcoin never asks for your age or identity, so as long as there are no legal regulations, it can happen. But if you look at it from a mental standpoint, kids really aren’t ready for dealing with Blockchain and Bitcoin Trading.

I agree with you, it depends on parents, not all parents will allow their kids to learn about bitcoin because they believe that they are not intelligent enough to understand, some parents will prefer going to school and study than doing that in young age, most of countries will not allow it because some parents value education more than looking for a way to make money at such young age.

In my country, no parents will do  that, because even education sometimes become a problem, many of us have grown up before we know about bitcoin, it will be a good idea for every parent to teach their kids about bitcoin, most especially the parents who know about bitcoin, because we don’t know what the future holds, we can’t rely depend on education without not knowing about how to earn money from another way, some will have money without knowing how to manage it, but with the help of bitcoin they can become a successful person in the future.

Minors getting involved in bitcoin shouldn’t be a problem at all on a civil grounds. It only becomes a problem when the reasons for involving them into bitcoin violate the rules that restrict the minors. If a parent decides to teach his child about bitcoin at an early age because they think it’s the best idea for them, that should be absolutely fine. Because I believe the minor will have a direction without being victimised by the bad people hiding around bitcoin, or use the bitcoin for the wrong activities such as gambling which is prohibited for the minor, and I believe the investment will probably be funded by the parent because how does a minor build their portfolio if they do not have any source of income?

But it’s definitely a great idea to introduce the minors to bitcoin as early as possible, if we look at the advantages around it, it’s far more than the disadvantages. As the world evolves that’s how the system evolves and it’s timing that matters most times when you want to gets involve in a new system.

In some developing countries I have never seen minors already involved with bitcoin, but from what I have watched like Western countries or from some fleeting footage already many minors involved even know how bitcoin works. Perhaps due to the influence of their modern parents, the environment, financial literacy, who are culturally aware of technological progress. While in a country that is still minimal, there are not many children who can be found who really understand the benefits of holding and investing in bitcoin.

I'm okay with minors learning about bitcoin. But they should be introduced to it first since they should not be under the control of funds without proper instruction.
If the main purpose is to provide the kids with valuable lessons such as learning how to save or about being financially responsible, there are other ways to simply provide those values without making them introduced as at early age. Such valuable lesson can be developed by teaching them to understand the basic money management, this way, saving and even budgeting can be absorbed by them. Also, minors do not have the maturity to understand the risks of losing funds and making emotional decisions, they might only fall for scams in the long run.

But all in all, it depends on the parents whether they will let the child to learn about Bitcoin. As you have said, parents may choose to introduce it to provide valuable lessons, simply using it as an educational tool to share their knowledge.

Yes, the knowledge of Bitcoin is for everyone including minors, they can understand the use of Bitcoin for different purposes especially financial freedom then start investing when they're of age to work and earn. The knowledge of Bitcoin at an early age is a big advantage cause before the child gets to adult age such child would fully understand how to become a successful Bitcoin investor, including managing it properly and security.

Getting our kids involved in bitcoin investment in there very tender age is quite a good thing since children nowadays can easily grab knowledge easily even more than an adult. Moreover there is no law of bitcoin investment that stop children from investing, the only thing I'm pretty concerned of his how they can be guarded by their parents or guardians so that they wouldn't make a costly mistake or probably fall victim of scam.

Again, it can also be an additional advantage to the kid in question because this move can set him/her up financially, and also prepare them for a better and a more comfortable life ahead.

Definitely okay with Bitcoin, but not with gambling. There is no law that prohibits minors from learning about Bitcoin, and learning itself is a long process, so I don't see a problem if they start early and build their own knowledge.

As far as I have experienced since the day I have been in the crypto space, what i analysed is that if you want to start Bitcoin mining, then you really need to acquire good knowledge about the mining space. As for this, you really need to gather technical information and knowledge about the blockchain and Bitcoin network.

You need to learn how to find or calculate the complexity of the network.
What are nodes? What is the current reward per block....

And learning about many such terms can help you a lot if you are going to start your mining journey.

Quote
But it's also not something we should force them to do. Bitcoin is mostly associated with investing, and minors usually don't have their own income yet since they still rely on their parents, so they don't really need to invest right away.

So what do you mean? Haha, mining is a free thing? To jump into this space, you still need investment...

Well, let me ask you some questions... Don't you need a good power system that will further be connect with network to start mining? Does it come for free? Obviously not? How will you cover your energy consumption cost? Does it come for free? Obviously not.

I know maybe you are thinking about alternatives to cover the cost of energy, like solar panel, is solar panels come for free, haha? Obviously not...

So either you are investing in bitcoin or want to start bitcoin mining, you will need money... But at the initial stages of bitcoin mining, you just need to invest one time, and with the passage of time, your money will be recovered. CMIIW!
