I think the purpose why people don’t talk about depression always is because many people don’t take it serious. Most people will tell someone who’s depressed to cheer up or stop overthinking, without even trying to find out what’s going on with that person. I know everyone is fighting a different battle, all we need is to learn how to pay attention and learn how to show love, and also support people in any a way that you can without judging them.
You are right, there are many who, without understanding the pain of a person's mind, just tell him to be good, but if that person tries to understand the pain of that depressed person and gives him good advice, or talks to him like him, then the depression decreases a lot. We easily tell someone to think positively, but it is never easy, personally I have also spent a lot of time in depression, in such a situation if there is no one who will understand me like I do, or talk to me, then this depression starts to deepen. And so I share these things with my friend, and then he talks to me like me and gives me different ways and after talking to him freely, I can recover a lot.
Actually, if you want to bring positive changes in people's lives, you need compassionate people who will give them some time, unconditionally support them, and spend some time with them like them. However, another thing in this case is that if the depressed person keeps his pain in his mind, then no one else will be able to give him the right advice easily. Rather, he should open up to someone who understands him best and talks to him best, like in my case, I tell my friend everything about me.
