No one should doubt bitcoin in the next ten years, nothing will change bitcoin from being the best investment in the world, in ten years, i believe bitcoin will become more valuable, anyone who knows the process of bitcoin and how it becomes the best in the world will never think about someone controlling it or a group of people controlling it, at this point, i don’t think we should be talking about this, because there is no way bitcoin will being controlled by any other, bitcoin will remain the same best investment in the world.
It is indeed impossible, but there will still be concerns related to it. After all, large adoption by institutions and certain groups allows them to have influence in the market. This does not mean they can manipulate market prices, but their movements, especially those holding large amounts of Bitcoin, will always be watched. What might happen is that there will be more speculation in the market, particularly for those who are actively trading Bitcoin. Certainly. As more people get involved in bitcoin and as the value of bitcoin increases, it's going to lead to more issues in different forms but an investor that has stayed from this period to the next ten years wouldn't be bothered too much about it because he must have gotten used to all the things that is associated with being invested in bitcoin. As an investor, I'm more concerned on where I will stand in the next ten years counting from now because it's certain bitcoin would have gone above times two of it current price. If bitcoin gets really bullish and investors and adapters increases greatly while my asset isn't available because of lack of patience, I'm going to be on loosing side. This is while speculation should go hand in hand with actual effort to remaining invested.

Over the next 10 years, Bitcoin isn’t going anywhere as a store of value. But it’s also going to do way more than that. We won’t have to argue “store of value vs medium of exchange” anymore. It’ll just be both.
On one side you’ve got digital gold. A stable base for global wealth. On the other side you’ve got a fast, cheap, programmable payments layer running under the hood of the internet. I’m not guessing here. Bitcoin has already outgrown the “magic internet money” story. It’s not just a speculative asset now. It’s becoming actual financial infrastructure.
A coin that has survived up to 4 cycles since it was created has the potential to do more, many people think it's digital gold but i think it's more than that, it has gained massive adoptation for years now but in the next years it would increase more than it is currently cause more people would be using it for different pupose by then. If Bitcoin could get to $100k in 15 years it means that we should be expecting something higher in the next 10 years, don't want to mention any figures but i believe it would be more than double the current all time high. You're right about not arguing whether it would mostly serve as a store of value or exchange medium, cause it's already serving as both.

I think that in the coming 10 years, bitcoin will become more widespread than it is today. It has the potential to become a digital store of value, similar to gold, but more convenient to use due to its accessibility and ease of transfer. Because it is not tied to any government, it is less susceptible to influence from any particular state or authority. If the majority of its supply is distributed among many holders, it will also become more difficult to manipulate its price. However, this will most likely also affect its volatility. With each cycle, bitcoin may become more stable, and the price swings between peaks and lows may become less dramatic. I believe these fluctuations will gradually decrease with every subsequent cycle.

Will it remain mostly a store of value, or do you think we'll see new use cases develop over time?
There might be an increasing use case of Bitcoin over the time because it is a valuable asset and people are always eager to learn and invest in it because it's gives the profit they wanted over a time, another thing to write about bitcoin is how it values increases over the applicable areas, which makes is a good considerable store of value, everything about bitcoin is only providing solution to our long time desire over his decentralized currency and network. Sure, many people are eager to invest in bitcoin when they hear the benefits of it, and have interest to invest. Bitcoin will always increase in value, because many big investors and new investors are all coming to market, and learn new things, and bitcoin is something that will make you have believe when you start and understand about it. In next 10 years, we don’t know how Bitcoin will be, because know one know the future, but everyone will have positive feedback in bitcoin, because of is value. Know one will ever think of bitcoin to decrease in value. We should just invest, and wait for the right time to be profitable, since we can’t predict the future.

