There were crypto projects that have that sense where they have included virtual reality and a bit of AI.
I don't think they have become popular because they were introduced in the wrong period.
This time, they can try to push that again and because AI is becoming popular, this MCP might be looked at.
Although, we don't know if the majority of the gamblers would like the concept/model. Because to me, I like the traditional sense.

Previous attempts at metaverse casinos or VR gambling have largely failed because they tried to solve a problem that doesn't really seem like a problem to me. They were trying to do something that we can easily do in traditional online casino, such as opening a game, quickly placing a bet, and getting results. VR adds an extra layer of technology on top of that, essentially doing nothing.

When it comes to gambling, I like instant response, simple user interfaces, and minimal barriers. All regular gamblers like these. And new gamblers also prefer simple user interfaces. So I don't think VR will do much in this regard.

Again, my main goal in gambling is the immediate risk and reward excitement. I get a lot of joy when I win big. Many people might be happy with smaller wins or take more risks. But if you talk about VR or AI agents, you never get that excitement. They actually ruin the main thrill of gambling.

Adopting to such innovation is not the problem but the problem is whether the cost will be comfortable for gamblers to pay before they can be allowed to use such features or whether they won't have to pay at all, because even the other feature that was talked about before which requires gamblers to have some VR device, it's not also all gamblers that can have the money to buy those device. If such features is free and doesn't require extra cost, it will be adopted by a lot of players.

I don't think gambling through an API will be that good. Most users gamble for entertainment. They will go to the gambling website click the game see the visuals of the game, spin, and get a lot of pure enjoyment. But AI's API is a different thing. It won't give users any enjoyment.

That's why I think the users who will use it are those who gamble for profit, not those who do it for enjoyment. I don't think gambling is a complex thing for which we need to take the help of AI.

With the way AI usage is advancing it might just be a matter of time before the vast majority of gamblers will start using it. If not everyone, it might just be the same way. We have some popularity that still exist for those who like land-based casinos and the majority of people who prefer online gambling.

I wouldn't be interested in something like that. I use AI myself, both personally and professionally, but it's a mistake to rely on it too much. It doesn't matter if it's a paid, premium service or a free one, AIs can make mistakes, tell lies, hallucinate, and not understand the prompt correctly.

If I was interested in finding a new online casino I could perhaps ask Claude or ChatGPT to recommend some based on my criteria, but that's about it. I would want to take it from there and be in absolute control over everything.

There are different point of views with that kind of gambling.
I haven't been into the VRs and AIs but I've seen that didn't gain traction before.
But since we're on the timing right now, there might attempts again to try if it's going to be liked by the customer base that a casino will try to develop that.
Because those early projects before tried to focus more on their token than the actual use case which they can add in their own casino platform.

I've been experimenting with this at WagerX, and honestly, I'm starting to think the bigger change isn't AI recommending casinos
it's AI becoming the interface through which people gamble.

Ugh....that'll be so....boring. Brah, I can't imagine doing that, what's the fun in using such set up? Maybe I can use it for recommendations, reviews, analysis on my game play and so on and so forth, but I can't use it as my main interface and the casino as a tool. I think the OP is not talking about using AI just to find casino platforms. He means that instead of entering the casino site through AI, you can command AI to do the entire betting, where everything will be within the AI interface and AI will do all the betting related actions on its own.

I am not sure if MCP is necessary if you just use it to compare and find a casino that suits your needs. I see MCP as more than that, like being involved in the way you play.

IMO, MCP in the gambling industry would change the way gamblers play. BUT not in all kinds of games. For sports betting, it would definitely help because sports betting is based on analysis and result oriented. Imagine you can place a bet just by saying something like...

• Compare the last 10 matches of team A and B. Analyze the first half goals they scored and conceded. Find the average goals scored and conceded in the first half of those matches, then place a bet on over/under for the first half based on that analysis.
• Analyze the match between team A and B. Find 10 top pundits that have predictions with high accuracy. Place a bet based on the team that the majority of these pundits predict to win.

Gambling is built around uncertainties and that is why it remains a game of luck, if you remove uncertainty and replace it with certainty it automatically stops being gambling, bet results cannot be totally certain if it does there won't be any bet sites again, if they don't make profit they will shutdown. I'm sure that as AI is innovating to aid bettors in placing their bets the bookmakers are also monitoring the development keenly because they cannot be in a business were AI messes things up for them. AI can only give guaranteed wins if it is able to rig games but we know that it is not possible, so whether we rely on AI or not let us remember to gamble responsibly.

I have some fond memories from physical casinos but reason for them being good is mainly because memories of it grew sweeter when i grew older. Best memories are from poker tournaments, as that was having fun with my friends but that wouldn't be any fun with my bladder these days.

And when i really think about it, most of it was just poison for my finances. When i go to physical casino, i have way bigger threshold to quit gambling as it took time to get there. When i am online, i can just quit any time i want, without explaining anything to anyone. And i am safer as well, because i don't have to carry cash around.

When it comes to MCP, that sort of outsourcing would take away fun from all of it no matter how i look at this.
