Education up to the graduate level is very important. If the parents of someone are not capable of sending the child to school, the person may read up to secondary school.

I have a friend that stopped at secondary school, he later told me that in his hustling work, that they do him little but respect the graduates. He later had to go to school.

Normally, skill is supposed to be the practical aspect of what some people are actually studying in school. OP I believe say na Skill you try tok about, the thing wey be like say people wey go school no get work or no really plenty wey get work, na say, the Western society wey we copy that kind lifestyle, make am in a way wey be say, if you go school finish, industries go dey wey you go work, to showcase the talent wey you get for school. I think it all depends on the country you reside in. Check well, for America or other European countries. They reward you accordingly to your education. Very precise and straightforward. That's them. But for some other countries, even though education is good and still valuable, they also want another th8ng joined to it which is skill.

 If you check again, those European countries schools don't just educate, but give you also the skills that is needed for that course you are studying. But some other countries just give you education. Some can't offset the skills part and leave it to the students. Everybody go find their level.

 It all depends on the country one reside in. Nigeria rewards skills, education, skill and education. Even with the accolades I am giving European countries, there's still a downside. It's not like as it will work all the time like that. You get what I mean.

The truth is that education is very important, without education you can’t read and write, the problem we have in Nigeria isn’t education, but bad Government, bad government have eaten everything in all sectors of the country, there is always lack of employment in every country, but Nigeria is worse, the number of graduates that doesn’t have a job is higher than the once who have a job, so how does people now survive when your certificate can’t get you a job, people would have no choice but to result to acquiring skills, because when you have a skill you can possibly be having some little little jobs while you’re looking for better opportunities.

sometimes I don’t even know the reasons for the comparison between people that went to school and and people that got skills. Bro we all need each other. The economy needs both individuals to keep functioning. We all can’t go to school and we all can’t learn skills once. Whichever one life has given us we should do it with gladness of heart and live happily. What matters is your ability to provide for what you and your family will need to go through life. If you check and observed that being just educated is not putting food on your table and there is need to balance it up with skill, go ahead and do that. Yes for the country now is true, but although is not that school graduates are not getting favoured at all in the country but however when you think about what is employing people the most you will understand that skill people are actually getting more of the little opportunity that's presenting for people in the country, however another thing way skills they give pass graduate way no get job be say, if you sabi bricklaying and nothing they for the family to chop, you  no waiting you go do to get small change and when you come outside you go see somewhere they're building houses, and na them go they beg you to come lay block for them so even if is not a big money but you are feeding  so that's why skill is important.

Despite the fact say the current government in power don't prioritize education, and the need to creating job opportunities in this our country, you definitely can't compare a lay man who just learned a skill to a full graduate who went through school and likewise school also went through him or her. Because no matter the kind of handwork you learn, you can never become a doctor or lawyer in any part of this country or even in the world at large. And that's why these courses that has its physical and direct applications to the general public can never be overemphasized, unlike those that might learn some management courses that can never be applicable after graduation. So no matter what people keep saying, education is still better than just staying to learn a skill, because if you are actually good at what you learned in school, there will always be a way out to survive in this country. So in regards to your question about who this country favours most about who get skills and who went to school, I go just tell you that it's who get connection that this country favours the best, because you fit still go school and learn a skill, but without the right connection, you fit still dey struggle every day. While someone who did not go to school or learn a skill will be living soft life, simply because he has connections.

It is better that you have both because the way this our country is moving,you need to have both to survive. In comparison,I think someone who posseses a skill has more leverage because they are some establishment that you will go to apply for a job,even though you have a degree but because you don't have a skill they might not take you for the job. So having a skill or a handwork will favour you better than just having a degree. However,  education is good but since Nigeria has turn into survival of the fittest, having a degree may not be enough to guarantee you a successful future in this country except if you have connection.

It is better to go to school, but while going to school, you also need to learn a skill even before the university level. You need skills to support yourself, just in case you can't get a job even with your degree. Secondly, you need to study something actually important and in demand in society; don't study something people don't really value, such as "anatomy" and other courses that are irrelevant in society. I feel that most countries favors people that are educated and still has a good skill, the world believes in words (education) that is backed with action (skill), one thing about education is that it puts you at an edge over others, if an educated person decides to make a living from his skill it is always better because he will do it with so much of perfection, he will employ his knowledge from school to perfect his craft. In as much as the country is very difficult for graduates to get Job opportunities for themselves after graduation, education still remains the bedrock of the society and it's importance can't be undermine because the country we have found ourselves don't empower graduates and it tends to be like the skilled people are better than those that went to school. The difference is very clear if we want to compare them, those that are educated will always stand out even though they haven't gotten a source of income yet and those who have skills will still survive more than the educated that don't have a Job.

If your plan is to finish school and go get a job, then be certain that an average uneducated person will stand head to head with you when conversation on finance is being brought up but if you're not settling down just because you're done with your first degree and you're constantly growing, there's no way an uneducated Person can sit on the same table with you.

Education is not just about going to the university. There's more to it and that's what distinguishes an uneducated person from an educated person. And we have to also get fact straight that being uneducated doesn't mean that you're going to get it right in area of finance.
