I think a lot of people thought that Bitcoin is going to cause a lot of problems for the fiat currencies and the countries because once it gets mainstream, people are going to prioritize Bitcoin over fiat currencies,
The funny thing now is that people are also thinking the same thing about Bitcoin. Many people say Bitcoin will take over fiat currency; meanwhile, that's not part of the purpose it was invented for. Although some have realised this and are also doing what's necessary by adopting it, some are still sceptical about it.
From my point of view, Bitcoin will not remain the same it is in the future, although it's value today, but in the future probably in the next 10 year just like the title of this discussion asked, Bitcoin will be more valuable than it's current status and many people who didn't adopt it today will have more than enough reasons to adopt it and hold, funny enough even those who bought for short term and sell off whenever they get little profit might also regret it because long term investment is far more preferable than short term investment.
