Yes its huge ammount but if we all pay it can be paid, imagine if usa friendly allies couuntries will make debt fee for taxes it could work. So some % will be used of every taxes instantly to just finance usa debt.

So if all people together will pay the debt can be paid or even tho if we tax riches of uk europe canada and this will be used to pay usa debt then its not so bad.

If usa doing fine the stock market will go up btc will go up gold will go up we all doing good so let's help usa
I don't even have a huge debt and still having a hard time in paying those little amounts that I have an obligation with, let alone thinking of paying the USA debt. The billionaires can assemble and have this as their goal but will they care for? It's not the point of making the price of BTC higher, it will eventually go up even without having the goal of thinking to pay for USAs debt. The government itself can do it alone and the sad solution they have is to keep printing more dollars and make the inflation higher. That's where it is heading.

Why are we paying USA's debt? This has to be one of the weirdest threads I've seen lately. I can't tell if OP is joking, being sarcastic or just trolling.

Even US citizens wouldn't want to pay off that debt, so expecting other countries to contribute money to it is beyond naive. The answer is simple, whoever ran up the bill should pay it. Look at the Americans who made it onto the list of the world's richest without paying any taxes. You can start collecting the money from them. Wink

I really don't feel like chipping in to pay off my country's debt. The total currently stands at around $576 billion. Even if we paid it off, my children and grandchildren would likely still be burdened by that debt. The problem is, we already pay so much in taxes, and our country has such vast natural resources. Yet, because the government hasn't managed to optimize these assets, the situation is as bad as it is.

Personally, I’d rather see the embezzled funds returned to cover the state's losses; that could actually make a real dent in the national debt. Just imagine the sheer amount of wealth that gets siphoned off through systemic corruption here, yet, unfortunately, the penalties are so lenient. That’s why there’s no guarantee that any money we chipped in would actually be used to pay off the debt, haha.

You go pay USA's debt alone. They still have assets worth multiple times more than they debt. They have also lots of reserves assets worth trillions. Why do you think we need to pay their debt, when they have power to do that?

I you think we pay USA's debt, then USA will help to pump its stock, bitcoin and crypto. This obviously a very wrong understanding.

The better to think how to survive during the bear market and to make money from the current bullish trend.
That is already happening. Instead of increasing their purchases of US treasuries as they did in previous decades, central banks around the world have shifted toward buying gold and other asset. De dollarization is no longer just a theory.

https://www.statista.com/chart/35763/share-of-gold-and-us-debt-holdings-in-foreign-central-banks-reserves/
If buying gold and other reserve assets could be called as a dedolairaztion. Can you call US was doing de-dolarization for themselves because they also stocking as many gold as they can do back their economy and currency?

Apart from that dollar's domnation is also growing so fast in term of tokenization called stable coin. So de-dolarization seems BS.

semantics = a word like de-dollarization

but what is real is

1776 to 1971 gold standard debt went 0-.398 trillion or a little over 0.002 trillion a year.
1971 to 2008 debt went .398 trillion to 10 trillion or a little over  .2595 trillion a year.
2008 to 2017 debt went from 10 trillion to 20 trillion or a little over 1.111 trillion a year
2017 to 2022 debt went from 20 trillion to 30 trillion or around 2.000 trillion a year.
2022 to 2026 debt went from 30 trillion to 40 trillion or around 2.500 trillion a year.

some time in 2029 maybe Sept-Nov we will pass 50 trillion and be averaging over 3 trillion a year.

and some time in 2032 we will pass 60 trillion and be averaging 3.33 to 3.5 trillion a year.

it is not going to last forever .  My guess is  2032 to 2040 pop  and the biggest pop "ever", well since Egypt and the pyramids

Worst idea ever damn, other 60% of countries in the world are eating dirt compared to american salary and they have no part in raising that debt.

Whole idea is privatize the capital and socialize the debt if that ever happen, the riches become rich and poor will suffer for eternity. Worse, even if stock market goes up nobody will get the large share of profit but the US billionaires. Your $100 investment become $200 but billionaire's $500m investment become $1 billion.

If buying gold and other reserve assets could be called as a dedolairaztion. Can you call US was doing de-dolarization for themselves because they also stocking as many gold as they can do back their economy and currency?

So what would you call it when central banks shift large part of their reserves from US Treasuries into gold? Or the USD's share of global foreign exchange reserves fall from 71% to 54%? And what about oil trades between Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia and China increasingly being settled in yuan instead of USD? If that's not part of the dedollarization process, then what is?

Apart from that dollar's domnation is also growing so fast in term of tokenization called stable coin. So de-dolarization seems BS.

