Kids are not to make choices when it comes to gambling, they should not be allowed to gamble until the are 18. They are small and not yet adults and they are not making money yet for themselves. Anyone that is not making money also should not be gambling. But some children are very wise, they will gamble in a way that no one will know. I am not talking about the kind of bet between children, but I am referring to gambling on gambling sites.

If we consider the impact of gambling on today's juveniles and how simple it is for them to access gambling platforms, which, in my opinion, is the reason why most casinos have age restrictions on gambling services. I agree with what you said because we must prioritize the kids future and educate them about the drawbacks of gambling when they are young, or else they will encounter people who do not view gambling as a bad thing for minors, much less as a source of income.

When I was a child, I did many kinds of gambling with my friends, even in primary school. We used to organise 2 groups and cricket and football matches, the winning team would have cash as a prize, and sometimes we played card games, just bet 50 cents or 1$, although it was a lot of entertainment for us, not serious gambling, I don't know if it is called minor gambling.

You said an interesting thing. It reminded me of my childhood . When I was child, I also used to bet on various things with 50 cents or candies. The amount may be small but the joy was great. I think almost everyone has such childhood stories. But you can't compare them with gambling. Especially not with today's modern online gambling.

Today's minors have 24/7 access, instant betting and aggressive promotion through smartphones. In other words, the easy accessibility and commercialization of gambling has increased the risk of young people. I am sure you must have a lot of experience in gambling because you started it at very young age tell me did gamble hurt you a lot as well just like others or it was your grandfather's setup so you had a house edge  . Any ways jokes apart i started gambling 5 yrs ago when i was around 20 my friends they took me to the casino and after that we will go once or sometimes twice a week to the casino but then i realize that the ending of this stuff is not good so i quit and leave those friends as well.

Maybe because I feel there is a gambling abused contents attached to it because at 10 you are not supposed to gamble and if at all your grandpa is aware about you being exposed to gambling can influence your life I am sure he would not let you come around his gambling shop.

My intake is that... In as much as you may have got some entertainment memories in that course, I totally condemns the act of teenages gambling because growing up with it without proper guides can ruin your life but until you grows to the age of realizing knowing when things goes bad, you will not know realize it how the repercussions will come.

I can't really remember the age I was when I started gambling but all I can say is that I started gambling very early. My father used to play coupon pool and he has his own record at home that he forecast with. Well, I didn't have access to gambling as a minor because I had older ones who didn't give me that chance to come out and play around with my mates, to mingle around, and to know what's happening in town that I should engage in. It's always from house to school, from school to house. Nothing else.

Honestly I can’t remember when exactly though I started a little bit late not the minor age range, I knew about gambling with the help of the internet. The internet is a real big space, you might think these ads are not reaching the right audience meanwhile the ads is creating more gambling awareness, despite the fact I was not a minor then when I found out about gambling and I had to play games I was not knowledgeable of really weighed me down.

Everybody have to  speak for themselves, as for me I started gambling at the age of 19-20 or there about but. I'm sure that I'm already a youth before I started gambling, because back then I used to see offline casino managers chasing people out in their casino office then I didn't know it's due to the fact that they are still under age, it's when I asked questions that they told me it's because they are under age. Your exposure to gambling was very young unlike the stories we hear about minors getting exposed when they were already teenagers. It is good that you had someone to guide you through and got to know about the risk of involving in gambling and the negative aspect of it in your life.

Not all minors or even older ones get to know about the repercussions or consequences of gambling, so they fall for it and then later had to regret it when it is already too late for them. Gambling needs to be a big disclaimer especially for minors and they should not be allowed to get close to participate in gambling activities even if it a family known trajectory, the later effect is always hard to condone for them.

In my secondary school days I and my mates places bets over our examination and test scores  .We usually bet that on the person that finishes top in the class, mehn we did crazy things back then, and funny enough I made some wins, but majority of times I lost to my classmates   We where mostly three who places the bet and after the session finishes, we would help our teachers to compile results and in the process, we secretly peeped into our results to see who did well and who didn't.Those bets had its own benefits though and one of them is that it made us put more effort in our studies.That bet we usually placed even paid of while I was in the university because that habit of waking up in the middle of the night to burn the midnight candle, become a huge part of me later on..
I would say that all of this actually influenced me and kind of made me the gambler I am today..

