Reputable or reliable casinos that are not involved in fraud and have been operating with discipline for a long time, collect all the information they need from the customer when creating their account. If the customer likes it after observing all the aspects of the casino, then he can create an account by following all the rules of the casino. Reputable or reliable casinos have all the rules and regulations very clear, they will never ask for additional information from the gambler by winning a big bet that a gambler is not willing to give. Of course, it is very important to research the casino before creating an account and observe all their rules and regulations well, as a result, you can protect yourself from fraud.

And those who want to gamble anonymously should not create an account on such platforms.
Basically, since the presence of anonymous Bitcoin casinos, more and more gamblers want to play at anonymous Bitcoin casinos, they just want to prioritize and keep their personal data confidential, where they do not need verification, except for traditional/local Casino platforms.

Currently, many gamblers are turning to anonymous Bitcoin casinos, rather than local/traditional ones. If you say they are suitable, of course the answer is not suitable for those who want to gamble anonymously, but for me personally it is better to choose a casino that is licensed and has initial KYC rules, for clarity of withdrawal of funds, rather than not having KYC at first and then KYC too in the end, this clearly does not respect privacy.

I have seen some casino sites that do not require KYC from users initially, but when users win big bets, they want to get KYC from them. In addition, they are put under a bunch of rules to withdraw money. This is a kind of fraud by casino sites. Honestly, a trusted casino site will never ask for this information from users.
And giving a phone number while opening an account means that half of the KYC is completed because if someone wants, they can check the phone number registration history and get the complete details of the hot user. So I think those who ask to add a phone number and those who have new casino sites that have not been tested yet should be careful when betting. And those who want to gamble anonymously should not create an account on such platforms.
There are many site like that this days, expecialy this new crypto casinos, my suggestion is that people should mostly focus on old gambling site with good reputation, or those gambling site that has no scam accusation or any negative feedback. These type of casino don't ask for KYC after user win big. The problem most gamblers have is that they know the risk involved in signing up on new casino without reputation, but they go ahead and take the risk, but when they face the problem they start looking for who to help them. My own is that anyone who is gambling in an unknown casino or new casino without a reputation is already at risk. Like me I don't jump from casino to casino, atleast it will save me from such situations. I stick to the one I know very well. And don't expect all casino to be Same because scammers are everywhere now Including in Gambling platforms.
If they want to use a licensed casino then KYC is inevitable, they are branding it as no KYC platform but this is just a bait word used by many casinos to get new customers. The moment they starts using any centralized platform then they should be ready to give their KYC details. What they can do is to pick which platform they are going to end up trusting with their information, if it is a casino with long lasting reputation then it is better than a completely new one with aggressive bonus offers.

Still, I disagree with online casinos that only use the KYC requirement when it's in their advantage. That should've been done before the gambler even started playing.
A KYC requirement after winning a huge amount puts pressure on the player; it's like a hanging Damocles sword because if this happens at a new casino and the amount is too huge, they'll deny it with no explanation or details, some new casinos if not all actually do this.
It's still better to play at a more established casino, or, if it's a new casino, they should ask for KYC before letting you play.

You are right, Delayed KYC is basically kind of institutional fraud. If you lose small or medium bet, they will not raise any question. But whenever you win big win, they will start asking for ID card, utility bill under the pretext of so-called AML or security policies. I think their real purpose is not security. The purpose is to block your withdrawal. Again, many casino make payment process hang and force the user to play bet again. As a result, he loses all money he won.

I completely agree, nowadays any phone number is directly linked to our ID card, local database and other social accounts. If any platform claim that they are anonymous but ask for phone number when opening account, then it should be understood that they are giving false assurances to user in start.

The policy of any truly audited casino will be clear from beginning. If any site requires KYC, it should be requested at the time of account opening.

Why has the KYC issue been talked about a lot lately? Do most gamblers feel uncomfortable going through KYC verification? If you really mind doing KYC, there are alternative casinos that don’t require it. The problem is they usually ask for KYC when you win big, so I guess you have to decide for yourself whether the winnings are worth it or not.
I feel that the NoKYC thing is just a marketing strategy and not for real because if you win and they ask for KYC, if you want to keep your privacy to yourself and forget about the money, the casino still wins with that trick. Don't you see it that's a trick. It was in the early days of crypto that we can beat our chest and say we're using a NoKYC casino not now anymore, because the casino must be regulated by the government if they want to make more money.