What do you mean by saying that we may see new cases develop over time? There can't be new use cases, Bitcoin can only be used the way it has been designed for, but you could say that people may start using it more as a payment method than a store of value or an investment asset, because currently, the majority of people or even institutions that are into Bitcoin are mostly using it as an investment asset to make money from it, but this may change within the next decade or so.
I can't agree more with your whole point but, I think that's not the only option out there or what OP was asking, like payment and store of value are just two options most of us know about and overall these are the only two major things that we can do with Bitcoin the rest is just features we built on BTC blockchain to make our holdings and payments easier. So I think the OP was more concerned about those features like the BTC itself is not going to change the protocol will remain the same. Maybe developers will upgrade the network to save it from QC but other than that in the next 10 years we can see a lot of features and adoption of BTC, like lending and borrowing was just the start, they are now giving houses mortgages on the basis of our Bitcoin holdings.

10 years from now, bitcoin is going to get close to $500,000 and be more widely adopted than we could ever imagine. People will also have more understanding of bitcoin, its relevance to them, and how it could be able to serve them for different purposes, as a digital currency, a means of making payments, or a store of value; maybe we would have seen as many as possible, several countries that we accept Bitcoin as legal tender.

Ten years from now is a long time, in which people like Peter Schiff, the world's biggest celebrity, will kill Bitcoin several times in these ten years. Bitcoin will come back to life again. This is how it will go on year after year, for ages. However, Bitcoin has created its own position and now different countries of the world are storing Bitcoin as their strategic reserve. Different companies are investing a large part of their annual budget in Bitcoin. So in 10 years, some times there will be market corrections and some times there will be market pumping and in this way, as it has been in the past, it will go on in the future as well.

Bitcoin technology is an invention in this new era of technology, and as time passes by, different means of using such advance technology will continue to emerge which will see Bitcoin being used for other purposes asides for being a store of value to the people. Bitcoin has been in existence for over a decade now and it is only advancing to become better than it was every single year passing by. If bitcoin keeps us with this pace and never faces any retrogression as it hasn’t since inception, it will become a more stable currency than it has always been in 10 years from now.
I agree that the technology will keep evolving. I’m also curious to see what new use cases emerge as more people and developers build around Bitcoin over the next decade.

10 years from now, bitcoin is going to get close to $500,000 and be more widely adopted than we could ever imagine.
Don’t you think it’s too early to be making predictions on what bitcoin price will be in the next 10 years, I can’t even imagine what bitcoin price is going to be, but am expecting the price to be good in the next 10 years. I don’t know if bitcoin will be above $500,000 by then, or below $500,000. Let’s just keep on observing the price, and let’s allow the price move freely. People will also have more understanding of bitcoin, its relevance to them, and how it could be able to serve them for different purposes, as a digital currency, a means of making payments, or a store of value; maybe we would have seen as many as possible, several countries that we accept Bitcoin as legal tender.
In the next 10 years, we going to more stores accept bitcoin as payment method, bitcoin adoption is definitely going to increase, more people are going to be interested in bitcoin. People focus more on investment right now, in the next 10 years, we should expect more people to make transactions with bitcoin.

Bitcoin as a good store of value and as a decentralized currency will always be there, but maybe there will be higher promotion for bitcoin as a payment option during that time. Even today, some online sellers are already accepting bitcoin, but majority still stick with fiat. At least, we are seeing a good progress for bitcoin.
However, in the next 10 years, I want to see more people embracing bitcoin, not just as a profitable asset but as an alternative currency as well. More shops and store owners will acknowledge that they are now accepting bitcoin, because that's the original goal of Satoshi, to make bitcoin act as a currency more than a real store of value.
Yes, we may see Bitcoin adoption increase after 10 years and see it grow massively. But one question always remains that will we ever be able to use Bitcoin instead of fiat currency. Because we all know how volatile Bitcoin is and this volatility has become a barrier to using Bitcoin instead of fiat currency. Yes, Satoshi Sir's goal was to decentralize all financial management and make all transactions through Bitcoin instead of fiat currency. It is impossible to say how this volatility will be in the future and whether we will be able to use Bitcoin as an alternative to fiat currency in the future or not remains a question. We may see the demand for Bitcoin increase massively, but it is not easy to say how much Bitcoin will increase instead of fiat currency. But let's see what happens in the future. That question if we will be able to be using Bitcoin instead of fiat currency is not really necessary, in other words what you are saying is that if one day Bitcoin will completely replace Fiat currency? That is not not a rivalry and not the actual purpose for Bitcoin. Satoshi's goal was not to decentralized all financial management and make all transactions through Bitcoin instead of a fiat currency, it is for an alternative digital payment system without the supervision of any government authority, it still stand to be by choice and not by must that everyone is going to use bitcoin in a place of fiat currency, just know that Bitcoin is not here to replace or take away Fiat currency. We can be curious about the future, but is unknown.

