Everyone makes mistake especially newbies and the best thing to do is to learn from it and move on, one of the biggest mistakes that newbies make about Bitcoin investments is believing that they would start getting profit almost immediately after investing and it becomes a problem when it doesn't happen as they expected. One mistake I wish I had avoided is not trusting Bitcoin enough to always deliver considering its history and how it has made true investors proud over the years but now I know better, newbies should always go through the history of Bitcoin and see that fear will only lead them to make the wrong decision.

One mistake new BTC holders make is being impatient in holding BTC for the long term and forgetting about emergency funds and reserve funds.

Everyone will only realize that long-term holding is the best choice when they have made the mistake of either selling early or not buying at all. That gives them the thought that if they have bought earlier than the others and still holds it, this gives them the edge to profit more than the others who have been speculating for so long and yet they don't do anything at all. But then, it only shows them that both of these people are just the same when they're not applying it to themselves. It also leads to waiting longer before taking action even if the opportunity is showing them that it's one of the right time to buy. For example, a couple of months or weeks ago before this surge recently.

I think hearing real experiences would be more useful than just reading general advice.

I think the common mistake that do the every beginner investor specially  from FOMO , because in most the cases it is actually seen that the people are coming to this space from the positive market , I mean when market goes on the bullish .

Even in my case I make the first mistake from the FOMO,  and as well again after a time I also do the mistakes with the fud like I had a good fund for investment but I didn't make any investments and also now regretting on for missing the opportunity.

When it comes to Bitcoin, we must be protective of our investment, remembering that not everyone in the world owns Bitcoin.

Newbies want to see their money multiply almost 1,000 times right from the start and become millionaires, living the high life.

The lack of financial education is evident when people don't have the fundamentals of investing, the Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) method, basic concepts like accumulation, and different ways to manage their money, including creating a separate emergency fund and not touching their Bitcoin investment.

Better understanding of financial education and risk management is key for success in Bitcoin because without having these things, no one can do good for the long run. Always first do good work and then have entry; it's helpful and also gives good results. Never compromise about phrases; always have enough backup, which gives extra security and relief. Many new Bitcoin users do not understand how important it is to keep their seed phrase in a safe place so that they don't lose it. They think it's just a password, but it's more than that because, unlike passwords, a seed phrase can't be recovered when lost. And without it, you lose your funds.

You are right that seed phrase is not like a password type that can be reset if forgotten. There is no reset option in bitcoin wallet. Seed phrase is required to access bitcoin wallet and this is the only key to access wallet. A newbie who wants to start his journey in bitcoin must understand this properly. Because many people lose their wallet access due to ignorance about seed phrase.

But it is not always the case that you will not be able to access the wallet if the seed phrase is lost. If the wallet is still active on your device, then you can send bitcoin from it and immediately take it to another wallet whose seed phrase you already have a backup of. But if the device is lost or the seed phrase is also lost, then you will never get access to that wallet again. So, the seed phrase can be printed and stored in several different and important safe places. Where even if one way is lost, there will still be another backup with which it will be possible to restore the wallet.

Newbies I often find, they don do any research on Bitcoin as a whole, they often think that buying Bitcoin will make big profits, but it turns out they are wrong, they are often trapped in FOMO.

Furthermore, what I often see are new users trading Bitcoin assets, without understanding the basics of trading.
Others often store and leave Bitcoin assets on exchanges for long periods of time, I think these three factors are often made mistakes by new Bitcoin users.

My advice, change all that, learn in depth first about Bitcoin trading, when buying and learn about good storage like a personal Crypto wallet.

Yes, I've done that too, and I did make significant profits from altcoins, but ultimately, I suffered significant losses due to accumulating altcoins, and uniquely, they weren't quality ones. Because of that incident, I finally started to think about it and finally decided to choose BTC as a worthy asset to buy. And sometimes, quite a few people initially choose altcoins because they see BTC's high price, then when they see a cheap altcoin, they immediately buy it. Interestingly, some eventually realize that BTC is a good asset, while others give up and end up no longer involved in the crypto world.

The bottom line is, it's best not to gamble with altcoins because it's clear that BTC is a good asset for the long term, which is why some countries and companies are adopting it.

There is nothing wrong with making expectations. But this can be consolidated by looking at older charts which tend to show the rise and fall of bitcoin price in USD.

Newbies entering the market are often illiterate about the changes in price and how to manage speculative assets. So dummy trading is important and past experience in stock market does give the person better mental ability to control their emotions.

One mistake I wish I had avoided is not trusting Bitcoin enough to always deliver considering its history and how it has made true investors proud over the years but now I know better, newbies should always go through the history of Bitcoin and see that fear will only lead them to make the wrong decision.

The reason for investing in altcoins is because the price seems to be low and which they think buying low will yield better profit for them. I think i experienced the same mistake as you did, most of people who are in bitcoin today start with altcoins and focus on it because we think it is the best way to make a good profit, although i know about bitcoin but i doubt it because of how people are saying that it is a long term investment and it does not guarantee you to become rich, those words made me to think that to investing in bitcoin is not going to give me a quick profit i want in time but at the end, i regret it, I regret it because i end up buying a coin that does not have any value, but that is a lesson for me because that makes me understand that there is no way of making quick money.

I didn’t put my money into any shitcoins, but my mistakes was when I was introduced to a mining site over 7 years ago. I never knew that Bitcoin could be worth this much in the future. My lack of knowledge didn’t make me realize that Bitcoins was different from other shitcoins, I was very careless and I couldn’t even keep my wallet safe. I forgot the password and couldn’t get access to my wallet anymore.

Of course, I could consider mine a mistake but to others it’s the entry point why they are grateful for and that is very cool but however I think where it would be a mistake is when one after messing around with altcoins refuses or forgets to exit the altcoin or maybe put more of the profit into bitcoin or any real world asset, then it would surely be a misfortune and a huge mistake because altcoins are not always there for a long term here I agree with you that it could be a mistake for me and not for others.