Whether it's just marketing or actually true, the most important thing is that the casino must include this information in its terms and conditions. Even though it is rarely read in full, it is very likely used as evidence that the casino has the right to request KYC verification from customers in certain situations.
Besides, if what the gambler receives is a relatively small win, it should not trigger the obligation for the customer to perform KYC.

Many times KYC is asked when withdrawing large amounts to prevent money laundering. Many times KYC is asked from a person for several reasons. I keep my distance from those casinos which give very attractive bonuses in the beginning and do not require KYC in the beginning but later when it comes to withdrawing small amounts of money then KYC is asked. All these casinos are fraudulent. But yes we need to look at the rules of the casino seriously, so that we do not go beyond the rules and do not create any kind of problem through which we are asked for proof or KYC.

I would say that they should not be considered fraud just because they do not ask for KYC. Maybe this is a marketing strategy of theirs. There are many sites who are more interested in attracting new users. This may also be done so that new users do not have to face any problems with new login or playing games in new conditions. I personally know many gambler who want to explore new sites all the time. And complicated login processes are a hassle for these gambler. They want to login easily and play games. For them, platforms that do not ask for KYC at the beginning are perfect.

If the site asks for KYC after winning a decent amount, then I will not call them fraud. But if the sites refuse to pay money after winning a large amount on various pretexts, then they are definitely fraud.

The point is that nowadays you are an hostage of KYC if you want to gamble online. Safest and most popular casinos adopted the measure, so you have to accept it in order to play without risks of having your account of funds frozen. There isn't much escape from this imposition. It's not like several years ago when you could simply play instantly and anonymously at crypto casinos. That was the beauty of the unregulated industry.

These problems are more likely to occur in local casinos, so gamblers should know the casino's TOS in advance. Although most people are not interested in knowing all this information because gamblers are focused on the game at that time.

Another thing is that almost all casinos try to keep it a secret from players in advance whether KYC will be mandatory if they win a large sum of money. Because if players know the conditions clearly before betting or at least before depositing money, gamblers will definitely not want to waste their money intentionally. Letting the player play first, suddenly asking for KYC/phone number verification or showing new conditions if they win or want to withdraw is a very bad practice that gamblers should be careful of.

I have seen some casino sites that do not require KYC from users initially, but when users win big bets, they want to get KYC from them. In addition, they are put under a bunch of rules to withdraw money. This is a kind of fraud by casino sites. Honestly, a trusted casino site will never ask for this information from users.
...

It's not accurate to say that casinos are scamming users just because they want to enforce KYC on their users. In many casinos, the KYC rules are like that, and in some trusted casinos it's even stricter, requiring you to do a selfie and such, just to withdraw your money.

If you really want to play at a casino that doesn't enforce KYC, then you should be able to check that in their terms of use. As far as I know, there are still some casinos that don't enforce KYC. But I still prefer to play at casinos that do enforce KYC. Even though it's more complicated, at least those casinos are trustworthy and already popular.

Before you say this, you should understand that the "NO-KYC is a marketing stunt", it is subject to confirmation from their T&C. You don't blindly trust what the casino says. If the clause is present in their terms and you accept it without going through it, then it's you as the gambler that is to blame. It is not fraud, it's a marketing stunt. You should make it a point of duty to confirm what you're agreeing to.

What makes a casino trusted is its games being provably fair, good record of fast payout and fast response and resolving of clients issues by customer care, it's not absence of request for KYC documents, since most of them state it boldly in their T&Cs.

In some spots I completely agree with you. But in some spots I think you have called it fraud a little too harshly.

You are right that most casino suddenly asking for KYC after big win is real practice. And in most cases these end up with fraud. And your concern about phone number is also reasonable. I also agree that it is possible to find out lot of personal information by tracing phone number.

However I think it would not be fitting to call it merely casino fraud. Many legitimate licensed casino are actually forced to ask KYC on large withdrawal due to AML law. This is not their own appetite but the requirement of regulatory agency. So it is not right that trusted casino will never ask KYC. Rather, those who are licensed and follow rules usually ask for KYC after crossing a particular threshold.

