$CyberLeek GTA 6 leaker created a crypto token to fund more leaks?

I am honestly surprised that nobody is talking about this and I hope this is the right section to post it because I am not use to Alts.

For those who dont know about CyberLeek. This is the person or group who is behind the recent GTA 6 leaks after adding the warermark in all he leaked playgame videos. What caught my attention is that the token $CYBERLEEK has grown a huge popularity so quick with more than 1000% and still asking people to buy it so he can apparently fund more leaks.

From what I have been reading they also threatened Rockstar and warned them not to take action against this hacker or group. They are also claiming that they have the full version of GTA 6 and could leak more of the game.

I am not saying anyone should buy it. I just find the whole situation very strange. A major GTA 6 leak being connected with a crypto token and apparently using it to fund more leaks is something I expected more people to talk about.

Moreover, the token has a warning that the owner can edit it, I guess he can mint more and easily rug the whole token. What do you guys think about this?

CyberLeek is just getting panic. Rockstar can hunt him, then sue him to be jialed for years in prison. Beside that i don't even care with the token launched by this grifter. So many speculations he was playing GTA6 at the early stage. So the full version is gonna be far better than what he leaked.

Even if there's warning like that still people would choose to invest on that project. Many people will try to catch the hype and earn with it, this is common reason why there are many people caught by FOMO and rug pulls.

But for me I'd rather be more careful dealing with project like this, because its hard to trust a company that suddenly released a token. Its questionable on how they can sustain it and I think this project will became a cash cow by devs.

So with that I choose not to join with hype and focus only on top coins, because they are much safer than riding the FOMO.

This is how the scam works: instead of requesting payments in Bitcoin or Monero, they inject tokens to multiply the amounts they receive from the leaks.

The market is no longer scary to them, they don't take warning seriously. What most of these meme coins hunters and buyers are after is what can give them fast profit. They don't care what's backing the token up or the idea behind it. As long as it's making headlines on social media, and it's trending they will take advantage of that and invest what they could, which to me anyone who knows and yet invested in such token should be considered an accomplish to the crime.

There's a chance the ID is stolen anyway, so it's kinda pointless unless they got something else. Releasing a scam token to fuel more leaks is definitely scummy though. Whether he get caught or not we can only hope people aren't dumb enough to buy tokens just so they can see some clips early.

This is not just another meme coin, as it seems the token is being linked to the funding of alleged GTA 6 leaks. Even with the cautionary tale of the token contract, people are getting into the hype and FOMO. Honestly, I don't see any point in buying such a risky and controversial token to see a few early leaks. If Rockstar actually investigates the matter, this whole story might be more interesting.

If the purpose was to fund further leaks, wouldn't it be simpler to just ask for donations, instead of launching a scammy crypto token? They could ask for donations in any existing coins, without being necessary to create anything for that sole purpose.

It seems the person behind this token got greedy to profit superior margins than he could through donations, so he is playing a pump and dump or rug pull scheme with this token. Better to stay away from this.

Sometimes, even a hacker did a dumb thing by sent his identity to the centralized exchange site. This is also the reason why he's threatening rockstar not to catch him or he will share the unfinished gta VI for free. He feels panic due to cex holds his identity. So police can come to his home anytime.

Beside that none will buy the scam token released by him. The purpose that scam token is just to lure people add liquidity, then he will go away with all of money pooled by rugging it.

People have to be smart enough to avoid to buy this kind of scam, yet i'm not sure meme degen will hear us because they can afford to lose their house to trade meme.

I haven't followed that up, but it seems he doesn't even use Discord and a lot of impersonators are using it instead. But anyway, he released another leak yesterday I believe.

He'll get hunted by Rockstar either, so I guess he's planning to go big or die. I remember reading somewhere that the token exist for months before he began sharing the leaks. He definitely wants to make more money.

The token he’s promoting was created right before he started leaking videos about GTA 6. To be more precise, both the smart contract and the trading pairs on the DEX were created on August 15. It’s clear that he wants to make more money off this scheme, and considering that his token’s market cap peaked at $24 million, I think he succeeded. However, this will most likely not last long, because as soon as he gets caught, his token will crash.

However, there must be another reminder to never buy any token shilled by any account related to the criminal act.

Sometimes I don't feel sorry for people like this. I don't know a lot about that guy that lost money but I do know for a fact that he has profited off of past scam tokens. He can't win them all and this was one of such losses.

Also, it doesn't matter. What I have learnt from trench warriors is that they would buy anything as long as they know it could gain some attention. For instance, yesterday, MachiBigBrother tweeted about FriendTech's abandoned project and the token went up over 1700%. That goes to show you that there was would always be participants in the trenches that are ever ready to lunge into tokens even if they know its a confirmed scam.

Considering them as accomplice is going too far, after all they simply want to ride the train and have no connection to the hacker beside just buying their meme coins. Even though I acknowledge that meme coin traders sometime can be very reckless on which coin they choose, ignoring even an indication of rug for a quick money flip, I doubt it will get them into problem, the prosecutor usually go after the real mastermind and not some memecoin speculators.
