I have seen some casino sites that do not require KYC from users initially, but when users win big bets, they want to get KYC from them. In addition, they are put under a bunch of rules to withdraw money. This is a kind of fraud by casino sites. Honestly, a trusted casino site will never ask for this information from users.
And giving a phone number while opening an account means that half of the KYC is completed because if someone wants, they can check the phone number registration history and get the complete details of the hot user. So I think those who ask to add a phone number and those who have new casino sites that have not been tested yet should be careful when betting. And those who want to gamble anonymously should not create an account on such platforms.

This applies to local online casinos only because those phone numbers are registered nationally. I mean, they can pull your records through whatever government organization is handling it and see your information. That is, if they are allowed to do it. But I don't think that applies to online casino sites that are servicing internationally. Just your phone number may not be sufficient for the requirements they need. If you win big, you might hit the roof of the amount that is allowed to withdraw, so they will need more information.

Still, I disagree with online casinos that only use the KYC requirement when it's in their advantage. That should've been done before the gambler even started playing.

I feel this is a thread which is closely related to one which another person opened here on the gambling section of the forum, the guy who decided to give fake information about himself during initial registration...

Anyways... It would be foolish to call non-KYC a casino which asks for our full name and phone number during registration, those are casinos which actually have KYC/AML procedures in place, and those who wished to keep their information private are not supposed to sign up to those services.

It would make more sense to provide our information just once or twice to casinos who we actually trust, because of their track record and history.

It's not actually suitable especially for someone who want to hide his or her identity, but at the same time I feel they have a reason of doing that , probably for withdrawal ,and they know phone numbers is someone personal data, if not email is even okay .

So initially they allow people to use only email just to get more people in ,once they have gotten a lot of  people, and lucky one win big that when those rules are been created and secondly to avoid fraud, using those site to do money lundary ,many are capable of a lot of things,so with phone numbers it can easily be traceable ,I feel these could be their reasons . So gambling anonymous won't be as easy as we think.

Getting a dummy working number for the purpose of getting OTP is cheaper so it doesn't prove anything and this is very common practice even in the reputed casino because they have to comply AML guidelines that is why they need KYC when you want to withdraw but not while making a deposit.

So in future if you want to avoid any drama after winning big, then do the verification prior and better while registering itself.

There are many crypto casinos that do not require real identity. You can find in the forum where no KYC is required. They are trusted and have been in good condition for a long time. Many users are betting regularly. And if there was any such problem, then the forum user would have definitely warned about that casino. So you can choose from the forum, you bet personally for a few days and then use the one if that seems convenient to you in overall . Casino sites that have problems with such withdrawals can be understood as suspicious if you notice many things in the beginning. Especially if you first notice their ANN threads, you will get the right idea from there. And for new users, it may be better to choose a casino from the forum because old discussions and real user experiences are shared here. I started betting on crypto casinos after  join to the forum and I have not faced any such problem .

There are so many casino options out there that do not require kyc but are also not licensed that I might just say fuck it and give my info if the casino asking for the info is trusted. There are plusses and minuses to all of them though. Maybe just go to a real casino if they have them where you are.

You can't call that fraud, there are online sites you open could be a casino or even a Mobile app that won't require you to indulge in their KYC process till it's necessary.
This can only be fraud if this casino platform claims that they don't require kyc, like they use the no Kyc requirements to lure people into using them but then requires kyc for withdrawal of big winnings.
Did you also read all about the casino platform because an overlooked information by you isn't the fault of the casino platform.

Asking for KYC when you win big is not fraud. The real problem is if the casino suddenly imposes new KYC or unreasonable conditions during withdrawal without informing you in advance in the registration/terms.

So you have put the signature of Rainbet on your profile, have you ever played there? I don't think so. Doesn't Rainbet require players to do KYC? Most well known reputable casinos now require players to complete KYC.

It doesn't mean that a casino requesting KYC should automatically be considered a scam. KYC is part of the rules and requirements of each casino, and the regulations associated with the casino's license may also require players to complete the verification process before making a withdrawal after a big win. Some casinos do this, and once the verification process is completed, the casino still processes the customer's withdrawal.

But, it is important to understand that not every casino requires players to go through this process after a big win when they want to make a withdrawal. Some major casinos require customers to complete KYC from the beginning, so they don't need to go through the KYC process again when making withdrawals.

Some people can be weird, they forget that they have the choice of using casinos that requires KYC and the ones that doesn’t or even going to a physical casino like you advised but they'll end up using a casino that requires KYC and end up complaining when they're demanded KYC for withdrawals.

Every casino have a policy so it's left for people to either abide to it or use casinos who's policies are suitable to them, not doing otherwise and complaining when they're requested for KYC.