It's a smart strategy for maintaining the dominance of the USD. But it is still too early to say that it will actually help preserve the dollar's dominance or prevent the dedollarization process.

And why would the U.S. need to pay off its debt? Smiley
They’re perfectly comfortable living with this debt,  it doesn’t cause any major problems. If necessary, they’ll print as many dollars as they need, which will quietly disappear into the global market, and "export" inflation to other economies. "U.S. national debt" is a fleeting scare tactic that each side simply exploits for its own purposes.
As you said, the States can cover this debt by printing money, which will then fly around the world without anyone even noticing.

Why should people have to pay it? Are they shifting the burden onto the people again, while the government is innocent? No, that's not how it works. The government must be held accountable for creating this situation. It can't be tolerated and tolerated.

Not that easy fella. Something like this usually does more harm than good overall. If the entire planet actually somehow conjured up this miracle, it would send all countries into chaos mode thanks to banks collapsing, trade networks getting screwed etc.

Looks at what happened when Andrew Jackson did something similar way back in the 19th century. The Panic of 1837 screwed the country. Basically, their trillion dollar debt will keep growing with time.

Your comment seems to be trying to centralize Bitcoin. I can't agree with the idea that if the US is doing well, BTC will be good. Yes, it is true that if we see the US debt increasing and if we hear something bad or good about the Bitcoin market from the US, then maybe there will be some volatility in the BTC market, but I don't think it will completely destroy Bitcoin. The main purpose of creating Bitcoin was to remove third-party interference from the financial situation.

Of course, Bitcoin investment seems much better than other investments to me, so our first goal is to invest in Bitcoin.

After Donald Trump came to power for the second time, many expected the country to reach a strong position financially, but instead, he has trapped the country in a debt trap. Currently, America's debt is skyrocketing. Every president engages in some war to maintain his superiority in the world. Each war expenditure has a negative impact on the country's economy. Despite using many strategies, Trump has not been able to reduce the per capita expenditure of his citizens, on the contrary, the per capita debt of each citizen has increased. Despite applying tariff policies on different countries of the world, the country has not been able to achieve anything positive. On the contrary, the debt burden is gradually increasing. Even by stealing oil from Venezuela and selling it on the world market, Trump has not been able to become financially self-sufficient, but the debt is increasing.

Your idea is not correct. The world financial system is not run based on any one country. America will try to exert influence as a powerful country in the world and will succeed in some cases. Every country in the world has its own financial policies and financial systems. America may temporarily negatively influence other countries, but it is not permanent and power is never centralized; it will gradually become decentralized.

It's not like the US has debt and that's it. They create trillions of dollars debt every year and before you start paying old debt, you have to cover the debt for the current year and the next year.
But I miss the part where US's strength and debt becomes the problem of Europe, Australia, Canada, Japan and other allies (the US can be a competitor of EU too). These countries have their own debts and for everyone, personal debt is priority over someone else's debt. Also, paying off the debt isn't the major problem here. More practical target would be stopping debt from growing faster than the economy.

When it comes to Bitcoin, yes, Bitcoin's price can go up but I wouldn't say that gold's price will go up because people invest into Gold for its stability. If investors become less worried about inflation, then gold's price can actually decline.

That's what I call positive thinking but my friend things don't work that way. First of all no one from the world would agree to pay debt of US as they have nothing to do with that debt. Secondly, it's not possible for every person to pay debt of a country even if 2% population of developed countries or US allies agree to donate $10 a month still it won't be enough to pay the debt. Paying of that debt isn't as easy as it sounds, if it was that easy then it would have been already paid, and also not only US but most of the countries are in debt.

Do you really believe teamwork will work that easily?

Let's use donations and charities, for example. Some of them are people who have cancer, but there's just little amount they receive from people. Those human beings are dying, and yet the donations are very low.
Now, let's change the subject to the "debt" of the USA. Do you really believe that non-Americans will just easily give out their money for their own debt? I doubt that. Heck, even some people of them might not help out, especially those who don't trust their government.

Also, there's no assurance that those commodities will increase in value once it is paid.

And who pays off the debt of those other countries? Is this how special the USA are more than the rest of the world.

Each country has their debt they are servicing and you will not expect that the government taxes their citizens heavily just to help pay the debt of another country.

I know of debt cancellation, relief and pardon but never heard about this type you suggesting on behalf of the USA.
OP's idea is the dumbest one ever heard in a long while. USA accumulates debts and other countries  pay, like how's that even feasible?

Does he know we're talking about $40 trillion here? Every country that is acquiring debts should be responsible for paying theirs, just like my country is to $114.95 Billion and my president is still borrowing more, US debts would keep increasing and we would keep paying for it?