In as much as I find the story fascinating, I will not take away from the fact that such early exposure is normally considered to be a recipe for disaster in some kids lives. The reason you were lucky to develop self-control is because you saw firsthand the dark side of loses when watching those players but most kids are not that lucky in their case they might focus more on the exciting part of just winning which will be like a dopamine rush to them before they are able to use their brain to properly understand financial risk.

Kids that are exposed to gambling can be affected negatively or not. It all depends on how the kid see it. Some are smart enough to know that's a dangerous activity for them while, some get carried away with it and get trapped.

Hmm, some kids like you might understand the risk and stay away. Other might get carried away. I don't know how reasonable it is to say that it all depends on how the kid sees it. Minors judgment is still developing. They are called kids because they can't see properly. And gambling products are designed in such way that excitement and reward are more salient than risk perception.

So leaving protection only on child's intelligence or self-control is not enough. Even after we are so experienced, we still need to use tools like speed limit, self-exclusion because individual discipline alone is not always reliable. This argument is even stronger in case of minor.

Yes, I agree that early exposure does not create addiction. But from what I have seen, upside of unnecessary exposure is very low and downside is potentially large. So prevention makes more sense to me.

There maybe some advantage for someone that started gambling as a minor. Starting gambling as a minor can make someone to get to understand gambling more , however it can also be dangerous. I think your own case is different from the one we are talking about here, if it's that kind of gambling we are talking about everyone literally do that when they were growing up. Personally I do bet with friends when I was still a child rather we don't bet with money but with food sometimes we implement rules that whoever that losses will be the one to wish our dirty clothes, And then we laughed over it. However, this type of gambling we are talking about here is far from this one, we are talking about sports gambling. For me I don't gamble when I'm still a kid I started gambling in my 20s.

The vast majority of us start gambling at an unnoticed age and questions from topics like this make us to take back some time's and reflect on how our gambling experience began, what I can say is that while we are young the most gambling we engage in are informally, until I became adults before we know that those games way back are also gambling, but in a different experience and way's, but in conclusion I never start gambling as minor but at young age slitly above 18+ but not older than 20s before my first gambling experience.

I was not involved in gambling as it is called professional gambling. But I have gambled with friends since a young age, in lottery, betting with friends, betting on physical sports and many other things. However, 10 years old is very young, I may have gambled for the first time at the age of 13-14, I do not remember clearly.

I do not think we can call these events gambling, all these were a golden past of childhood. The most interesting thing here was that if I lost in gambling, I would never pay the gambling money. I participated in the lottery many times in my childhood and won, so far my lottery winning record is 6/10, here I won 5 out of the first 5 lotteries and 1 out of the next 5. The lottery prize was also very small, which is in line with childhood.

Yes, I did. You know that in our country, the gambling setup from place to place is just easy to do, and that's why, even with bystanders, we'd see the card games and other gambling games that we can find in every neighborhood. That's why my mind was already open when I was a minor and had known about gambling by then. No one gives that reminder not to get addicted because it's just all about the fun, real fun to be honest. But that young mind of mine was dealt to think that there's money in gambling and havent realized it too early that it should be done for fun.

Not all underage gamblers will understand the risks like you, it is out there more out of control after they get to know gambling then this is more dangerous than the child understands how to control themselves.

I do not gamble underage with real money, except card games just for fun not only card games but other games also just do not involve money.

When I was a child I would participate with my family in activities which directly involved gambling, mostlt playing lotteries and also playing bingo around the house of my grandmother. It was seen rather as a social activity which was common to see children to partake in.

Just that, I did not got involved into casino games or crypto currency orientes services until I became a young adult and I was legally capable to register by myself on those websites.

Here in my country, people dont actually take children gambling so seriously, gambling is socially acceptable.
