It’s well known that the period leading up to 2010 was the "Klitschko era" the time when brothers Volodymyr and Vitali Klitschko ruled the world’s boxing rings with their fists, unifying all the major championship belts across every superweight class. Two absolute forces of nature, two giants, of whom Volodymyr was the shorter, standing at 1.98 m!!!!
The main difference between the two was that Volodymyr won an Olympic gold medallion whilst Vitali did not compete; otherwise, they were equal world champions.
It is also well known that the two never faced each other, having kept a promise made at the behest of their mother, in which they vowed never to fight each other in the ring, and so they did.

But what if the two heavyweight giants had clashed? Who would you have backed?

I would undoubtedly have backed Volodymyr, especially in the latter part of his career when he became less of an attacking boxer and more of a tactical one; at his peak, he was unbeatable in my opinion.

Knowing that they are both professional giant in heavyweight, I would rather choose to toss a coin and decided on who to be my favorite and then place the bet, sometimes gambling could be amazing and at the same time we can find our saving a situation whereby we become undecessive due to the circumstances around the bet we are taking, send me not even play at all if they are really confused on whom to win against the other.

I don't think they will agree to fight; they know the many risks in boxing. Once you step in the ring, you're putting yourself in harm's way, and your focus is to hurt your opponent.
They can spar because they have protective gear, or they can do an exhibition because they can fake their punches, but in a regular fight or a championship fight, they will avoid this; it's hard not to feel the pain when you're hurting your brother.

It is hard to say who is going to win regardless of the current form of any of the fighters; a lot of things can go the way of either of them that could sway the match in their favor.

You know that this is a fight that would never happen because their mum made them to swear they would never fight. If the post is just for imagination purposes,  I would say that a lot of factors would have made knowing who would win a little difficult. Both of them had their primes and definitely had advantages over the other. But my vote would have gone to Wladimir Klitschko who dominated the game for over a decade.

If you are talking about the Klitschko brothers forget it, the two of them will never fight in the ring, this is a classic debate that will never happen.
As far as I know and I once heard it in one of the Klitschko brothers' interviews, but I forget where they said it at the time, but I still remember the gist of the conversation between the two of them, in the interview they promised and swore to their mother that they would never fight each other in the ring, I don't think the Klitschko brothers would ever break their promise to their mother, that's the main point if you talk about the Klitschko brothers (Wladimir Klitschko and Vitali Klitschko), forget that boxing fight will never happen.

However, every boxing fan can of course compare the superiority of the Klitschko brothers, but remember that a boxing fight will never happen, but for me both can be seen from several aspects of their superiority in the ring, For me, for the Klitschko brothers, in my opinion, Wladimir Klitschko is more prominent than Vitali Klitschko, whether in terms of speed, boxing technique, agility, accuracy than Vitali Klitschko.

But there must be a winner in the fight so if you bet correctly you will still win. As a gambler who is looking for profit does not bother the emotion that will display in the match but who will win is the most important thing for the gambler but if you are watching for fun and entertainment purpose then you can bring the emotional display that would come in the fight. And it is not good for two bloodline to fight because of money to win. This also happened in Nigeria celebrities fight but the two brothers didn't fight though they are like enemies right now but they didn't fight.

Indeed this would have destroyed their relationship as brothers and automatically turned them into great enemies for live. Sometimes it kept me amazed how the elderly people foresee things even before it occur, who know what would have happened assuming their mum didn't warned them from fighting each other.

Haven't said that. Assuming I'm to pick among this two brothers then it will be a bit complicating since the both of them are world champions. The best is just to stake small while you enjoy the match.

Definitely, there will always be a winner in every game, they are both good so it will be very difficult to predict who will be the winner, honestly I can not even imagine two siblings fighting each other because of money, the game will turn out really emotional seeing siblings fight each other, I will feel very disappointed on both of them for doing such but some how here is how the emotion kicks in, in as much as I feel it is not right, if they ever decide to play such game then everyone plays along too with their betting, my gladness is the fact that their mother made them swear not to fight each other else I am sure they would have done long ago just to show who is stronger than the other, hope they don't break it some day.

When I read the title of this thread, for some reason I immediately thought of the legendary fight between the two Clegane brothers (The Hound and The Mountain) in Game of Thrones! The fight was incredibly epic, and the brothers ultimately finished each other off (meaning the fight ended in a draw). Although there were no judges at that fight... Cersei, after The Mountain killed her last subject, left without even watching the outcome. 🙋

If Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko fought, I think Vitali would win. Yes, it would be a tough win, but I think he would ultimately knock out his brother. Vitali Klitschko is known as a boxer who has never been knocked out in the ring, and Wladimir is renowned for his boxing technique. If the fight had dragged on, Wladimir would almost certainly have lost.

At the same time, I'm sure all the bookmakers would have set low odds on a draw.  No one would believe that such close brothers could be so cruel as to beat each other. By the way, I don't believe it either. 🧖

I don't have much to say on this topic because it's not possible for them to fight since, they love their mom and listened to her advice. This shows the love bond in the family because I know that, it' would have been a big fight assuming, they both disobey their mom and accept to fight each other. Maybe, it would have been fun watching them fight each other.

If you want my personal pick, if it was prime-for-prime, I would take Wladimir by very small margin. Probably a decision or late stoppage. But Vitali would have been harder to beat than any other heavyweight in his career, that is the most interesting part of your "what if" to me. And if it were not for their mother's promise then we might have gotten most fascinating brother vs brother fight in heavyweight history. They themselve have made it clear many times that their promise was real.

But I cannot fully agree with your comment. You are slightly underestimating elder brother Vitali. If they fight in prime time I'd rather bet on Vitali!

Wladimir was definitely more technical, faster in the ring and textbook boxer. But Vitali was not just a boxer, he was natural fighter. As everyone in the boxing world knows, Vitali was literally made of steel, having never been knocked down in any single fight in his career. His granite chin & rock-hard jaw is the biggest difference between the two brothers.

for years there's been speculation about who would win in a head-to-head fight between Klitschko brothers. I remember journalists often asking either Vitaliy or Vladimir if they would fight each other and both said they wouldn't. they were reportedly offered around a hundred million dollars for such a fight but even that couldn't convince them. but if hypothetically they were to meet in the ring, I'd bet on Vitaliy. he can take a punch better and has more stamina if the fight goes 12 rounds.

The fight won't happen at all. The two brothers won't accept a challenge from each other in a heavyweight match, especially when the bond outside of their profession is stronger. If, surprisingly, they accept such a challenge, it will ruin the family relationship they have had since they were kids.