This is a kind of fraud by casino sites.

If any casino ask you to complete KYC, is that casino fraud? Where did you get that idea! Current guidance from UK Gambling Commission is quite clear. Licensed operator must verify identity of customer before they can gamble. And during withdrawal, they should not ask for information that could have been reasonably requested before.

And you yourself are promoting a casino that allows player to deposit and play without KYC. But does not allow withdrawal without KYC. So are you saying that the casino you are promoting is fraud? That is completely absurd.
I wonder why he would say it is a kind of fraud by casino sites, even if the casino is advertised as no KYC but ask for KYC, doesn’t mean they are fraud. Op that said this know he’s not saying the truth.
Any casino at any time might likely come up with the request of KYC, as in the case of withdrawal and that doesn’t mean they are fraudsters because after providing KYC and identification has been verified, your funds  will be released to you. The essence of KYC by most casinos is to help prevent some suspicious activity and to prevent identity theft.

People who are new to this space will think it is, and there is enough reason to have that suspicion too. If a platform brand themselves as private and will not ask for KYC then they should stick to it or atleast that is what the users will expect but the KYC requirements will be mentioned in their ToS page and I am sure 99% of the users skip reading it with end up with such confusion.

A casino can be transparent and don't advertise with misleading tags and as user we should read what we are signing up before depositng our money.

Yeah, I have experienced that before. Although I can't possibly say that they are scam casinos even though most of them might turn out to be scam but there are some casinos that does not require KYC but when it gets to the time of withdraw they start requesting for KYC. I think the reason why they do that is for them to be fully sure that it's the owner of the account that is making the withdraw especially if it's your first time of making withdraw in that particular casino, of course I have experienced that before of which they explain to me the reason as to why they need my KYC details.

Prepaid cards exist everywhere, I have one especially for this, where I don't want any social engineering or leak to reveal the number I use.
5 years and no call history whatsoever, only 2FA messages, phone numbers are useless for trying to verify someone.

They are fraud casinos simply because they ask for KYC verification when someone wins money? I don't see how they this is correct, why are you judging them when you don't know what it takes to run a casino yourself?

Yup, they are a fraud!
If you advertise as a no-KYC casino and you require KYC when people win but not when they deposit and lose, then you're a liar!
Simple logic, standard dictionary definition of a fraud!

Since when did being a "trusted casino" mean they can never ask for kyc? Whether a casino is trustworthy shouldn't be determined solely by whether they request verificatio terms before playing the casino. You should read the terms before playing the casino instead.

Casino asking mobile numbers are the worst, most of the time i will enter a fake one, if its ask for verification/otp, then i will drop the registration, its useless making such account and not worth the time.

Using the name No-KYC is like the new trend which most newly launched casinos now users to attract users to their platform. But however, for the fact that a crypto casino ask for your KYC when you want to withdraw your money, doesn't automatically makes a casino a fraud, because it's literally a security measure to prevent abuse and multiple accounts by users. Because it's only when after you might have completed a KYC and then the casino refused to pay you your money that the casino can be tagged fraudulent.  While secondly, phone number is not a valid KYC, and for the fact that it can be tracked by the telecom company that issued the number, it doesn't mean a global crypto casino will be able to have access to knowing the names and details attached to a photo number, which is why they usually ask for a valid ID card. So I see nothing wrong with that.

I read casino T&Cs for a living, and the pattern is more boring than "no-KYC is a lie". Almost every licensed operator has the same clause buried in the withdrawal or AML section: verification can be requested at any time, usually with trigger amounts spelled out (a common one is the equivalent of $2,000-3,000 cumulative withdrawals, or any single "large" win). The homepage says No KYC, the T&C says otherwise, and both are technically true - until you win.

So the practical check before depositing isn't the marketing banner, it's two minutes in the T&C: find the words "source of funds", "verification" and "at our sole discretion" and see what actually triggers them. Curacao and Anjouan licensees keep the discretion wide; the stricter the licence, the earlier the KYC hits (as the UKGC example above shows - there it's before you even play).

Agree with the earlier point on phone numbers though: a number is a privacy leak, not identity verification. No regulator on earth accepts a phone number as KYC, which is exactly why sites that collect "just a number" will still demand documents later.