Such horse shit doesn't happen OP.

A few months ago there are news about pooling state budget funds to help the country pay off debt which turned out to be a hoax in my country. After that many people discussing about this possibility, even mathematically this makes sense but economically this idea are too good to be true.

I try to simulate it and seems country foreign debt different with our debt. A country has ability to produce income through economy growth, taxes, asset management and other country revenue for decades or country possesses relatively sustainable sources of revenue from billion economic activity by citizend and companies. So what government need to manage are ability to create bigger income than its debt burden.

In special case, government pressuring the public to pool money to pay off the debt, then those money will be taken from saving, income, business margin or asset, on the other hand citizens will loose their financial ability to buy goods, expanding the business, pay salary which mean consumption and investment decreased. THis will give greater impact to business climate, GDP and also revenue from taxes.

For US cases, why should we worry ? AS has many amazing mechanism which make their debt is manageable. Such as maintaining economic growth as solution to fix debt to GDP. US has wide tax base which mean bigger ability to create revenue. US issuing treasury securities with varying maturities for refinancing and roll over to extend the debt repayment structure. Who have or which country can beat USD status as reserve currency which give significant room for financing plus US has governmen bond market that vas, liquid and globally traded, none possess it. We know that US has many problem but teir debt still at a safe level.

What is this national debt? It’s the difference between how much the US produces and how much it consumes. And they’ve consumed 40 trillion worth of other people’s stuff. That’s what living on credit means. Other countries are paying for the lives of US citizens. So, who should other countries be paying this debt to? To themselves?

The debt will never be repaid, moreover, now this debt is more of a concern for the creditors than a problem for the US. The whole world is thus interested in ensuring that neither the treasuries nor the dollar collapse. A very clever scheme.

I understand you're point, it's for good but why would other countries pay US debt? Did US say they can settle their debt or is it affecting their economy so badly that many people find it tough to survive? Those are the question i'll need you to answer, especially the first cause I don't think sovereign countries like the ones you mentioned would want to settle the debt of another country when they got theirs to handle.

Also, do you think taxing all the rich people in those countries you mentioned would be enough to settle the debt, the US debt is almost $40T or about that figure if am not mistaken so it would require more than just the rich people to clear it. Many allied countries are already investing in the US economy and they're still on of the biggest economies with or without the debt.

Your $100 investment become $200 but billionaire's $500m investment become $1 billion.

you can't compare the American salary of 100k to a poor  African country salary of 6k

It is just not that simple.

I spend so much fucking money on taxes + insurance it is crazy.

My house tax is 10,900 a year. I do not pay it I lose the house. They send in cops and the Sheriffs and by by home.

That is a must pay.

My medical insurance is  13,500 .

So those two things are 24,400 a year. So I have a car I have to insure it or be subject to tickets fines even jail my insurance for the car is 3,600 a year

that puts me at 24,400+3,600=28,000

oh house insurance and flood insurance are 4,000 a year.

so 28,000+4,000=32,000.

now my 100,000 salary is cut to about 80,000 after state and federal taxes

so I get 80-32 I mentioned and I am at 48,000 which seems nice to a third world country.

Oh lets see what else

running a car  fuel repairs
buying a car

I will call that 8k maybe 9k

so 48-9 = 39k

Power bill      5k a year
phone bill      1k a year
heat bill        4k a year
that is 10k

so 39k-10k=29 K

food well I am a diabetic which means more meats and proteins way less carbs ie costly diet.

If I buy eggs chicken beef pork cheese along with good vegtables and fruits I spend 10k a year which I do.

so 29k-10k =19k

now 19k seems like a lot of extra money.

So what did I leave out . Clothes  lets argue 1k

that means 19k-1k=18 K

oh garbage collection bill 1.5k yearly
water bill 1.5k yearly
sewer bill 1.5k yearly
or 4.5k

so 18k-4.5k=13.5 K

and the furnace breaks down every 10 years to 15 years.

I have done 3 furnaces in 34 years and ac with them cost was about 30k so say  900 a year replacing them

13.5k-0.9k =12.6K

I did a roof so 600 a year or 20k for the 34 years

12.6 -0.6 = 12k

so maybe for every 100k I may have 12k left.

which is not much as other home items are needed time to time.

The responsibility for the debt of a large country lies with the financial regulators of that country. The annual budget is determined and all the issues related to which funds will come from which are discussed in the lower house. Taxes are being collected from every citizen and there are many sources of income for the US government.

For the issue you have raised personally, it seems ridiculous to me that a country with a strong economy like America should be given personal help.

Will you then provide a wallet address to deposit the money? Huh From where you will deliver the aid money to the US government on your own responsibility ?  Huh