I believe adoption will continue increasing, while maintaining the main purpose of store of value. In 10 years, I predict there will be 3 more bullish seasons, in 2028, 2032 and 2036, and as consequence, 3 more remarkable ATH levels. I'm not going to say BTC will hit 1.000.000$ or even 500.000$, but the tendency is that it continues getting more and more valuable within time, while fiat currencies continue losing price. At same time, I also believe BTC tends to become less volatile and reaches more stable levels of fluctuations along the years, becoming a very reliable investment alternative, side by side with gold.

I do not think Bitcoin will or should grow more than being a currency because that is what it is, we should be able to use Bitcoin more easily, that should be what Bitcoin should be achieving and not trying to be or do something different. Bitcoin has to grow into an everyday acceptable currency and then Bitcoin can say it has achieved it all. I expect more e-commerce companies was to be accepting Bitcoin as a currency that you can use on their website, government should not be fighting Bitcoin and it been used as payment between two or more countries and I am not only refering to small countries but world power countries like the USA, UK, China and many other countries as that will mean the world is now accepting Bitcoin well.

Bitcoin has been around for quite a while now and has already gone through several cycles.
Some people see it mainly as digital gold, while others believe it could become much more than that.
I'm curious how people here see Bitcoin evolving over the next 10 years.
Will it remain mostly a store of value, or do you think we'll see new use cases develop over time?
What do you guys think?
From Bitcoin's inception in 2009, all the way towards 2019 (a decade), a lot of things have changed. Bitcoin went up from pennies to being worth thousands of dollars (USD), its ecosystem grew like never before (more exchanges and services supporting it), while devs introduced game-changing network upgrades. We now have the Lightning Network (a L2 scaling solution) and slightly better on-chain performance. Meanwhile, countries decided to embrace BTC with open arms. El Salvador is the latest example of a country that adopted Bitcoin as legal tender (although now it took a step backwards). All of this was achieved in just 10 years after Bitcoin's inception. Within another 10 years from now, a lot can happen. Especially when the crypto/Blockchain industry moves extremely-fast. I'd expect Bitcoin to become Quantum-ready, much faster and cheaper to use, and open for smart contracts (via sidechains or L2s). BTC should also have a much higher price than the one it has right now. I'm sure this will result in greater adoption in the long run. A win-win for everybody.

Bitcoin can certainly serve as a medium of exchange, as that was part of its original purpose. But I’m not so sure it’s going to become financial infrastructure in the future. In reality, you, I, and most people are simply viewing it as a store of value. Very few actually want to use it for its original purpose. Nobody want to spend Bitcoin they are holding when they believe it could be worth more in the future, because they will see it as a waste. So how is Bitcoin supposed to become financial infrastructure or a widely used medium of exchange if nobody want to spend it?

Just because people are holding on to Bitcoin doesn’t mean it won’t be used as a payment. Small and fast payments can be made using lightning layers. So how is Bitcoin supposed to become financial infrastructure or a widely used medium of exchange if nobody wants to spend it?
The problem isn’t just people wanting to spend it, it’s also about payment infrastructure and convenience. If fees are low and merchants are easy to use, people will have a real reason to spend BTC, but the problem is volatility. So just asking people to spend Bitcoin isn’t enough to increase adoption. Because holding also falls within adaptation.