This is a kind of fraud by casino sites.

If any casino ask you to complete KYC, is that casino fraud? Where did you get that idea! Current guidance from UK Gambling Commission is quite clear. Licensed operator must verify identity of customer before they can gamble. And during withdrawal, they should not ask for information that could have been reasonably requested before.

And you yourself are promoting a casino that allows player to deposit and play without KYC. But does not allow withdrawal without KYC. So are you saying that the casino you are promoting is fraud? That is completely absurd.

And giving a phone number while opening an account means that half of the KYC is completed because if someone wants, they can check the phone number registration history and get the complete details of the hot user.
There are some people that will commit a crime and phone number traced to the bad people may belong to another person entirely or police will not be able to use the phone number to trace the bad people. I have seen cases like this.

Do not trust all gambling sites that said no KYC. If the money is huge, they will try all their best not to give the person the money and KYC would likely be what the gambling site will not wish the winner to provide so that he does not take the money away from them.

Why has the KYC issue been talked about a lot lately? Do most gamblers feel uncomfortable going through KYC verification? If you really mind doing KYC, there are alternative casinos that don’t require it. The problem is they usually ask for KYC when you win big, so I guess you have to decide for yourself whether the winnings are worth it or not.

You really need to do some decent research on any casino before you put money into it, because unless it's brand new there will be many stories - especially on forums like these, of the experiences that people have gone through with that specific casino. See how many scam accusations they are, because this sort of bait and switch can often lead to such a claim. Casinos really don't want to do KYC and there are some that try to keep it in a grey area where they might have a threshold before they ask for it, that benefits both the players and the casino but could look unfair if you only get asked for ID when cashing out. I'm not sure why you mention phone numbers, because they are not "KYC" really, you can pick up an unregistered "pay as you go" type sim in most countries for a few dollars which is not fully connected to any person. The truth is any casino worth playing at these days will eventually ask you for it and if they don't, they're likely operating in a dodgy jurisdiction which means they could disappear overnight.

For me, No KYC initially itself is not proof of any scam. Rather, I would see if they have made it clear in advance about their license, T&C, withdrawal/KYC policy and under what circumstances they can ask for enhanced verification.

And I agree with you, I also would be little cautious about phone number. It can certainly create personal data and privacy concerns. But I don’t think that providing only phone number is half KYC complete. A phone number alone does not confirm someone’s complete identity or registration history.
And I feel very comfortable playing at those casino that do not believe in No KYC initially. And verify your identity at the beginning. After that, you can deposit and play. You will no longer have to go through unnecessary hassle while withdrawing. Stake is one of such casinos.

I feel that the NoKYC thing is just a marketing strategy and not for real because if you win and they ask for KYC, if you want to keep your privacy to yourself and forget about the money, the casino still wins with that trick. Don't you see it that's a trick. It was in the early days of crypto that we can beat our chest and say we're using a NoKYC casino not now anymore, because the casino must be regulated by the government if they want to make more money.

They are fraud casinos simply because they ask for KYC verification when someone wins money? I don't see how they this is correct, why are you judging them when you don't know what it takes to run a casino yourself?

We are not in those times anymore, ordinary faucet that people knows very well now ask for information too, this online faucet is well known for bitcoin rolls and people have made money from it.

To burst your bubble OP your present casino that gives users the option to not pass KYC will end up disappointing you, because the more they get popular, the more they will have to comply with regulator, there is no escape.

There are many site like that this days, expecialy this new crypto casinos, my suggestion is that people should mostly focus on old gambling site with good reputation, or those gambling site that has no scam accusation or any negative feedback. These type of casino don't ask for KYC after user win big. The problem most gamblers have is that they know the risk involved in signing up on new casino without reputation, but they go ahead and take the risk, but when they face the problem they start looking for who to help them. My own is that anyone who is gambling in an unknown casino or new casino without a reputation is already at risk. Like me I don't jump from casino to casino, atleast it will save me from such situations. I stick to the one I know very well. And don't expect all casino to be Same because scammers are everywhere now Including in Gambling platforms.

KYC is not mandatory at the beginning of any casino site; it's up to you whether you plan to withdraw after making a big win. Your withdrawal will be pending until you fulfill the KYC requirement. Almost all casinos have these rules. Trusted sites KYC will suddenly ask; it's in the site's ToS. Only the phone number is never considered KYC, because it is not possible to verify your personal documents or your real identity with just the phone number, unlike your NID number, picture, or address. A phone number and an email address can be used to sign up for a casino account. If a new casino site requires adding the number, I try to avoid it. I do not use my personal number anywhere except on trusted sites. Of course, a lot of information can be extracted from phone numbers, including many sensitive details, because in our country, everyone has to submit KYC for every number.
